Mike Huckabee, Tim Scott: God is Hate

Mike Huckabee stating that his god was punishing the USA by ignorng the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton, CT (December 2012)

It is impossible to think of anyone more reprehensible,  opprobrious or mentally unbalanced than Baptist preacher Mike Huckabee and his venal, vitriolic, and vicious god who demands the blood sacrifice of children to satisfy his own cannibalistic lusts, unless it is Tim Scott of South Carolina. This Baptist preacher turned politician turned pundit for Fox News, Mike  Huckabee claims that the carnage at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut was the result of his  ignominious, infamous, insignificant, grim-reaper god’s anger that religion had been forbidden to be indoctrinated in public schools.   He questioned on Fox News: “Should we be so surprised that schools have become a place for carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, [and] accountability?”

James Dobson says his god punishes the innocent to teach the guilty he is a god of wrath.

Huckabee was supported by the monstrous minister James Dobson, founder of the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family (certified hate groups; read here about the certification for the Family Research Council and its self-loathing Tony Perkins, and here and here and here for Focus on the Family), who is blaming America’s support for same-sex marriage as what propelled his god of hate to set the stage for the execution of the children in the same

way as he commanded Abraham to murder his son (Genesis 22:10), having earlier pushed Cain to kill Abel (Genesis 4:8), as the god would slay his own son (Matthew 27:46: אלהי למא שבקתני [ēlâhî ēlâhî lamâ šabaqtanî] The Aramaic word šabaqtanî is based on the verb šabaq, ‘to allow’, ‘to permit’).

The viciously, villanous, violently evil god of Huckabee, Timothy Dolan, Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI), Bob Vander Plaats, and all theological thugs and evangelical extremist exists in the bible, where the scatological scandalously savage satanic god of the Old Testament reigns in raw opposition and openly slaughters the innocents like the madmen of yesterday and today, from the purges of the Roman Empire to the death camps in Serbia and Nazi Germany to Newtown, CT where the most recent terrorist thoughtfully attended church with his mother, Nancy Lanza who was skilled with guns and a member of the Doomsday Preppers movement (many believe that President Obama is expediting the arrival of an Islamic antiChrist), arguing that to “be saved” people should prepare for end of the world with economic collapse and thus stockpiled guns, food, and ammunition.  Nancy’s fate was realized at the hands of her son, Adam, who shot her dead as his first victim after destroying his computer hard drive that had installed violent games portraying mass murders and killing.  Adam Lanza, named after the mythology of prophecies that Adam was the father of all generations and through his loins would come new generations, had a bigger plan: to kill everyone in the school–and more if the ammunition did not run out.

Evangelical extremist carried messages that their god is a terrorist equal to Abiding Truth Ministries and other organized hate groups.

Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas celebrated the slaughter, as did evangelical extremists who carried signs in celebration of the deaths, claiming that it was god who sent “the shooter” in much the same manner as the Prophets pontificated their justification of Hebrew armies raping, pillaging and murdering.  The theology of hate that is integrated within the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) and various racists groups that are sprinkled throughout the USA from Boone, Iowa (Ku Klux Klan headquartered in Iowa in Charles City), to Sovereign Citizen and Aryan Nation (it argues that caucasians were the first people created, which is unsound scholarship) and have leagued behind Governor Rick Perry (R-TX), with The Republic of Texas pushing for the state’s withdrawal from the union with the endorsement of the Governor, in a concerted effort to force god in the form of the Jesus of the New Testament (based on a single bible verse: Matthew 10:34: Μὴ νομίσητε ὅτι ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν· οὐκ ἦλθον βαλεῖν εἰρήνην ἀλλὰ μάχαιραν and the Vulgate reads: nolite arbitrari quia venerim mittere pacem in terram non veni pacem mittere sed gladium) to bring about the apocalypse and end life on the planet so that the Elect would rule for 1000 years before an imaginary, non-biblical rapture (the word appears nowhere in any holy writ except as an expression of praise: Luke 1:67 or a form of sexual passion as in Proverbs 5:19, Psalm 28:7, and so forth).

The rape of children and women and slaughter of children in front of their parents is hailed by the grotesque gaggle of gods in the Old Testament who finds comfort and joy in the carnage: “Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword.  Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes.  Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes.  For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off.  The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows.  They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT).  It is found more frenzied in Numbers 25:3-4:  “And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, ‘Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Scott Lively, Abiding Truth Ministeries (CA), author of Uganda's Kill the Gays bill, and mass hysteria

Scott Lively, Abiding Truth Ministeries (CA), author of Uganda’s Kill the Gays bill, and mass hysteria

The prophets of the Old Testament match the Mephistophelean ministries of Scott Lively (Abiding Truth, a certified hate group), Billy and Franklin Graham who distort the bible in the most heinous fashion, and James Dobson whose rants reveal an intimacy with Old Testament crime: “And he brought out the people that [sic: who] were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes” (1 Chronicles 20:3); in chapters 17-19 the chronicler tartly tattles tellingly that David killed 22,000 Syrians and that Abishai killed 18,000 Edomites for they did not follow nor allow the diabolic deity of the ancient Jews into their hearts, homes, or temples.

Instead, equal to the biblical untrained, unskilled unqualified “reverends” such as Keith Ratliff, and the pseudo-educator Bob Vander Plaats, both of West Des Moines, Iowa, and the “bishop” Henry Jackson of Lanham, Maryland whose Hope Christian Church is the size of a large supermarket and is reviewed on the Southern Poverty Law Center as a seed-bed for hate that matches white supremacist groups, roar like crazed beasts for the subjection and slaughter of those they disagree with in the same manner as we read in Judges 8:7, we read: “And Gideon said, Therefore when the Lord hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers”  Three verses later the carnage is more articulately detailed: “Now Zebah and Zalmunna were Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an [sic: a] hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.” Only the slaughter of the innocents would appease this Huckabeean Hitlersque horned god groaning odiously for more sacrifice: “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” (Leviticus 17:11).  Cp. “The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22).

Rev. Ted Haggard on the "problem" of his homosexuality

Rev. Ted Haggard on the “problem” of his homosexuality

Huckabee and his gaggle of goons say nothing about the rise in the number of Protestant pedophile pastors in the ranks of their clergy (Rev. Ted Haggard, Bishop Eddie Long, and a long list of other child and wife abusers) and are as corrupt as the German pope who has hidden pedophile priests in the Roman Catholic Church (read here and here)—but even here they follow their bibles belching hate that records, most discreetly, the pedophiles prophets in the ancient Jewish world: However, Elisha did save one boy–in a most unusual manner even for ancient Israel: “And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.”

Scott, sanctimonious, self-righteous and Pecksniffian, is a member and devout apologist for the NRA.  He openly opposes restricting gun purchases and possession and wanted to loosen restriction on interstate gun purchases and argues that all citizens should carry loaded weapons, even despite the Newton, CT massacre (read a response here and here; watch a video here).  Mike Huckabee, James Dobson, and others proclaimed it to be their god’s punishment on the station, while others, like acerbic Ann Coulter, said it was reason that teachers be well-armed in the classroom and the kindergarteners carried concealed guns (cp. Rep. Dennis Richardson (R-OR) who wants more guns on campus; one sixth grader actually did take a gun to school to protect himself and his friends after the Sandy Hook massacre).

Jim DeMint Tea Party Favorite to lead Heritage Foundation

Jim DeMint Tea Party Favorite to lead Heritage Foundation

political novice, Scott, who had only served two years in Congress, was chosen by South Carolina’s groveling governor Nikki Haley as a payback to followers to continue the policies of hate uttered in the US Senate by Jim De Mint who left the Senate to head the Heritage Foundation to turn the one-time conservative objective think-tank into an organ for the ultra-right-wing trumpet of radical Republican politics (read here and here).  Scott is clueless of what the Constitution of the USA states or its intent.  Scott led, in 2011, an attempt to impeach Barrack Obama over the debt ceiling fight (the law itself is an infringement on the fourteenth amendment), fought (successfully) to reduce HIV/AIDS funding in his state even though it ranks in the top third of the states of reported AIDS cases (it is eighth in the nation); but, of course, Scott’s “Christianity” is limited, and Scott is in complete ignorance of Matthew 10:8; 25:36 and 44).

Scott demanded that food stamps be revoked for entire families if any family member went on strike (read here and here). The future Senator of South Carolina is doing nothing less than advocating the plan of his “Christian” god—the pagan, pathetic,   pernicious and perfidiously execrable and evil Yahweh of ancient Habiru (Hebrews) that filters throughout the Old Testament:

This woman said unto me, [“g]ive your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him.” (2 Kings 6:28-29)

And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them.” (Deuteronomy 28:57)

And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat.” (Leviticus 26:29)

And you shall eat the fruit of your own body,[sic: ;]  the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters.” (Deuteronomy 28:53)

And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine.” (Isaiah 49:26)

And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend.” (Jeremiah 19:9)

The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat.” (Lamentations 4:10)

I will not feed you: that that dies, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.” (Zechariah 11:9)

Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm.” (Isaiah 9:19-20)

Tim Scott of South Carolina (2012)

Tim Scott of South Carolina (2012)

Scott opposed not only the repeal of DOMA but basic human rights for more than ten percent of the American population, and wants to do away with universal health care, medicare, and Medicaid, and raising the national debt limit even though it would save thousands of dollars for each middle class family.  A strong theocrat, Scott is convinced that the Constitution “safeguards our freedom to practice and embrace religion” and denounces the wall separation state and church.  Scott is a contemporary Christian, but is no follower of the Jesus of the New Testament who forbade judging others (Matthew 7:1), since even god does not segregate people (Acts 10:34: Stephanus Textus reads (1550): Ἀνοίξας δὲ Πέτρος τὸ στόμα εἶπεν Ἐπ ἀληθείας καταλαμβάνομαι ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν προσωπολήπτης ὁ θεός, and the Latin Vulgate is aperiens autem Petrus os dixit in veritate conperi  quoniam non est personarum acceptor Deus).  What Scott has is the psychology and mental meanness of the Grand Inquisitor in Dostoevsky’s Brothers Karamazov, that reflects a strong reactive egoism that elevates his claims of being “taught with love” in the measures of conservatism and self-protection indicates a state of mental imbalance (Epley, Nicholas; Caruso, Eugene; Bazerman, Max H. (2006). “When perspective taking increases taking: Reactive egoism in social interaction”. doi: 10.1037/0022-3514.91.5.872. South Carolina Governor Kikki Haley (2012)

South Carolina Governor Kikki Haley (2012)

The governor of South Carolina, Kikki Haley, is but a puppet of the Tea Party and a purveyor of patronizing putrefying vilification.  The USA is the poorer for Scott’s appointment for the worse will float to the top as does all scum along with the dead terrorist theology of Billy and Franklin Graham, Pat Robertson, and the dubious deistic deprivations of James Dobson, Bill Donohue (who defends pedophile priests) and New York City archbishop Timothy cardinal Dolan (who hid pedophile priests and claimed the priests were the victims).  As long as these “Christians” chain the minds of mortals, there is no hope for the USA for they have brought a blight upon a once bright promise of “liberty, equality, and the pursuit of happiness” for the brimstone brine belching bloodshed in the name of a god lusting for blood. Their plans for the USA exceed even the horrors of the unholy Inquisition that the Polish Pope, Karol Józef Wojtyła (John Paul II), revived despite being accused of murder, sodomy and heresy.  The Inquisition was run by the German cardinal Joseph Ratzinger who still oversees its operations, along with numerous other mythologies mutilating and murdering hope, happiness, and human dignity.

Matthew 6:6, Christianity and the Mormon Faith

In the nearly seventy years that I have been on the water planet Earth, I have never met a Christian who ever did what the Jesus of the New Testament required of those who would follow him or attempt to imitate him.  This is especially true in 2012.  It crystalized in Texas where the most sinister spinners of yarns and falsified fabrications of fact, from Rick Perry (the Hair) of Texas and his NAR (New Apostolic Reformation led by C. Peter Wagner who styles himself an “Apostle”, read here and here and here) Dominionist Christians to the alleged reverends Scott Lively (California) author of Uganda’s “Kill the Gays” legislation, Bill Bright (Campus Crusade for Christ, Texas) “the Dark Knight” who praised Jesus “the warrior” (ref. Revelation 19:11-16) who would descend to earth with a drawn sword (Matthew 10:34).

Jesus the Warrior

Bright was a co-signatory of the Richard D. Land letter of 2002 (by The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention) that outlined a just war rationale for the 2003 invasion of Iraq that provided a theological underpinning for the invasion being planned by President George W. Bush and his spiritual mentor Dick Cheney–despite the fact that the Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMDs) were known not to exist and were the plant of an operative of the CIA who paid him thousands of dollars to create the myth.  The Iraqi defector’s name is Rafid Ahmed

U.S. military weapons inscribed with Bible verses (2012)

Alwan al-Janabi, CIA codename Curveball.  Bush and Cheney prayed over the potential slaughter, that would be most graphically realized at Abu Gharib prison where torture was used with the prayerful blessing of Christian chaplains and zealous missionary military mercenaries who had guns that carried bible verses, but not a weapon emblazoned with Matthew 5:9.

The idea of killing disbelievers has always been common in the Christian church founded by the Emperor Constantine I in 325 CE.  This is dramatically demonstrated by the denizens of the damned such as Charles Worley of Maiden, North Carolina who wants a full-scale genocide in the USA (read here and here), and other Southern Baptists kept busy kneeling at the altar of the original Elmer Gantry and his son (Billy and Franklin Graham), and Bob Vander Plaats who laughs at “shooting fags jokes”, and Keith Ratliff (both in West Des Moines, Iowa), with Ratliff  making a name for himself as defining the word of his god as if he were a modern Moses and oblivious to Matthew 7:1.  Ratliff’s raw renunciation of sanity, however, was outdone by to the theological terrorist Timothy Dolan of New York who conveniently forgets Acts 10:34 when following in the blood-stained footsteps of the self-serving and unsaintly masochist Jeanmarie Escriva founder of the odious opportunistic organ Opus Dei where the word “submission” takes on a jihadistic meaning.

Escriva whipped himself regularly with “the Discipline” until his bathroom was covered with his blood (read here and here and here) in the same way that the polarizing and pathetic Pope John Paul II did. The Opus Dei priest and the Pole who followed the short reign of John Paul I (whom many consider was murdered by “a cardinal” or “an archbishop with links to the Mafia … with ambition”; cf. Eugene Kennedy (Professor of psychology at Loyola University). Was The Pope Murdered? The New York Times. November 5, 1989, Sunday, Late Edition – Final. Section 7; Page 15, Column 1; John Julius Norwich. WAS POPE JOHN PAUL I MURDERED? A sealed bed chamber. An archbishop with links to the Mafia. An embalming carried out with indecent – improper – haste… And one leading historian’s burning question.” London, UK, Mail Sunday 8 May 2011, p. 26.) who was shunned by the Curia as being “the champion of the poor” (from August 26, 1978 until his death 33 days later) are the foundation blocks for the best-seller DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.

Brown’s novel is more history than fiction (although Opus Dei has no albinos that I know of, it does condone “justifiable homicide” if the Leaders of God’s Work order it to be done). These traitors to mortalkind are far more sinister and that Martin Luther and his 65,000-word treatise Von den Juden und  Ihren Lügen encouraging a pogrom against the Jews.  It influenced Adolf Hitler to write Mein Kampf and later to build the concentration camps that Maggie Gallagher and Charles Worley lust for to end the plague they see through darkened glasses in the USA.

These preachers and prelates in the Southern Baptist Convention, among Roman Catholics, Pentecostals and evangelical extremists in the USA are almost as vile as Juan Luis Cipriani Thorne (an Opus Dei cardinal) whom the Peru bishops refuse to elect as their leader in Lima. They make the Christian carnivore Anders Behring Brevik of Norway look weak in his slaughter of seventy-seven Norwegians.  Collectively and individually give life to Deuteronomy 32:28: “They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them.”

Rick Perry’s “The Response” (an 8 hour-long worship and prayer event; cp. Matthew 6:6)

The untrained, terror-mongering, unscholarly, ill-lettered leaders of evangelical extremists, such as Rick Perry, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Paul Ryan (whose own priest in Wisconsin is afraid of what he will do; Father Stephen Umhoefer, questioned the credibility of Ryan and his proposed Budget, claiming that the test of the budget is a simple one: “The first question is: How does this affect the poor? And everything else follows from that.”  The priest notes: Ryan’s interpretation of Catholic teaching in national budgetary matters and his prospective vice presidential role have him “worried” as nothing Ryan has said on the Budget or the poor has anything in common with Catholic teaching) they hold huge prayer rallies, scoring millions of dollars for a “triumphal battle against evil [non-Christians]” Faculty at Georgetown University put it more bluntly in an  open letter  to Ryan: “Your budget appears to reflect the values of your favorite philosopher, Ayn Rand, rather than the Gospel of Jesus Christ”; cp. the US Council of Catholic Bishops response).  In return for unquestioning loyalty surpassing that of the German people during the Third Reich who saw Hitler as one of their god’s chosen leaders.  According to the Reverend John Hagee, Adolph Hitler was a “hunter,” sent by God, who was tasked with expediting God’s will of having the Jews re-establish a state of Israel (watch video).

Rick Perry’s “Jesus Jamboree” for rain–did not bring results

In quest of “storming heaven” (more commonly heard among Sarah Palin’s “Prayer Warriors” in Alaska) for rain, the rains Perry promised petitioning heaven went unanswered in Texas and Southern Baptist states. Perry, Wagner, Dolan, Worley, and the other mental misfits and miscreants promise an apocalypse in their lifetime where those who follow their dictates will be rewarded with an everlasting life of abundance.

Joseph Smith Jr translating the Book of Mormon

This is in tune with the promises of Joseph Smith who created an entire new religion in the 1840s.  Although he was illiterate Smith translated golden plate that an angel who visited him at night (September 1823) gave him the power to read with special glasses (D&C 5:4).

Neither the plates nor the glasses, not even the “seer” stones from Moses’ brother’s breastplate (Urim and Thummim) have been found (Quinn, D. Michael (1998).  Early Mormonism and the Magic World View (Salt Lake City: Signature Books, 1998), 43-44), yet Mormons believe religiously that the angel Moroni will lead them to other planets when they die so that the men can produce new generations of followers.  To this end, Mitt Romney tithes to his church that does not believe in any of the words the Jesus of the New Testament (that were approved by the Emperor) delivered in any of the four gospels that the Emperor Constantine allowed to appear in the fifty Bibles the Emperor commissioned to be sent out to the fifty churches in the East in 331 CE.

According to Eusebius, Constantine I wrote him in his letter: “I have thought it expedient to instruct your Prudence to order fifty copies of sacred Scriptures, the provision and use of which you know to be most needful for the instruction of the Church, to be written on prepared parchment in a legible manner, and in a convenient, portable form, by professional transcribers throughly practised in their art.” (Eusebius, Vita Constantini IV:36).

About accomplishing the Emperor’s demand, Eusebius of Caesarea wrote: “Such were the emperor’s commands, which were followed by the immediate execution of the work itself, which we sent him in magnificent and elaborately bound volumes of a threefold and fourfold form.” (Eusebius, Vita Constantini, IV:37)

There was no consensus among the bishops as to what constituted canon of the Bible among the records of the First Council of Nicaea.  Jerome, in his Prologue to Judith, makes the claim that the Book of Judith was “found by the Nicene Council to have been counted among the number of the Sacred Scriptures“.

The young, the old, the ill-educated, the unquestioning robots that today flush out the size of the Tea Party and vote Republican fill the megachurches in the USA.  “Fools for Christ”, as Michele Bachmann described herself (watch video here, claiming that Christ told her to run for the presidency) with her fellow revivalists, conveniently forget, or never learned, that the Jesus of the New Testament never took the title Christ; it was declared by Peter (Matthew 16:16, a plagiarism from Mark 8:29; cf. Ehrman, Bart D.  (2011). Forged: Writing in the Name of God–Why the Bible’s Authors Are Not Who We Think They Are. New York, NY: HarperOne, pp. 55-58, 247-249).  Worse yet, the funadmetnalists in the USA, reject Matthew 6:6 in favor of a theocracy and plutocratic rule. Christ means “anointed” but as a Magician of miracles.

The Christ bowl (dated 2nd century BCE to 1st century CE)

A bowl or cup, dating to between the late 2nd century BCE and the early 1st century CE, is engraved with “DIA CHRSTOU O GOISTAIS,” that has been interpreted to mean either, “by Christ the magician” or, “the magician by Christ.”  Great magicians were poor; they did not celebrate out of golden challices.

Cardinal Timothy Michael Dolan Archbishop of New York celebrating Mass in the poverty of Jesus as he calls on the poor to vote for the rich (2012).

The authors who lived off the tithes of the poor wrote in 2 Corinthians (8:9) that Jesus was rich that has become the message of megachurch preacher Joel Osteen.  In Matthew 8:20, the Jesus of the New Testament only had a stone for his pillow.  The bishops and cardinals, the priests and pastors, the preachers and teachers, pope and patriarchs of today’s Christianity have shut the doors on Matthew 6:6 and opened a circus for all to watch today’s Pharisees: σὺ δὲ ὅταν προσεύχῃ, εἴσελθε εἰς τὸ ταμιεῖόν σου καὶ κλείσας τὴν θύραν σου πρόσευξαι τῷ πατρί σου τῷ ἐν τῷ κρυπτῷ· καὶ ὁ πατήρ σου ὁ βλέπων ἐν τῷ κρυπτῷ ἀποδώσει σοι ἐν τῷ φανερῷ (Greek Orthodox), Wenn du aber betest, so gehe in dein Kämmerlein und schließe die Tür zu und bete zu deinem Vater im Verborgenen; und dein Vater, der in das Verborgene siehet, wird dir’s vergelten öffentlich (Martin Luther’s Bible 1545), tu autem cum orabis intra in cubiculum tuum et cluso ostio tuo ora Patrem tuum in abscondito et Pater tuus qui videt in abscondito reddet tibi (Latin Vulgate), Pero tú, cuando ores, entra en tu aposento, y cuando hayas cerrado la puerta, ora a tu Padre que está en secreto, y tu Padre, que ve en lo secreto, te recompensará (La Biblia de las Americas).

Despite the more than 4000 changes to the Book of Mormon, and more than 7200 changes to other Mormon directives, there is not one mention of praying in secret. On other points there are endless contradictions (cp. 2 Nephi 31:21 and Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370 on the number of gods; on god being god eternally compare in the Book of Mormon: Moroni 8:18 and Mosiah 3:5, while Joseph Smith wrote that god was once a man: Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 345-346, as Jesus is less than god: 3 Nephi 19:15-18 (Book of Mormon) compared with The Ensign, June 1998, p. 59 and should not be worshipped: Gospel Truth, 1:135 and Melchizedek Priesthood Personal Study Guide, 1986, p. 46-47 compared with Book of Mormon 1 Nephi 11:24 and 2 Nephi 25:29 and 3 Nephi 11:17).

Jesus seeking unbelievers (New Apostolic Reformation)

The prayer warriors are determined to force their warrior Jesus to return–now.  The NAR waits to hear Jesus knock on the door of unbelievers. There is no mercy.  There is no waiting.  The time is now for bloodshed, and the repeat of the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham the senior god so that the Lord of Lords and Host of Hosts (a term for a senior general in battle) will cleanse the world of doubt and lack of faith as the poor will give way to the rich and the rich will be the inheritors of the Kingdom as the camel kneels to crawl under the gate known as the Eye of the Needle (Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25, but has its origin in the Babylonian Talmud, Berakhot 55b) considered an allegory for spiritual and physical warfare (camel is a mistranslation for a rope 33).  The Eye of the Needle, however is a mythological gate–as there has never been such a gate in Jerusalem (Егор Розенков (2007), Верблюд и игольное ушко // Духовный вестник высшей школы, № 8 (24), 01.09.2007). The knowledge of languages, translation and interpretation has nearly disappeared in the bankruptcy of education in the twenty-first century, and no one cares about knowledge, only creature comfort.

Politicians in judicial robes: the Lawless US Supreme Court

There has never been a more corrupt, pandering, and vile court in the history of the USA before the tragedy of the Roberts Court that is guilty of more crimes against humanity than any other tyranny.  The US Supreme Court deserves nothing less and nothing more than to be held in total contempt not only by the people of the USA but by the world for its support of torture, cruelty, corporate fraud and idiocy.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin (“Niño” or Nino) Scalia had cast-off any semblance of objectivity and partisanship.  He openly admits to siding with the ultra-conservative right-wing of the Republican Party, when he bellied up to Arizona on the racist infamous “where are your papers” law against Latinos and Latinas in the Court’s draconian decision on Arizona immigration law (SB 1070).  While the decision did increase, proportionately, the powers of the Federal government, Scalia’s brief argued for the superiority of state law over federal  law—siding with Arizona and its wealth who contribute heavily to his “funds” and is the heralded darling of the Koch Brothers’ and their labor to dismantle the Constitution of the USA and dissolve the rights of all workers.  This is done with Scalia and Clarence Thomas’ deliberate misreading the Commerce (Article 1, Section 8, Clause 3, read here) and Establishment clauses in the Constitution in their elevation of corporations as people (Citizens United v. FEC read here and here).

Silent, sedentary and stolid with the least keen intellect of anyone who has ever sat on the bench of the highest court in the land, Clarence Thomas’ vote was assured once conservative billionaires paid his most recent wife, Virginia (who has studied law but ignores the fine points concerning harassment and aspersions bordering on libel), over $700,000 that Thomas conveniently forgot to include in his federal IRS tax return (read here and here).  Various indiscretions have called for Thomas’ impeachment, the Virginiagate (that had upset many conservatives) proving to be a major obstacle in most minds that anyone could get a fair hearing in front of  Thomas, with most seeing the US Supreme Court as the arm of corporate America.

Both Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas have flaunted their ties to conservative activist organizations. Virginia Thomas, the justice’s wife, works as a conservative activist and fundraiser. Both hold the US Constitution in open contempt.  Both reactionaries reject all past Supreme Court rulings that do not fit the political agenda of the Koch Brothers who amply award their lap-dogs special treats after rulings in their favor, and deny justice to those abused or tortured with Clarence Thomas claiming a prisoner who was slammed to a concrete floor and punched and kicked by a guard after asking for a grievance form — but suffered neither serious nor permanent harm — has no claim that his constitutional rights were violated.

The pretense that Justices Scalia, Roberts, and Thomas are neutral has regularly, consistently, and patently been disproved, especially when Scalia and Thomas attended a secret conservative meeting of fascist-tilting Think Tanks and expressed outrage at laws aimed to assist the middle class and paid Thomas’ wife hundreds of thousands of dollars. With Samuel Alito, another ultra-conservative Supreme Court justice of modest intellectual ability, Thomas attended and Alioto spoke at political fundraisers for Koch-backed politicians where guests were required to pay $5000 to attend.

In 2008, Justice Thomas headlined the Manhattan Institute’s Wriston Lecture.  Last October, Justice Alito was the headline speaker for the same event.  Both spoke of profits; neither mentioned the cost to the planet or to the workers as many jobs were already outsourced and working families had lost their homes to big banks attending the secret meetings while Koch Industries continued their pollution the air, water, and lands of the USA.

The Manhattan Institute, funded by major corporations like CIGNA (a health insurance company with no interest in patient rights), Koch Industries (the biggest polluter as with Coffee Creek, AR that takes the brunt of solid waste from the Georgia-Pacific plant) and ExxonMobil and Chevron, petroleum companies (Chevron named an oil tanker after Condoleezza Rice who sat on its Board of Directors and plotted to push a pipeline through Afghanistan even though she knew such action would involve the USA in a war for oil, but prepared for it by planning military action in Iraq based on the lie of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) that would enhance profits for Halliburton and its CEO Vice President Dick Cheney.  Bush knew there were no WMDs, but saw the invasion of a nation whose leader, Saddam Hussein, was installed by Donald Rumsfeld (video) at the order of Ronald Reagan.

Chevron’s oil tanker: The Condoleezza Rice

Today Rice is headlining fundraisers for Mitt Romney and still working for an international war that was not realized with the wrongful invasion of Iraq, as she has always been a hawk for war (the CIA had warned her about 9/11 and al-Qaeda’s attack, and she said and did nothing).  Noting its profits regardless of the cost of human life, Rice delights in human carnage and suffering if profits role into her conservative colleagues coffer or into her pocket when paid for vitriolic, horrible, harridan speeches).  Although Rice boasts a doctorate in Soviet Union studies (eleven years after it ceased to exist) she has never been in tune with reality and ignored every single Islamic movement, assuring Chevron and other Big Oil that Bush would conquer and, with Halliburton, reap unthinkable revenues as it raped the Middle Eastern nations of their natural resources returning only pennies on the dollar, in keeping the theology of the Koch Brothers and other billionaire barons.  There is insurmountable evidence that Rice is guilty of numerous crimes against humanity and must be held accountable, tried, and when convicted, executed (read here, view here).  She approved tortures used at Abu Gharib prison and instructed interrogators to use them.

US female soldiers torturing Iraqi at Abu Gharib prison

Her crimes are no less odious and evil than those of the women guards at Nazi death camps and American female soldiers who pulled out eyes, finger nails, and humiliated Iraqi civilians at Abu Gharib prison (tortures that she approved of when informed of them and waterboarding by Professor John Yoo of UC Berkeley and advisor to George W. Bush), and in most cases far more blood-thirsty.

US soldiers forcing mothers to watch US military torture their sons at Abu Gharib prison in Iraq

Rice had the whispered backing of Antonin Scalia (who was appointed by Ronald Reagan in 1986 to the Supreme court) and the other hate mongers and hawks on the US Supreme Court who squelched the voters choice and installed the village idiot, George W. Bush, as president of the USA (barring a recount in Florida) beginning the downfall of the people’s confidence in the Supreme Court of the USA (the Florida court ruled for Gore, and Bush appealed to his friends on the US Supreme Court to overturn the Florida’s court).

Scalia began “teaching” Republicans and Tea Party legislators, at the bequest and expense of Koch Industries that are polluting fresh water reservoirs and the atmosphere, how to reinterpret the Constitution so that they could give corporations more power and attack the rights of the poor and middle class. Scalia has gone so far as to go on record to argue that the 14th amendment does not make women equal to men and that women have no equal rights under the US constitution.  This pleased woman-stagnifying Phyllis Schlafly.

Equal Rights Amendment introduced 1923

Phyllis McAlpine Stewart Schafly (born 1924) had made a lucrative career out of fighting against equal rights for women since her days at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.  She crusades against federal money going to education (claiming it does not “create jobs”), was highly critical of arms-agreements with the then Soviet Union, and other ultra-conservative causes to increase the wealth of a few.

Phyllis Schlafly

Antonin Scalia claimed that women just had the right to vote.  His astonishing comment brought vocal celebration by the Phyllis Schlafly and her Eagle Forum; Schlafly.  Schlafly, an attorney, argues that a woman’s place is in the home–for all women except herself.  She has campaigned not only to stop the Equal Rights Amendment (first introduced in 1923), to take “secularism” out of public schools, and to “restore” the USA to its original intent [sic] of being a “Christian nation” (that would later be repeated by former US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.  The USA was never founded as a Christian nation–although a few communities were established as theocracy, as under the Mathers (read here and here).  Two of the men (there were no women at the Continental Congress in any capacity) who signed the Declaration were deists, there were a few Roman Catholics and the rest nonjudgmental Protestants: Unitarians, Congregationalists, Episcopalians, Quakers and Anglicans. None proclaimed, wrote, or said, as did O’Connor and Schlafly, that they were forming a “Christian nation”; on the contrary, the goal was to establish a Republic with equal justice for all white, landowning males.

Phyllis Schlafly in 2011 (Photo by Gage Skidmore)

Now, eighty-eight years old, Phyllis Schlafly continues to distort and destroy history in feigned aspiration of protecting the nation she would transmogrify into a police state.  Her son, Andrew, has already established his Conservapedia on the web to issue “conservative alternatives” to established facts and entrench the false idea that Christianity in particular, and religion in general, played a positive role in the shaping of the USA; it is tantamount to telling that Billy Graham is the original Elmer Gantry in fiction.

Reagan and G.H.W. Bush

At the Koch Industries secret meeting, one of the seminars dealt with enriching the wealthy and pacifying the poor with buzz-words and catch-phrases with several prominent billionaires chortling that the “poor are so stupid that they believed [billionaire] Ross Perot’s win of the White House would see a trickle-down of his wealth into their pocketbooks”—the trickle down theory argued by the disgraceful presidency of President Ronald Reagan (read here  and here and here) and his voodoo economics (read here and here), as initially detailed by his future Vice President George Herbert Walker Bush.  There was no mention of a middle class at the conservative-minded Koch event; just the wealthy and the poor.

Antonin Scalia speaking to a group of wealthy conservatives (February 2012)

Scalia, a member of the odious opportunistic Opus Dei theological terrorist organization created by Roman Catholic priest and self-flagalating Jose Maria Escrivá of Spain that claims that it will reconstitute the USA into a theocracy, pontificates that his interpretation is based on the misogynism of the Bible, especially in the gyneophobic writings of the legendary St. Paul—a comment heralded by Representative Michelle Bachmann (R-MN; read here and watch here).  Scalia is more than theocrat, and is controlled by the Vatican, but more over he is determined to shovel civilization back to the days of Torquemada and the Inquisition.  What is easily and quickly noted is Scalia’s decisions are based for the most part on the testament The Way written by the psychotic Escrivá: bowing to the decrees and regulations set off by “a higher power” (corporations), following directives set down by those considered to be superior, and maintaining a near-caste-like grouping, with those whose election to a heaven is demonstrated by the amassment of wealth and position (cp. Andrew Carnegie’s Gospel of Wealth, June 1889).  For centuries the Roman Catholic Church defended its enormous wealth as a sign of its stewardship on earth, promising that the wealth was to help all people. Councils were called, synods held, and those who objected to the wealth of bishops, cardinals and popes were sent to the Holy Fires of the Inquisition, so graphically pictured by Umberto Ecco in his Name of the Rose; compare this to the preacher Todd Coontz and his Gospel of Wealth and Election.  Most evangelicals who praise wealth support the Tea Party and the Republican candidates for office, finding in their participation a key to salvation (Coontz declares “your seed is your hook” into heaven).  Coontz is matched by Houston mega-pastor Joel Olsteen who promises that the faithful who give generously will gather generously and can “expect God’s favor” in financial returns. One look at the lavish buildings owned by Opus Dei in New York City and Rome, there is no doubt about the “message of millionaires” of Jesus. Escrivá was able to buy his seat in heaven, and with a compliant pope (John Paul II) did not have long to wait to be entered into the Book of Saints as Opus Dei sent out its claws into schools and communities to bring those “hungering for salvation” into its nummaries and assorted odd cells.

Cheney (L) and Scalia (R)

Antonin Scalia’s betrayal of the US Constitution and appropriate judicial behavior is legendary: from the days he went hunting with then Vice President Dick Cheney just before the case went to the US Supreme Court and who, unhesitantly, ruled in favor of Cheney when he agreed with the former CEO of Halliburton Industries that Cheney was “beyond the law’s reach” in Walker v. Cheney (read here and here and here and here  and  here and  here).

John Roberts, the Chief Justice of the despicable US Supreme Court is not only a crook and liar, but one of the most tainted and corrupt justices in USA history, being second to lies only by Associate Justice Samuel Alioto.  Both psychotic sycophants, Roberts and Alito would pay such obeisance to the doctrine of stare decisis (Latin for “to stand by things [that have been settled)” that is, by dictionary definition: the doctrine that rules or principles of law on which a court rested a previous decision are authoritative in all future cases in which the facts are substantially the same, which Alito declared “a fundamental part of our legal system” when being interviewed by the Judicial committee before he was elevated to the Supreme Court. This principle, he explained, “limits the power of the judiciary” and “reflects the view that courts should respect the judgments and the wisdom that are embodied in prior judicial decisions” in order to get themselves confirmed.  Since their confirmations they have been legislating law with out majority consensus—the vast number of “overturns” of past court rulings have been handed down by simple majorities of 5-4, with Kennedy the swing vote.

Justice David Souter

Justice David Souter openly declared that Roberts and his ilk were working to overturn the Constitution of the USA create a plutocracy.  Souter was chosen, originally, for his New England conservatism.  In time, Souter showed himself to be more compassionate with the people. Souter accused Roberts of “violating the Courts own procedures to engineer the result[s] he wanted.”

Chief Justice Roberts (AP Photo by Pablo Martinez Monsivais)

Roberts publicly stated that not only does he want to take down the Great Society of LBJ but also void FDR’s New Deal and all social programs, returning the USA to the bankrupt Gilded Ages of the nineteenth century when corporations ruled, controlling Congress, initiating legislation, and controlling the courts that they heavily financed for trips, homes, and entertainment.  It was during the Gilded Age in the USA when corporations controlled the courts that venomous Supreme Court ruled in 1886 that the 14th Amendment protected businesses and corporations from lawsuits.

Lochner with wife, son, and three female employees

In 1905, the slithering soldiers of Big Business ruled in Santa Clara County v. Southern Pacific Railroad Company118 U.S. 394 and Milwaukee v. Koeffler – 116 U.S. 2219 and Milwaukee v. Koeffler – 116 U.S. 219 that corporations had greater rights than their workers or people.  In Lochner v. New York 198 U.S. 45, 25 S. Ct. 539, 49 L. Ed. 937) the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) struck down in 1905 a New York law limiting bakery workers to a six-day 60-hour week (read a summary here), declaring that such regulations to be a breach of contract rights, an “unreasonable, unnecessary and arbitrary interference with the right of the individual to his personal liberty or to enter into those contracts in relation to labor which may seem to him appropriate or necessary for the support of himself and his family.”

According to all recognized legal scholars, Stare decisis the bedrock principle of the rule of law applies universally, not only does it promote stability and encourage judges to decide cases based on principle rather than on a preference for one or another of the parties before them.  Furthermore, the bar association has argued that Stare decisis also serves to reduce the politicization of the Court. That point is what frightens and offends the Roberts conservative colleagues as it moderates ideological swings and preserves both the appearance and the reality that the Supreme Court is truly a legal rather than a political institution.

Lt. John Pike of University of California Davis pepper sprays mace into eyes of demonstrators

Lt. John Pike of UC Davis pepper sprays mace into eyes of demonstrators

There is no true justice in the USA.  Democracy in the USA is a bad joke.  There is no freedom, as shown at the University of California at Davis Occupy Wall Street (OWS) sit-in when uniformed thugs shot lethal pepper-spay into the mouths and eyes of protesters and kicked a late-term pregnant woman in the uterus, led by the lethal Lt. John Pike of UC Davis who pepper sprayed peaceful student protesters who were sitting on the ground on protesting peacefully. This qualifies as a crime against humanity and Pike should be imprisoned for life. What little comes from state courts and reinforced by federal appellate courts have been quickly overturned by the most corrupt justices in the history of the USA at the Supreme Court level with an untempered record of anti-civil rights and opposed to all human rights.

Personhood and corporations in Mississippi

Among the most graphic examples of court corruption is the case of “personhood” of corporations (and later, as in Mississippi, of fertilized eggs in the uterus or vagina) ruled by the Roberts court in defiance of over 200 years of legislation and court ruling (read here and read) with a draconian attack on the State of Montana’s that had throughout its history rejected corporate interference in state elections (read here  and here).

Samuel Alito disagrees during President’s speech

Samuel Alioto’s ties with Big Oil (especially Shell and Chevron) and Big Agribusiness has made him a defender of both and he consistently argues that corporations should not be faced with liability claims even if they pollute the planet, use forced-labor, or deny basic human rights like other people.  Alioto claims that the personhood of corporations applies only to their unlimited donations to control elections and buy judges and “justice”.  In every other case, corporations are to be exempt.

Protests against Kiobel and Shell for expoding gas

In Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum, a case that began in the Ogoni region of the Niger Delta and brought by bout a dozen Nigerians who contended that Shell Oil’s parent company aided and abetted the Nigerian government in its violent suppression of environmental and human rights protesters resisting Shell’s operations there in the 1990s. Alito sided with the corporation against those raped, tortured, and abused.  The Conservative Five politicians in judicial robes sitting on the bench of the US Supreme Court’s ruling now is taken as a measurement in cases brought against Exxon, Firestone and Rio Tinto for similar alleged atrocities.

The majority of the citizens of the USA justifiably hold the US Supreme Court in contempt and see nothing of value coming from it (read here and here and here and here).  It is widely believed by most citizens of the USA that justice like law and legislation is or sale to the highest bidder with the Koch Brothers pulling all strings on the marionette of the USA. This opinion matches the view of other nations that view the USA as an imperialist nation equal to the Third Reich that assumes it has the authority to try anyone anywhere for any crime that its courts judges  has been committed (read here and for the greatest pretense of the court system read here).

US Supreme Court justices and what corporations own them

It is commonly understood that in the decaying USA, justice can be bought as the justices sitting on the US Supreme Court are open to bribes, regularly accept “gifts” from major donors, such as the Koch Brothers, and industries such as GE, ExxonMobile, McDonald’s, Chevron, Bank of America and others that are outsourcing jobs and destroying what use to be the American way of life and the American dream that is no longer possible.  By June 7, 2012, the Roberts Supreme Court approval was barely 44% and racism (read here and here and here) in the USA was at all-time high in every state of the Union including in college towns such as Ames, Iowa (read here and here; Iowa ranks as the most racist state in the northern tier of states), Boulder, Colorado which is ranked as the most racist state in the west, and especially in Chicago and Massachusetts (especially under Governor Mitt Romney who publicly criticized the legislature’s unanimous passage of a minimum wage for lacking cost-of-living indexing; Romney argued that workers only deserve a quarter an hour raise, a claim he repeated in March 2012)—not just in the rural areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and other impoverished areas that live in home of a better life to come.  This comes along with statistics showing that 98% of all USA citizens have no idea of who is sitting on the Supreme Court—they only know the adverse effects of Supreme Court rulings (read here and here  and  here).

Michele Bachmann’s attack on US History, Constitution, Minorities

Conservatives and religious fundamentalists endorse and financially and vocal unison support Minnesota Congresswoman Michel Bachmann as the “one to beat” in the GOP primaries.  They claim that

Michele Bachmann 2011

“Michele Bachmann’s American values will position her for greatness in this contest, and will bring traditionalists, fiscal conservatives, and defense hawks to her campaign. In addition to being a champion for life, traditional marriage, and Judeo-Christian principles, she affirms support for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and reverence for the Constitution. Moreover, Bachmann affirms support for Israel, along with our nation’s right to defend itself from enemy nations” (read: http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/young-conservative-and-spicy/2011/jun/23/all-american-candidate-2012/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=newsletter_must-read-stories-today).

None of Bachmann’s stands reflect any precedent in the history of the USA, does not fit in accordance with law, nor with theology, but for right-wing fundamentalists this is irrelevant as they listen to her distortion and prevarication of US history, claims that the Bible does not make, and statistics that are fraudulent at best.  Her grasp on international matters is an embryonic abortion, and her understanding of “enemy nations” is tantamount to Sarah Palin’s claim that she could see Russia from her kitchen window in Wasilla, Alaska.

Map showing Alaska and Russia, separated by the Bering Strait

According to a Saturday Night Live Sketch on September 13, 2008, Palin claimed that by seeing Russia from her kitchen window she was an expert in international affairs as Bachmann’s attestation that by living in Minnesota she understood Canadian needs; while this made great comedy, it was not true.  Governor Palin’s 11 September 2008 appearance on ABC News, her first major interview after being tapped as the vice-presidential nominee. During that appearance, interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska”:  but you would have to be on one of two islands in the middle of the Bering Strait  without fog.  The best place for such a view would be in the middle of Little Diomede (which is part of the USA), and across from it is Big Diomede (part of Russia) as  Russia and Alaska are divided by the Bering Strait, which is about 55 miles at its narrowest point.  These two islands are a little less than two and a half miles apart, which means that, on a clear day, you can definitely see one from the other.  The Diomede Islands are often blanketed by persistent fog, which makes visibility difficult. On a clear day, though, a person standing at sea level can see a little less than three miles across the ocean. You can see farther if you go higher—at the highest altitude on Little Diomede (919 feet), you can see for about 37 miles.

What is most disturbing is to recall that this congressional representative, intellectually following in the footsteps of Helen P. Chenoweth-Hage of Idaho whom many noted was “the dimmest bulb in the Congressional chandelier” and diligently played the race card as “a white grandmother” (http://www.spokesmanreview.com/tools/story_pf.asp?ID=39727), tell reporters in 2008: “I‘m very concerned that he [Obama] may have anti-American views” without offering any facts or justification for such a claim.  It was a revisitation of the dark days of Joe McCarthy and Richard Nixon. In 2011, shooting from the hip, Bachmann pontificates: “Obamacare is bringing socialism to our doorstep” and “we must protect our traditional values.”  Openly she is noncommittal and regularly refuses to justify her claims with facts (http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201102170015), as with the issue of Obama’s birth because he is black (http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/hannity/transcript/michele-bachmann-obamas-birth-certificate-possible-presidential-run).  Her vile, hate-filled speech is applauded by those who would take the USA back before the nation existed, treading toward the sixteenth century and enshrined ignorance where literalism was more prized than scientific investigation or acceptance of that which was obvious. This is a record of ignorance more dangerous than the Inquisition and more damning of the frailty of mortals than the mincing of Justin Martyr and the transmogrifiers of history in the fourth century.

Michele Bachmann rejects scientific arguments of climate warming (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wX1UnAtynU).  Bachmann has claimed she knows more about climatology than an MIT scientist (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/04/bachmann-i-too-know-more-about-climate-change-than-mit-scientist.php). When clean energy and climate change bill that was being moved through Congress in 2009 and part of 2010, Bachmann was claiming that the bill would take over “every aspect” of people’s lives (http://planetsave.com/2011/06/14/michele-bachmann-officially-insane-gop-debate/, cp. http://thinkprogress.org/green/2011/03/25/174958/bachmann-climate-denier/) and would turn the people of the USA into slaves (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/04/bachmann-do-we-want-to-be-free-or-do-we-want-to-be-slaves.php).

Michele Bachmann at Republican Leadership Conference 2011

Bachmann introduced the Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act [H.R. 5616], requiring a GAO report show that a change to fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) would have “clear economic, health and environmental benefits” prior to enforcement of lighting efficiency regulations that effectively ban conventional light bulbs. Bachman argued, “Each light bulb contains between 3-6 milligrams of mercury. There’s a question about how that mercury will fill up our landfills, and also if you break one in your home, you’ll have mercury that instantaneously vaporizes in your home. That poses a very real threat to children, disabled people, pets, senior citizens. And I just think it’s very important that Americans have the choice to decide, would they like an incandescent or a (CFL)?” (Chelsea Schilling, World Net Daily, Sept 23, 2008 Crisis? No worries. Congress protects you – from light bulbs! at http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=75613).  She ignores the statistics and health studies that CFLs pose less of a threat to health than incandescent bulbs, and their negative impact on the environment and that incandescent bulbs pose a greater threat could result in the emission of more mercury than an equivalent CFL (Collins, Bob (March 27, 2008). “What’s left to say about CFLs? Plenty,” Minnesota Public Radio. http://minnesota.publicradio.org/collections/special/columns/news_cut/archive/2008/03/whats_left_to_say_about_cfls_p.shtml). What is forgotten is

About 50 percent of the electricity produced in the U.S. is generated by coal-fired power plants. When coal burns to produce electricity, mercury naturally contained in the coal releases into the air. In 2006, coal-fired power plants produced 1,971 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, emitting 50.7 tons of mercury into the air–the equivalent amount of mercury contained in more than 9 billion CFLs (the bulbs emit zero mercury when in use or being handled).

Approximately 0.0234 mg of mercury–plus carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide–releases into the air per 1 kWh of electricity that a coal-fired power plant generates. Over the 7500-hour average range of one CFL, then, a plant will emit 13.16 mg of mercury to sustain a 75-watt incandescent bulb but only 3.51 mg of mercury to sustain a 20-watt CFL (the lightning equivalent of a 75-watt traditional bulb). Even if the mercury contained in a CFL was directly released into the atmosphere, an incandescent would still contribute 4.65 more milligrams of mercury into the environment over its lifetime.

(Read: http://www.popularmechanics.com/home/reviews/news/4217864)

The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 was signed into law in December 2007 by GOP President George W. Bush, phasing out the use of traditional, incandescent light bulbs in favor of CFLs beginning in 2012 and culminating in a ban on incandescent bulbs in 2014 (Read more: Congress still protecting you – from lightbulbs! http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=75613#ixzz1QTtKFXgT).  Bachmann’s opposition was based on her decision that “The light bulb ban exposes the Democrat mindset. They want to limit consumer choice and tell American families what products they can and can’t buy.”

Bachmann, as is her custom, ignores the facts: CFLs last for 8 to 10 times longer than incandescent light bulbs, use approximately 75% less energy, and produce 90% les heat while delivering more light per watt. Furthermore, a 20 Watt CFL (replacing a 75 Watt incandescent bulb) saves $66 dollars over the life of the bulb (based on $.12 KWH). Replace one 100 Watt incandescent bulb with a 25 Watt CFL and the consumer saves $74 dollars over the life of the bulb.  With a change to CFL the USA will save more than $37 billion annually, protect the ozone level and the earth (http://www.greenfeet.net/newsletter/compactfluorescent.shtml).

Prayer: Bachman Counseling Clinic logo on website

Bachmann’s corporate financial supporters include Koch Industries, Univision Communications Inc., TRT Holdings Inc., of Irving, Texas, Texas home builder Bob Perry, who gave $7 million last year, donated $500,000 (Perry was a top donor in 2004 to Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, which questioned Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry’s war record), Crossroads founded by Karl Rove, while claiming that she and her family do not need federal funding.  However, public records show that the counseling clinic run by her husband has received nearly $30,000 from the state of Minnesota in the last five years, money that in part came from the federal government. A family farm in Wisconsin, in which the congresswoman is a partner, received nearly $260,000 in federal farm subsidies—all the time while being a fierce critic of earmarks — calling them “part of the root problem with Washington’s spending addiction”.  The congresswoman nonetheless argued recently that transportation projects should not be considered congressional pork (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-bachmann-20110626,0,1896024.story).

Bachmann using taxpayer dollars to prepare private video

Michele Bachmann regularly has misused taxpayer money for personal pursuits and pet projects. According to House expense reports, Bachmann and three conservative GOP colleagues — Reps. Tom Price (GA), Steve King (IA, among the most corrupt Congressmen) and Todd Akin (MO) — each paid $3,407.50 that day, a total of $13,630, to a sound and stage company called National Events, apparently for the sound system used at the rally. The money came from the Members’ taxpayer-funded office accounts, despite House rules prohibiting the use of these funds for political activities. Bachmann’s office insists the expense was a proper use of official funds (http://www.care2.com/causes/did-bachmann-misuse-taxpayer-dollars.html).

Bachmann using tax money to speak to Tea Party

Bachmann has an extensive history of blurring the line between office expenses and campaign expenses.  She regularly uses tax dollars when hiring consultants and speech writers, and asking for reimbursements for numerous television appearances meant more to raise her name recognition and campaign funds than anything else. Bachmann’s defense of the taxpayer must only extend to when she’s not championing her own causes, while at the same time declaring that the USA Tax Code is a “Weapon of Mass Destruction” as long as it does not benefit Bachmann herself (http://www.rollcall.com/issues/56_141/bachmann-plays-with-house-money-206599-1.html?pos=hftxt).

Bachmann is adamantly against any science that does not agree with her interpretations of the Bible.  She rejects evolution and demands that all (public and private) teach creationism (Intelligent Design) in their science curriculum (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/17/bachmann-schools-should-teach-intelligent-design/) and “point out errors in the theory of evolution”, while ridiculing the greatest names in the scientific community (http://www.examiner.com/humanist-in-national/bachmann-doubts-evolution-wants-intelligent-design-schools).  Bachmann’s outlandish statements in defense of creationism/Intelligent Design has not been greeted with enthusiasm by most students and none within the scientific community—especially opposed by high school student from Baton Rouge, Louisiana student, Zack Kopplin.  Kopplin worked feverishly to undo the damage Bachmann put on science.  His repeal effort were endorsed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (http://www.repealcreationism.com/446/the-clergy-letter-project-endorses-sb-70/), the largest general science organization in the world with over 10 million members; the National Association of Biology Teachers (http://www.repealcreationism.com/446/the-clergy-letter-project-endorses-sb-70/), the country’s main organization for biological educators; The Clergy Letter Project (http://www.repealcreationism.com/446/the-clergy-letter-project-endorses-sb-70/), an organization of more than 14,000 clergy and scientists recognizing that religion and science need not be in conflict; as well as a host of other scientific groups including the American Institute for Biological Sciences (http://lasciencecoalition.org/docs/AIBS_LSEA_Letter_42711.pdf), The American Society for Cell Biology (http://lasciencecoalition.org/docs/ASCB_letter_repeal_creationism_law.pdf), the Society for the Study of Evolution (https://www.vertpaleo.info/LAScienceEduAct.htm), The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology (https://www.vertpaleo.info/LAScienceEduAct.htm) and The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (http://lasciencecoalition.org/docs/ASBMB_Repeal_Letter.pdf). Additionally, the New Orleans City Council voted unanimously to support the repeal, along with 65,000 other supporters (http://www.change.org/petitions/tell-louisiana-to-teach-real-science-in-public-schools-not-creationism-and-climate-change-denial?utm_source=action_alert&utm_medium=email&alert_id=VTexFHIDkU_ZVMjFnoLox).  In April 2011, 17-year-old Kopplin collected the endorsement of 43 individuals who won a Nobel Prize in science.

Zachary Kopplin exposes fraud of creationism and Bachmann

Facing-off Bachmann’s pseudo-science, Kopplin Zack wrote:  “Congresswoman Bachmann, I see your ‘hundreds’ of scientists, and raise you millions of scientists.”  In his letter, he continued: “For the next hand, I raise you 43 Nobel Laureate scientists. That’s right: 43 Nobel Laureate scientists have endorsed our effort to repeal Louisiana’s creationism law. … Congresswoman Bachmann, you claim that Nobel Laureates support creationism. Show me your hand. If you want to be taken seriously by voters while you run for President, back up your claims with facts. Can you match 43 Nobel Laureates, or do you fold?” The full letter is at http://www.repealcreationism.com/508/17-year-old-to-michelle-bachmann-show-me-your-nobel-laureate-scientists/.  Shrinking back, Bachmann has shown herself too spineless to reply to the challenge.

In an interview with Politico, a Republican Governor Pawlenty aide bluntly declared Bachmann to be: “… a real pain in the ass” (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0611/56080_Page2.html).  Former state senator Dean Johnson, who was the Republican minority leader during Bachmann’s stint in St. Paul, has said, “I don’t think I ever served with anybody who I mistrusted more, from either side of the aisle” (http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics/2011/05/michele-bachmanns-school-banned-aladdin/37486/).

Bachmann has consistently attempted to push the evangelical Christian religion in public schools (http://www.bloomberg.com/news/print/2011-05-09/bachmann-rocks-ruling-class-with-amens-from-tea-party-presidential-talk.html).   This was seen pungently in Bachmann’s attempt to get creationism introduced into the science classes in Minnesota in 2005.  A Stillwater Lutheran state representative, Bachmann sidestepped her earlier proposals by claiming, “I have no problem with the teaching of various theories … of origins of life… But I think there[‘]s one … philosophy … that says only one could be taught and that one would be evolution.  And [sic] because the scientific community has found that there are flaws [sic] in by that dogma, I think it[‘]s important to teach that controversy.  … In some ways, to believe in evolution is almost like a following; a cult following if you don[‘]t believe in evolution, you[‘]re considered completely backward. …[Because] eminent, reasonable minds” [in the scientific community disagree with the theory of evolution [sic], “I would expect that teachers would disagree, and students would disagree, and the public would [disagree], certainly.”  On this Bachmann was challenged by seventh-grade life

Rebecca Otto debated Michele Bachmann (now is MN State Auditor)

and environmental science teacher Rebecca Otto (she later became State Auditor), who offered, that creation studies “has to happen at home. … Because systems like creationism can be also taught in a religion class in schools if they offer one in church, and at home, just as science is taught in a science class.” Otto cautioned against “confusing” creationism with evolution as it “is just an example of not understanding how science works…. it erodes the ability of our students to attain the intellectual tools they need to compete with the rest of the world.  Scientists, too, come from all religious walks of life.”  Bachmann said nothing, and refused to debate Otto’s later observation (http://www.stillwatergazette.com/articles/2003/10/02/export160.txt).  Instead, Bachman opined, “[other] scientific authors [have begun to] “question the dogma surrounding evolution; because evolution has never been proven.”

Michael Behe at Lehigh University 2011

At that point she cited as one example, Michael Beehy [actually: Behe], author of Darwin’s Black Box, whom she claimed was “not a religious-oriented person in any way. He[‘s] a scientist.”  {Behe is a biochemist who is a strongly religious Roman Catholic professor at Lehigh University where his have been met not only with scorn, but where the university published an official statement opposing his fiews and intelligent design, read: http://www.lehigh.edu/~inbios/news/evolution.htm} and a senior fellow of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture, and leading proponent of

Religion plays a deciding role in Bachmann's politics, and evangelical churches dare the IRS to cancel their tax-exempt status

Intelligent Design, with his writings leading to the celebrated court case  Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District that resulted in a ruling that intelligent design was religious in nature. To this Otto acknowledged that evolution remains a theory but said, “it’s important to understand just what a scientific theory is:  an explanation that is developed to explain all known scientifically verifiable evidence … [that] is subject to the most harshly demanding tests we can devise, and it must hold up. … it is fails a significant enough tests [it is] discarded.”  Bachmann, furthermore, has a tendency to stretch the truth, or simply sidestep it altogether.  Her pat answer is that she leaves “all things in the hands of God.”  Her supporters applaud her “standing up for God”, but do not fully accept Behe since he is Roman Catholic (for the moment).  At the end of the School Board meeting, Bachmann did say one thing that is undeniable: ” I see myself as being very limited and very flawed, and lacking in knowledge, and wisdom and understanding. “So, I just take the Bible for what it is, I guess, and recognize that I am not a scientist, not trained to be a scientist. … Im not a deep thinker on all of this.”

Bill Adair, editor of PolitiFact (“We have checked her 13 times, and seven of her claims to be false and six have been found to be ridiculously false,” PolitiFact editor Bill Adair said; cf. http://www.politifact.com/ June 25, 2011), recently told Minnesota Public Radio that he has never researched a Bachmann quote and found it to be true (the only major politician for which that’s the case; http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2011/01/21/michele-bachmann-iowa-misstatements/).

Bachmann supporter 2011

Bachmann believes neither in human rights nor civil rights. In 2005, Republican Michele Bachmann — an extremely anti-gay politician made her name in state politics by opposing same-sex marriage and trying to pass a constitutional amendment in Minnesota banning marriage equality.  She called the police when two lesbians ried to talk to her in a women’s restroom as she was washing her hands. Then-State Senator Bachmann told police she was “absolutely terrified and has never been that terrorized before as she had no idea what those two women were going to do to her.”

According to one report, Bachmann technically accused the two lesbians of kidnapping (charges that were both slanderous and libelous), and, again, according to another report, Bachmann technically may have falsely reported a crime(http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/bachmann-called-cops-when-terrorized-by-lesbians-trying-to-talk-to-her/politics/2011/06/15/22234) ; unfortunately the authorities in Minnesota never followed up on the allegation, as many were and are supporters of the hate-filled representative.  What is public record is this commentary by Michelle Goldberg at The Daily Beast (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/06/14/michele-bachmanns-unrivaled-extremism-gay-rights-to-religion.html?cid=hp:mainpromo2):  “In April, 2005, a few dozen people showed up at the town hall for the April 9 event, and Bachmann greeted them warmly, but when, during the question and answer session, the topic turned to same-sex marriage, Bachmann ended the meeting 20 minutes early and rushed to the bathroom. Hoping to speak to her, [Pamela] Arnold and another middle-aged woman, a former nun, followed her. As Bachmann washed her hands and Arnold looked on, the ex-nun tried to talk to her about theology. Suddenly, after less than a minute, Bachmann let out a shriek. “Help!” she screamed. “Help! I’m being held against my will!”

Bachmann did not offer the petitioners any reason for her abrupt exit nor for her uncharitable actions until later when she, like most radical right fundamentalists expose their own ignorance of their Bible, by claiming that homosexuality is condemned in her Bible.  No where does the Bible condemn homosexuality.

Richard von Krafft-Ebing

The word “homosexual does not appear anywhere in the Bible, as it does not even appear in the lexicon of English until the late nineteenth century (in 1892), and then as an invented word C.G. Chaddock’s translation of R[ichard] Krafft-Ebing’s Psychopathia sexualis : mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der conträren Sexualempfindung: eine klinisch-forensische Studie, 2. verm. und verb. Aufl. Stuttgart: Ferdinand Enke, 1887 (Psychopathia sexualis : with especial reference to contrary sexual instinct : a medico-legal study / by R[ichard]. von Krafft-Ebing ; authorized translation of the seventh enl. and rev. German ed. by Charles Gilbert Chaddock. Philadelphia: F.A. Davis, 1893; the seventh edition was copyrighted in 1892, and was published both in London and Philadelphia by F.A. Davis).  Those who cite the story of Lot in Sodom (Genesis 19) ignore that the story is about a drunken father having incest with his two daughters (Genesis  19:33-37:   וַתַּשְׁקֶיןָ אֶת־אֲבִיהֶן יַיִן בַּלַּיְלָה הוּא וַתָּבֹא הַבְּכִירָה וַתִּשְׁכַּב אֶת־אָבִיהָ וְלֹא־יָדַע בְּשִׁכְבָהּ וּבְקוּמָהּ׃  וַיְהִי מִמָּחֳרָת וַתֹּאמֶר הַבְּכִירָה אֶל־הַצְּעִירָה הֵן־שָׁכַבְתִּי אֶמֶשׁ אֶת־אָבִי נַשְׁקֶנּוּ יַיִן גַּם־הַלַּיְלָה וּבֹאִי שִׁכְבִי עִמֹּו וּנְחַיֶּה מֵאָבִינוּ זָרַע׃  וַתַּשְׁקֶיןָ גַּם בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא אֶת־אֲבִיהֶן יָיִן וַתָּקָם הַצְּעִירָה וַתִּשְׁכַּב עִמֹּו וְלֹא־יָדַע בְּשִׁכְבָהּ וּבְקֻמָהּ׃  וַתַּהֲרֶיןָ שְׁתֵּי בְנֹות־לֹוט מֵאֲבִיהֶן׃  וַתֵּלֶד הַבְּכִירָה בֵּן וַתִּקְרָא שְׁמֹו מֹואָב הוּא אֲבִי־מֹואָב עַד־הַיֹּום׃ ).  Ezekiel 16:49 states clearly that the “sin of Sodom” was “pride…” and an unwillingness to help the poor: הִנֵּה־זֶה הָיָה עֲוֹן סְדֹם אֲחֹותֵךְ גָּאֹון שִׂבְעַת־לֶחֶם וְשַׁלְוַת הַשְׁקֵט הָיָה לָהּ וְלִבְנֹותֶיהָ וְיַד־עָנִי וְאֶבְיֹון לֹא הֶחֱזִיקָה׃.

Havelock Ellis

The word “homosexual” does not appear in French until 1907, and which ” H. Havelock Ellis, in “Studies in Psychology,” (1897) declared that the word ‘Homosexual’ is a barbarously hybrid word, and I claim no responsibility for it” ([Henry] Havelock Ellis, Studies in the psychology of sex, by Havelock Ellis.  New York: Random House, c1936  (4 vols), New York, Random house [1940], (2 vols) reflecting his Handbuch der sexualwissenschaften, mit besonderer berücksichtigung der kulturgeschichtlichen beziehungen, unter mitwirkung von … Leipzig, F.C.W. Vogel, 1912 (1029 pp, 2 cols).  “Homosexuality” was commonly known as “sexual inversion” (I am quoting from my personal copy: Sexual inversion, by Havelock Ellis. Philadelphia, F.A.Davis Co. [c1901] and compared with the 3d. ed., rev. and enl. Philadelphia, F. A. Davis company, 1915.  It was generated from Sexual inversion: a critical edition by Havelock Ellis and John Addington Symonds (1897); edited by Ivan Crozier. Houndmills, Basingstoke, Hamphire ; New York : Palgrave Macmillan, 2008 (the original work, which I am using and is in my personal library was published London: Wilson and Macmillan, 16, John Street, Bedford Row, W.C., 1897), with bibliography pp. 329-344 (for an understanding of this work, consult the table of contents, which is at http://www.loc.gov/catdir/enhancements/fy0829/2008013617-t.html; I do not know if the book itself is online.  The issue of whether or not homosexuality is normal [occurs among all species] and natural [happens casually] is the topic of http://www.news-medical.net/news/2006/10/23/20718.aspx).

US Senator Prescott Bush (R-CT) and Adolf Hitler

Ellis was a eugenicist (see [Henry] Havelock Ellis, Eugenics made plain. Girard, Kansas: Haldeman-Julius Co., [1921?]), and it was eugenics, especially that pushed by US Senator Prescott Bush (R-CT), father of George H.W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush, who contributed heavily to the Nazi government of Adolf Hitler and praised the German Lutherans as being ready to root out the evil of Jewry [Jews].  The Bush family believed strongly in eugenics and urged all governments to initiate a forced sterilization program to stop the production of “deficients” (http://www.iahf.com/20040703.html)–as would become the hallmark of the Alberto Fujimori dictatorship in Perú when he sent his goon-squad of Colinas into the mountains to “fix” the poor without their consent and usually under pretext of dental work, following the pattern of Adolf Hitler. Prescott Bush’s funding of eugenics research and sterilization practices (http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article3255.htm) gave foundation to Hitler’s racial purity crusade (http://watch.pair.com/reich.html) that Bachmann has adopted (cp. [Henry] Havelock Ellis, Rassenhygiene und Volksgesundheit. Würzburg : C. Kabitzsch, 1912) she exposed her own biblical illiteracy in an effort to blanket her own hysteria.  Her inanity indicates her own psychopathic fear of latent lesbian tendency.

The Minnesota Independent notes: “Arnold, who is just over 5 feet tall, was stunned, and hurried to open the door. Bachmann bolted out and fled, crying, to an SUV outside. Only after she fled what she thought were the forces of darkness, an aberration that most people would have shrugged off, did Bachmann call the police, intoning, according to the police report (http://minnesotaindependent.com/13678/michele-bachmanns-hardball-blowup-minnesotans-knew-it-was-only-a-matter-of-time), that she was “absolutely terrified and has never been that terrorized before as she had no idea what those two women were going to do to her.” Bachmann’s repetitive use of the word “terror” is a mark of more than mere homophobia but an estrangement from reality and xenophobia (ξένοςφόβος).  It is representative of a mental disorder that puts anyone who has it (such as Adolf Hitler and

On the Jews and Their Lies (1543) Martin Luther

Martin Luther who displayed it regularly in their attacks on the Jews; cp. Martin Luther’s Von den Jüden und jren Lügen, 1543, in which he called the Jews “base, whoring people, that is, no people of God, and their boast of lineage, circumcision, and law must be accounted as filth” who are “full of the devil’s feces … which they wallow in like swine,” and their synagogues an “incorrigible whore and an evil slut”. Cf. Luther Werk (hereafter cited as LW). Erlangen 1854, 32:282, 298, etc. Ref. Michael, Robert. Holy Hatred: Christianity, Antisemitism, and the Holocaust. New York: Palgrave Macmillan, 2006; see chapter 4 “The Germanies [sic] from Luther to Hitler,” pp. 105-151; it was used by the Nazis at Nuremberg in their defense: see Nuremberg Trial Proceedings, Vol. 12, p. 318, Avalon Project, Yale Law School, April 19, 1946 which is online at http://avalon.law.yale.edu/imt/04-29-46.asp) in a position that endangers those whom the individual fears.

Bachmann’s xenophobia, identical to that of Martin Luther and his spiritual son Adolf Hitler, can elicit or facilitate hostile and violent reactions, such as mass expulsion of immigrants, or in the worst case, genocide [see: The American Psychiatric Association‘s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th edition (“DSM-IV”) prepared by Michael B. First, Laurie E. McQueen, Harold Alan Pincus; Washington, D.C.: American Psychiatric Association, c1996.].  The Washington County attorney, however, declined to press charges, writing in a memo, “It seems clear from the statements given by both women that they simply wanted to discuss certain issues further with Ms. Bachmann.”

What the case shows is that Michele Bachmann is mentally unbalanced and a danger to herself and to others.  In most cases, the one who suffers this psychosis not only are in a perpetual state of denial of their mental illness but the individual tends to be externally extroversively evangelical and rabidly religious as was Martin Luther in the sixteenth century.  Bachmann and her mentors are Lutherans, using, as did Adolf Hitler, religion as a cover for odious opportunism as well as ultimate aggression against imaginary foes.

Downtown Waterloo, Iowa (where I grew up)

Bachmann’s claims that her earliest Lutheran training was at First Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa, has stuck to her mind like any plague will erupt in sores on the body (http://okhenderson.com/2011/06/26/bachmann-people/).  The problem with Bachmann’s claim is that First Lutheran Church of Waterloo, Iowa, located at 118 High St, Waterloo, IA is a “private company” that was not established nor incorporated until 1995 (http://www.manta.com/c/mmdwspt/first-lutheran-church).  The church is evangelical, so Bachmann’s claim that she became an evangelical in Minnesota is proven false: http://www.zetify.com/churches/First-Lutheran-Church-Waterloo and http://www.kare11.com/rss/article/928306/391/Bachmann-reminisces-about-Waterloo-childhood-days; cf. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/la-pn-bachmann-iowa-20110626,0,6362808.story).

Helen LaFave, Michele's gay step-sister

The Minnesota Independent noted: “Lots of politicians talk about a sinister homosexual agenda. Bachmann, who has made opposition to gay rights a cornerstone of her career as a cover for her own political aspirations, seems genuinely to believe in one. Her conviction trumps even her once close relationship with her lesbian stepsister Helen LaFave and her family who were aghast at her rabid, radical, raw religiosity that ranked with the maniacal minister Martin Luther who had little to say that was kind or charitable(http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/06/14/michele-bachmanns-unrivaled-extremism-gay-rights-to-religion.html).  “What an amazing imagination,” marvels Arnold. “Her ideology is so powerful that she can construct a reality just on a moment’s notice.”

Coburn School of Law (Oral Roberts University in OK)

The Daily Beast article delves into Bachmann’s past, and finds that she studied at “Coburn Law School at Oral Roberts University, an ‘interdenominational, Bible-based, and Holy Spirit-led’ school in Oklahoma,” which was later transferred “unconditionally” to Pat Robertson’s Regents University Law School (Savage, Charlie (April 8, 2007). “Scandal puts spotlight on Christian law school”. Boston Globe. Online at  http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/04/08/scandal_puts_spotlight_on_christian_law_school/?page=full.).  The university and school were “charismatic Christian centers” where excellence in teaching was secondary to excellence in prayer. Regent’s University School of Law (its biggest donor is the Coors Beer Foundation) was worse, as like Oral Roberts University, courses entitled “Constitutional Law” were really courses about sin.   For its 20 year history, its graduates could not pass the bar exam–until George W. Bush became president and began to hire its graduates.

Monica Goodling hired by Alberto Gonzales DOJ under George W. Bush

More than 150 Regent University alumni hired to federal government positions since President Bush took office in 2001, according to a university website.  One of those graduates is Monica Goodling, the former top aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales who was at the center of the storm over the firing of US attorneys, and Goodling was one of his most trusted associates directly involved in the firings since the attorneys were not considered sufficiently Christian and frequently not Republican. Goodling’s grades are not available, yet, but 60 percent of the class of 1999 — Goodling’s class — failed the bar exam on the first attempt.  Pat Robertson’s Law School proved itself worthless.

“It used to be that high-level DOJ jobs were generally reserved for the best of the legal profession,” wrote a contributor to The New Republic website . “. . . That a recent graduate of one of the very worst (and sketchiest) law schools with virtually no relevant experience could ascend to this position is a sure sign that there is something seriously wrong at the DOJ.”

In this estranged evangelical environment, Bachmann studied for her degree in law with unqualified teachers, emphasis fore-square on Bible “truths”, and rigorous adherence to Pat Robertson’s interpretation of the End of Times (He predicted that Russia would invade Israel in 1982, projected a worldwide economic collapse in 1985 and said Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.V.) would be elected president in 1996.  In 2007 Robertson predicted a terrorist attack, possibly involving a nuclear weapon, but it did not come about. “All I can think is that somehow the people of God prayed, and God in his mercy spared us,” Robertson said in January 2008. http://www.palibandaily.com/2010/01/08/pat-robertsons-2010-predictions-wrath-wrath-more-wrath/ and http://www.abpnews.com/content/view/4690/53/; cf.  http://dailycaller.com/2011/01/04/pat-robertson-shares-his-predictions-for-2011/ in which Robertson predicts that the president in 2012 will be a man).

Jeffrey Brauch

The dean of a lower-ranked law school that benefited from the Bush administration’s hiring practices, Jeffrey Brauch of Regents University made no apologies in an interview for training students to understand what the law is today, and also to understand how legal rules should be changed to better reflect “eternal principles of justice,” from divorce laws to abortion rights.  The Bible became the cornerstone for law studies and those who excelled were fervent Christians.

Michele Bachmann began to believe that the USA was the reborn state of Israel, citing Genesis 12:3 ( וַאֲבָרֲכָה מְבָרְכֶיךָ וּמְקַלֶּלְךָ אָאֹר וְנִבְרְכוּ בְךָ כֹּל מִשְׁפְּחֹת הָאֲדָמָה׃ which does not recognize the USA: http://mondoweiss.net/2011/06/bachmann-takes-it-to-the-mat-us-and-israel-are-two-sides-of-the-same-coin.html).  This fantasy she learned at CBN/Regents University, and

John Eidsmoe (Lutheran pastor / white supremacist)

came full-circle with her involvement with John Eidsmoe. “At Coburn, Bachmann studied with John Eidsmoe, who she recently described as ‘one of the professors who had a great influence on me.’ Eidsmoe is typical of most German Lutherans both in the days of Martin Luther who believed that they were divinely chosen to create a state totally subject to god (Lutheranism) and be the advisors (lawyers) to those who were to rule; Eidsmoe, more that most Lutheran pastors today openly opts for the literal teachings of Martin Luther and reflects the influence that the leader of the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler, has had on his mind and career.  Eidsmoe is an acute and opinionatd racist with a long  history of addressing white supremacist groups in favor of racial purity and eugenics(http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/06/14/michele-bachmanns-unrivaled-extremism-gay-rights-to-religion.html).

Michele Bachmann, who claimed  the Lutheran church as her religion, adored Eidsmoe and quoted him often, serving as Eidsmoe’s research assistant on the 1987 book Christianity and the Constitution.  Christianity and the Constitution has been repudiated by all reputable scholars.  The book, like its author whose knowledge of US history is as weak as that of Bachmann, Palin, and the Tea Party, argues that the United States was founded as a Christian theocracy, and that it should become one again. ‘The church and the state have separate spheres of authority, but both derive authority from God,’ Eidsmoe wrote. ‘In that sense America, like [Old Testament] Israel, is a theocracy’.” (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/article/38745_Must_Read-_Michele_Bachmanns_Unrivaled_Extremism and cp. http://www.talk2action.org/story/2010/9/13/11834/9878)  John Eisdmoe, a strict Lutheran, is a right-wing home-schooling advocate who wants public schools to explicitly give children a Christain-centered and Christian based education, especially if the student is not Christian.  Home-schooling activist Gary Gunn, a partner with Eisdmoe, proclaims the education system can only be fixed if “every subject taught in school is designed to give glory to God” (a trailer of his video is at http://www.rightwingwatch.org/category/individuals/john-eidsmoe).

Bachmann, like Palin, puts on a charade when it comes to being “bible-based.” By holding any type of political office Sarah and Michele are literally short-changing America. If they really love America and believe the Bible to be the word of God, they would never even think of running for any political office. This is because what they believe to be the word of God says at Leviticus 27:3-7 says, “And thy estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy estimation shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary. And if it be a female, then thy estimation shall be thirty shekels. And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male twenty shekels, and for the female ten shekels. And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy estimation shall be fifteen shekels, and for the female ten shekels.” The writers of this nonsense have God putting a monetary value on human beings and valuing girls and women much less than boys and men. Even more so, as “true Christians ( וְהִקְרִיב מִזֶּבַח הַשְּׁלָמִים אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה אֶת־הַחֵלֶב הַמְכַסֶּה אֶת־הַקֶּרֶב וְאֵת כָּל־הַחֵלֶב אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַקֶּרֶב׃ וְאֵת שְׁתֵּי הַכְּלָיֹת וְאֶת־הַחֵלֶב אֲשֶׁר עֲלֵהֶן אֲשֶׁר עַל־הַכְּסָלִים וְאֶת־הַיֹּתֶרֶת עַל־הַכָּבֵד עַל־הַכְּלָיֹות יְסִירֶנָּה׃ וְהִקְטִירוּ אֹתֹו בְנֵי־אַהֲרֹן הַמִּזְבֵּחָה עַל־הָעֹלָה אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָעֵצִים אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָאֵשׁ אִשֵּׁה רֵיחַ נִיחֹחַ לַיהוָה׃ ף וְאִם־מִן־הַצֹּאן קָרְבָּנֹו לְזֶבַח שְׁלָמִים לַיהוָה זָכָר אֹו נְקֵבָה תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶנּוּ׃ אִם־כֶּשֶׂב הוּא־מַקְרִיב אֶת־קָרְבָּנֹו וְהִקְרִיב אֹתֹו לִפְנֵי יְהוָה׃)” which Bachmann and Palin ignore either in ignorance or deliberately to defy, neither would run for public office if either would have read 1 Timothy 2:11-15 which teaches, ” Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection . But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety” (γυνὴ ἐν ἡσυχίᾳ μανθανέτω ἐν πάσῃ ὑποταγῇ· διδάσκειν δὲ γυναικὶ οὐκ ἐπιτρέπω οὐδὲ αὐθεντεῖν ἀνδρός, ἀλλ’ εἶναι ἐν ἡσυχίᾳ. As Martin Luther and Adolf Hitler rules, women are only good for having babies, giving sex to their husbands when the man demands it, and keeping a clean house.  Concerning marriage, Luther wrote: “Marriage,” he says, “is an external bodily thing, like any other manipulation.” “Know that marriage is an outward material thing like any other secular business.” “The body has nothing to do with God. In this respect one can never sin against God, but only against one’s neighbor”(LW, W12, 131); “In spite of all the good I say of married life, I will not grant so much to nature as to admit that there is no sin in it . . no conjugal due is ever rendered without sin.” “The matrimonial duty is never performed without sin.” The matrimonial act is, according to Luther, “a sin differing in nothing from adultery and fornication” (LW, W8, 654). Luther further noted that there was nothing sacred in marriage: “The word and work of God is quite clear, viz. That women were made either to be wives or prostitutes” (LW, W12, 94).  Marriage was for sex, as it was for the birds and animals: “God does not take from man and woman their special fashioning, sexual organs, seed and its fruit; a Christian body must generate, multiply, and behave like those of birds and all animals; he was created by God for that, thus where God performs no miracle, man must unite with woman and woman with man.” What happens to the woman is of no consequence to Luther. “Even though they grow weary and wear themselves out with child-bearing, it does not matter; let them go on bearing children till they die, that is what they are there for”(LW, E20, 84). Luther even permitted concubinage, harlotry, and bigamy if the wife was not ready for sex at the instance of a husband: Luther’s permitting his followers “to satisfy their desires outside marriage, when they were not married, in order to give relief to natural feelings which they could not resist.” He says quite plainly: “It is not forbidden that a man should have more than one wife” (LW, E33, 327).  Luther only married to defy the Devil is once more the main explanation of this unholy marriage. “I too am married, and to a nun. I could have refrained had I not special reasons to decide me. But I did it to defy the “Devil and his host, the objectors, the princes and bishops, since they were all foolish enough to forbid the clergy to marry. And I would with willing heart create an even greater scandal, if I knew of anything else better calculated to please God and to put them in a rage.”

Luther would not tolerate a woman to rule or sit in judgment over men. Women, according to Luther, were “inferior beings” and “Scripture speaking figuratively”, wrote Luther in 1526, “calls rulers drovers, taskmasters, and scourgers. Like the drivers of donkeys, who have to belabor the donkeys incessantly with rods and whips, or they will not obey, so must the ruler do with the people; they must drive, beat, throttle, hang, burn, behead and torture, so as to make themselves feared and to keep the people in check” (LW, E15, 276).  If the laborers try to organize (unionize) or raise up against their lords, Luther declared “’Why treat the peasants so cruelly?’ I am asked,” and Luther wrote in May, 1525; “let them all be killed. In such circumstances is it not God Himself who by our hands, hangs, breaks on the wheel, blows to bits and decapitates.” When the German lords or states struck out at those trying to organize for a more just wage and better life, the lords fought back, and Martin Luther congratulated himself: “It was I, Martin Luther, who slew all the peasants in the insurrection, for I commanded them to be slaughtered. All their blood is upon my shoulders. But I cast it on our Lord God who commanded me to speak in this way” (LW, E59, 284).

Obedience included accepting even unjust wars and carnage if the ruler demanded war even on the pretext of a lie or with false information about the strength of the enemy or the cache of weapons that the enemy had: “If the authorities order war, then the people have to fight and obey, not as Christians but as members and obedient people of the secular power” (LW, W19, 629). “It is the duty of the people to follow their leaders in war; to sacrifice body and belongings.” “The general duty of obedience towards the State includes the special duty to do military service.” “The authorities can force the people—as long as they are physically fit—to give their military service.” Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and George W. Bush would have been favored by Luther and applauded by Adolf Hitler.

“Bachmann often says she has “raised” 23 foster children. That may be a bit of a stretch. According to the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Bachmann’s license, which she had for 7 1/2 years, allowed her to care for up to three children at a time. According to Kris Harvieux, a former senior social worker in the foster-care system in Bachmann’s county, some placements were almost certainly short-term. “Some of them you have for a week. Some of them you have for three years, some you have for six months,” says Harvieux, who also served as a foster parent herself. “She makes it sound like she got them at birth and raised them to adulthood, but that’s not true” (http://www.dhs.state.mn.us/main/groups/licensing/documents/pub/dhs16_146217.pdf)

Marcus Bachmann by Bremer

The Daily Beast Bachmann profile adds, “Michele Bachmann says certain things that sound crazy to the general public,” says Frank Schaeffer. “But to anybody raised in the environment of the evangelical right-wing, what she says makes perfect sense.”  Both she and her husband, by all accounts her most trusted political adviser, believe that homosexuality can be cured. Marcus Bachmann’s credentials are at best suspect.    Bachmann claims that he has a PhD in psychology–from a mail-order school (Union) most likely “taken” before 2004, as in 2004 Union received an email by the President of Union Institute and University, Roger Sublett, that stated that UI&U had been censured by the United States Department of Education. All of the doctoral students received that email stating that the degree was worthless. Marcus Bachman does not  have a doctorate in psychology; the degree, now spurious, was a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies.  Since neither Marcus nor Michele ever lived in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Union is located, the only way Marcus could have “obtained” the degree is over the internet–equal to the worthless degrees bought from University of Phoenix (“Student-recruitment Tactics at University of Phoenix Blasted by Feds Univ. of Phoenix Audit Leads to $9.8 mil Fine ,” The Arizona Republic, September 14, 2004, by Dawn Gilbertson at http://www.azcentral.com/specials/special42/articles/0914apollo14.html?&wired; and http://kroplaw.com/uop/Second.Amended.Complaint.pdf, and Gilbertson, Dawn (October 4, 2009). “University of Phoenix case may get closure” Arizona Republic. http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/2009/10/04/20091004biz-universityofphoenix1004.html). However, Marcus continues to use the discredited PhD in “Psychology” and billed the government of the USA–and received–$137,000 in Medicaid payments (which he publicly claims he abhores) for “psychological help” [prayers], as he also received more than $260,000 in farm subsidies despite his cries against government programs. Rather than practicing sound psychology, Bachmann practices “religion” [Wisconsin Synod Evangelical Lutheran that has nothing in common with solid and accredited psychological thought or training].  As the Minnesota Independent noted: “The religious point of view represented at Bachmann and Associates is very conservative, if the clinic’s affiliation with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) is any indication. Dr. Bachmann’s clinic is listed among the WELS/ELS Christian Counselors and Life Coaches, a groups of counselors “intent on serving our Lord” (http://minnesotaindependent.com/59781/bachmanns-christian-counseling-clinic-receives-state-funds).  WELS is a splinter-group within the Lutheran church in the USA and a denomination that described the Pope as the Antichrist, rejects all abortions even if the fetus is dead within the womb, rejects divorce even if the life of a spouse is in danger, and argues that masturbation is deliberate murder of unborn children.  Michele Bachmann has openly identified herself with this cult, and see any deviation from its Lutheran heritage to be satanical.

Speaking to KMSS Christian radio station about gay teenagers last year, Marcus, who wrote his master thesis on the harmful effects of day care has on children: “[T]he best interests of the public would be served if one parent did not work outside of the home unless it was absolutely essential” (http://minnesotaindependent.com/59781/bachmanns-christian-counseling-clinic-receives-state-funds).   Untrained and unlicensed to work with homosexuals, Marcus treats gay people in his self-styled counseling practice, having made the spurious claim that: “Barbarians need to be educated. They need to be disciplined, and just because someone feels this or thinks this, doesn’t mean that we’re supposed to go down that road.” (Marcus hatred, and his unusual use of his hands traditionally associated with gay males, can be seen and listened to at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jrn8y_tX3no).   This is directly out of the writings of Martin Luther who required parents and community leaders to punish anyone who deviated from the acceptable (leader decided) norms (see LW 54:234-235; cp. Patrick F. O’Hare, The Facts about Luther.  New York, Cincinnati, F. Pustet & co. [c1916], p. 28).

Michele and Marcus Bachmann

Marcus Bachmann received his Masters degree in education/counseling from Regent [Pat Robertson’s 700 Club] University located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He claims he received his Doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Union Graduate Institute (an online university that is composed of various other schools with “alternative learning philosophies” that went through bankruptcy).  The Union Institute’s Ph.D. program came under scrutiny by the Ohio Board of Regents in the late 1990s early 2000s, which scrutiny culminated in its 2002 Reauthorization Report. The report was critical of the Union Institute’s Ph.D. program, noting in particular that “… expectations for student scholarship at the doctoral level were not as rigorous as is common for doctoral work …” (OBR 2002 Reauthorization Report, page 13) The Union was put on probation.  It is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Marcus Bachmann does not have a doctorate in psychology or counseling but a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies (in 2011, the PhD is offered only in Ethical & Creative Leadership, Public Policy & Social Change, and Humanities & Culture; http://www.myunion.edu/academics/doctoral-programs.html).  The degree is suspect and rejected by reputable universities.  The doctorate in psychology is a Psy.D.; interestingly the university’s program “include issues related to poverty, violence, substance abuse, racism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression,” none that Marcus studied (http://www.myunion.edu/academics/psyd/index.html) and that the university acknowledges on their website: “The program’s development was guided by the American Psychological Association (APA) accreditation standards (Guidelines and Principles for Accreditation of Programs in Professional Psychology), but it is not APA-accredited. [Emphasis is mine.] APA accreditation policies require programs to have “sufficient students at each level of matriculation, including candidacy status during the year of its initial application.”  Marcus Bachmann (http://www.bachmanncounseling.com/), who openly claims to be his wife’s “strategist” (http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/118305399.html?page=all&prepage=1&c=y#continue that is in keeping with Martin Luther’s command that a husband must dominate a wife:

Here you should be guided by the words of St. Paul, I Corinthians 7:4–5, “The husband does not rule over his own body, but the wife does; likewise the wife does not rule over her own body, but the husband does. Do not deprive each other, except by agreement,” etc. Notice that St. Paul forbids either party to deprive the other, for by the marriage vow each submits his body to the other in conjugal duty. When one resists the other and refuses the conjugal duty she is robbing the other of the body she had bestowed upon him. This is really contrary to marriage, and dissolves the marriage. For this reason the civil government must compel the wife, or put her to death. If the government fails to act, the husband must reason that his wife has been stolen away and slain by robbers; he must seek another. We would certainly have to accept it if someone’s life were taken from him. Why then should we not also accept it if a wife steals herself away from her husband, or is stolen away by others? [The Estate of Marriage, 1522, translated by Walther I. Brandt, from LW, Vol. 45, pp. 32-34 [from Christian in Society III] that matches the pedophile and adulterer Huldrych Zwingli [Huldreich Zwinglis Samtliche Werke, vol. 7, ed. E. Egli, G. Finsler, and W. Kohler, Corpus Reformation 94, (Leipzig: M. Heinsius Nachfolger, 1911), pp. 110-13]) delivered, in 2005, an address on the “homosexual agenda” complete with distortions of fact and scientific/psychological and psychiatric evidence to the contrary (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/06/16/michele-bachmann-s-first-dude-husband-marcus-bachmann.html); his presentation ended with three individuals who claimed to have been cured of homosexuality.

Bradlee Dean uses heavy metal music to convert homosexuals to heterosexuality
Bachman is a strong supporter of rap/heavy metal musician Bradlee Dean, and impressed on the Tea Party Speaker of the House Kurt Zeller to invite Dean to open the House of Representatives with a prayer. It was a prayer many did not expect, for not only did Dean denounce Obama as being worse than Osama bin Laden, but covertly reitterated his claim that Obama was not a Christian:

Bradlee Dean praying in the Minnesota House of Representatives May 20, 2011

“[I]t’s not about the Baptists and it’s not about the Catholics alone or the Lutherans or the Wesleyans, or the Presbyterians the evangelicals or any other denomination,” he said. The only head of the denomination—i.e., of the government —“is Jesus, as every president up until 2008 has acknowledged.”  This offense was met with outrage among the representatives.  Rep. Terry Morrow was so angry that he was shaking. “Mr. Speaker, I do trust and I do hope that every member of this chamber understands the gravity and the severity of the offense that had been given to many people within this chamber and out,” he said. “It has been my understanding that part of the justification, part of the explanation for starting our sessions with a prayer was that those prayers would never exclude, never marginalize a Minnesotan on the basis of their faith, on the basis of their beliefs, on the basis of who they are, and those expectations have been crushed today” (http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2011/05/20/bradlee-deans-obama-slur-on-minnesota-house-floor-sparks-uproar.html)  Zeller ultimately issued an apology–but one that was hurriedly deleted from the internet by Bachmann supporters.

Iran hangs gay teens

While Dean next to never had a kind thing to say about Muslims, he did so in 2010, commenting that “Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America,” he said on his radio show, The Sons of Liberty . “It shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination”  (http://minnesotaindependent.com/58393/gop-linked-punk-rock-ministry-says-executing-gays-is-moral).  In one day Iran hanged 173 gay teenagers ages 13-17 for the crime of homosexuality–a hanging that Dean applauded.  It has been the same attitude that Bachmann has always taken, even speaking out against her own family and her lesbian stepsister.

Strongly influenced by Bradlee Dean (a drummer in a band called Junkyard Prophets (http://www.bradleedean.com/who), the Minnesota GOP has become

Tom Emmer with YCR;s Jake McMillan (r) at GOP convention (taken from Facebook)

a pawn in the hands of Dean and Bachmann.  Dean’s virulent anti-gay pogrom You Can Run But You Can’t Hide (YCRNYCH) was invited to set up  a booth at the Republican Party of Minnesota State Convention in late April — using space donated by the party, Dean says — where it greeted the party’s endorsed candidate for governor, Rep. Tom Emmer.  Minnesota’s potential governor, Emmer, attended the You Can Run fundraiser in late 2009, and with Bachmann has appeared at several fundraisers for the neo-Nazi group with the blessing of the Minnesota GOP chair.  Emmer, in fact, has admitted that he has been to Dean’s house and contributed $250 to  YCR adversary group.

Dean acknowledged his close ties with the Minnesota GOP, Bachmann, and former GOP Governor Pawlentysays Minnesota GOP chair Tony Sutton invited the ministry to attend.  His hatred for LGBT people and Muslims is legendary, while he calls for greater emphasis on religion in public schools.  Sutton has established a political public relations firm (Winning Strategies), basically to keep himself out of danger with the law after he came under investigation by the Minnesota Republican Party that requested in May 2011, that he explain how GOP activisit began to received e-mails from CAGE (Citizens Against Gambling Expansion), a group funded in part by American Indian casino operators opposed to gambling expansion.  Sutton was a board member of CAGE before the probe, and some say he still serves but without official recognition by the group, although he does draw “friendly offerings” for his advice.

Dean plays rap/metal music–similar to that produced for the Department of Defense to “gear up” USA troops when they entered Iraq to kill everyone in sight, with the stanza “kill, kill, kill”).  Bachmann has been instrumental in getting him to offer the opening prayer in the Minnesota House of Representatives, where he declared that Obama was not a Christian, and following by his set pattern, declared that Obama is a greater danger to the USA than was Osama bin Laden.

Dean has become quite wealthy by charging thousands of dollars to speak at public school assemblies and evangelize young people based on a “shocking and offensive anti-gay program” while advocating imprisonment and death for homosexuals in an identical

manner as Adolf Hitler demanded when the Nazis stormed Germany and those nations it conquered: “the campaign against homosexuality was escalated by the introduction of the “Law for the Protection of German Blood and German Honour.” Until 1935, the only punishable offence had been anal intercourse; under the new Paragraph 175a, ten possible “acts” were punishable, including a kiss, an embrace, even homosexual fantasies! One man, for instance, was successfully prosecuted on the grounds that he had observed a couple making love in a park and watched only the man” (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Holocaust/Homosexuals_and_the_Third_Reich.html  and http://scienceblogs.com/dispatches/2010/06/bradlee_dean_plays_pretend.php; cf. Keith Ellison (D-MN) Muslim targeted by Bradlee Dean and Michele Bachmann

Assembly as Evangelical Revival,” Journal of American Academy of Religion (2009) vol. 77, no. 1: 34, where it is noted that Dean demands that educators and teachers treat ADD and ADHD as diabolical fictions.  Disease, according to Dean, is a mark of the Devil for all things evil (such as illness, and even old age) are Satanic marks setting the sinner aside from the saved.

Dean and Bachmann emphasize the importance of setting and adhering to rules and holding children accountable for their mistakes–regardless of their age, for quoting Luther, a child is a sinful being who must be corrected as his mother corrected him; Luther believed firmly in Proverbs 22:15: אִוֶּלֶת קְשׁוּרָה בְלֶב־נָעַר שֵׁבֶט מוּסָר יַרְחִיקֶנָּה מִמֶּנּוּ׃—which Bachmann supports—in an effort to cover his own homosexual past, and has come out against Minnesota’s Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison, gay rights, and the separation of state and church, among numerous other neo-Nazi causes http://minnesotaindependent.com/tag/bradlee-dean, even telling the Minnesota legislature that it was their duty to listen to him as he spoke for god.  For a while Dean and his brand of hate was funded by Wal-Mart and other businesses.  Wal-Mart ended its support in May 2011.

From the beginning of her political career, Bachmann has attacked First Amendment rights and especially LGBT people.  No one mattered, as she was mentored to see the mote in the eye of those near her, not to find the beam in her own eye: (Matthew 7:3-5: τί δὲ βλέπεις τὸ κάρφος τὸ ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου, τὴν δὲ ἐν τῷ σῷ ὀφθαλμῷ δοκὸν οὐ κατανοεῖς; ἢ πῶς ἐρεῖς τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου· ἄφες ἔκβαλω τὸ κάρφος ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σου, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ δοκὸς ἐν τῷ ὀφθαλμῷ σοῦ; ὑποκριτά ἔκβαλε πρῶτον ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ σοῦ τὴν δοκόν, καὶ τότε διαβλέψεις ἐκβαλεῖν τὸ κάρφος ἐκ τοῦ ὀφθαλμοῦ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου.).  To this end Bachmann even attacked her own family: not just her sister Helen, but even her own children.

The preoccupation concerning and about homosexuality expressed by Dean and Bachmann strongly suggests that both individuals either are, were, or considered homosexual and homosexuality in a positive light, but then regretting their true feelings came out as opponents of homosexuals and homosexuality (Galanti, C.B. (1992), “Homosexual preoccupation in a gero-psychiatric client: a case for psychoanalytically oriented therapy,” Perspectives in Psychiatric Care (April-June 28(2):21-24 a pdf is available online at http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1744-6163.1992.tb00366.x/pdf; for paranoid psychotics, read Lester, D (1975) “The relationship between paranoid delusions and homosexuality,” in Archive of Sexual Behavior May 4(3):285-294; cp. http://www.westword.com/1996-10-03/news/slay-it-with-a-smile/3/; both Dean and Bachmann reflect border-line personality disorders: cf. Neelerman, AJ (2007) [“The relevance of sexuality in the treatment of borderline personality disorder” {in Dutch}] Tijdschrift voor Psychiatrie [Meppel : Boom] 49(4):233-240).  In 2004, Bachmann gave a speech warning that gay marriage would lead to schoolchildren being indoctrinated into homosexuality. She wanted everyone to know, though, that she doesn’t hate gay people. “Any of you who have members of your family in the lifestyle, we have a member of our family that is,” she said. “This is not funny. It’s a very sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say that this is gay.”

Regular readers of The New Civil Rights Movement know what Bachmann says very well. Here are some Michele Bachmann love quotes:

  • “It’s part of Satan I think to say that this is “gay.” It’s anything but gay.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004. EdWatch is a far-right organization that includes Phyllis Schlafly and the Eagle Forum and members of recognized hate groups; it is online.
  • “If you’re involved in the gay and lesbian lifestyle, it’s bondage. It is personal bondage, personal despair and personal enslavement.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004.
  • You have a teacher talking about his gayness. (The elementary school student) goes home then and says “Mom! What’s gayness? We had a teacher talking about this today.” The mother says “Well, that’s when a man likes other men, and they don’t like girls.” The boy’s eight. He’s thinking, “Hmm. I don’t like girls. I like boys. Maybe I’m gay.” And you think, “Oh, that’s, that’s way out there. The kid isn’t gonna [sic] think that.” Are you kidding? That happens all the time. You don’t think that this is intentional, the message that’s being given to these kids? That’s child abuse. — Senator Michele Bachmann, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004.
  • “Don’t misunderstand. I am not here bashing people who are homosexuals, who are lesbians, who are bisexual, who are transgender. We need to have profound compassion for people who are dealing with the very real issue of sexual dysfunction in their life and sexual identity disorders.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, on homosexuality as a mental disorder, speaking at EdWatch National Education Conference, November 6, 2004.
  • “It isn’t that some gay will get some rights. It’s that everyone else in our state will lose rights. For instance, parents will lose the right to protect and direct the upbringing of their children. Because our K-12 public school system, of which ninety per cent of all youth are in the public school system, they will be required to learn that homosexuality is normal, equal and perhaps you should try it. And that will occur immediately, that all schools will begin teaching homosexuality.” – Senator Michele Bachmann, on what will happen if her same-sex marriage ban amendment fails to pass in 2004, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News,” hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 6, 2004 KKMS is a Christian radio station that is funded, in part, by the KKK and far-right hate organizations. Its official website is http://www.kkms.com/ and includes “Reflect on and include Biblical principles in your life” and other fundamentalist material.
  • “This is a very serious matter, because it is our children who are the prize for this community, they are specifically targeting our children.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, on the gay community and same-sex marriage, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News”, hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 20, 2004.
  • “The sex curriculum will be essentially by taught by the local gay community.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, if her same-sex marriage ban amendment does not pass in 2004, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News”, hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 20, 2004.
  • “And what a bizarre time we’re in, Jan, when a judge will say to little children that you can’t say the pledge of allegiance, but you must learn that homosexuality is normal and you should try it.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News”, hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 6, 2004.
  • “Our children will be forced to learn that homosexuality is normal and natural and that perhaps they should try it, and that’ll be very soon in our public schools all across the state, beginning in kindergarten.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News”, hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 6, 2004.
  • “We are wide open and vulnerable and in all likelihood an activist judge will strike down our Defense of Marriage Act, our state law against gay marriage, this year. And in all likelihood, we will have gay marriage in 2004 in Minnesota, if we don’t get this amendment on the ballot for November.” — Senator Michele Bachmann, appearing as guest on radio program “Prophetic Views Behind The News”, hosted by Jan Markell, KKMS 980-AM, March 20, 2004.

Bachmann (neither Michele nor Marcus) have any theological background nor religious studies based on original sources. Michele Bachmann uses Biblical quotes, without attribution, to signal extreme Christian Dominion views, such as references to Deuteronomy 28:13: ‘The Lord will make you the head and not the tail’ ( וּנְתָנְךָ יְהוָה לְרֹאשׁ וְלֹא לְזָנָב וְהָיִיתָ רַק לְמַעְלָה וְלֹא תִהְיֶה לְמָטָּה כִּי־תִשְׁמַע אֶל־מִצְוֹת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיֹּום לִשְׁמֹר וְלַעֲשֹׂות׃). As Rachel Tabachnick has reported (http://www.talk2action.org/story/2010/9/13/11834/9878), it’s often used in theocratic circles to explain why Christians have an obligation to rule, and Bachmann has proclaimed that her god has called on her to rule the USA as a captive (to god) nation.

Bachmann’s knowledge of history, especially USA history, is as warped and twisted as that of Bradlee Dean.  In the case of Dean, Independent scholars have determined that “much of the history that [YCRBYCH] present is, in fact, either highly sanitized, inaccurate, or demonstrably false” (Ebel, loc. cit.) with Dean intertwining and incorrectly stating what is in the Declaration of Independence and in the US Constitution. During an assembly at Pequot Lakes High School in Minnesota in 2007, students were shown graphic images of purported aborted fetuses and girls were made to chant about being submissive to their husbands. Many left in tears, and numerous parents complained about the brainwashing, a charge Bachmann rejected in the name of free speech. She is not the only supporter, for she has brought to Dean the Tea Party, Gun Owners of America, the American Family Association and other recognized and labeled American hate groups (cp. http://www.minnpost.com/dailyglean/2009/11/17/13509/anti-immigrant_rally_pranked_but_organizers_say_no) who are more interested in preserving the motto “In God We Trust” than in protecting individual freedoms and safeguarding the US Constitution (see the pdf where Bachmann counter-sues to throw out a challenge to right-wing fringe groups at: http://minnesotaindependent.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/ACLJ_AmicusBrief_CapVisitorCenter.pdf in which Bachmann and co-plaintiffs claim those who are not believers have no special rights; the lawsuit was initiated by [Marion Gordon] Pat Robertson’s Regents University lawyers known as the American Center for Law and Justice for Christian and Jewish believers, but not Muslims: http://aclj.org/ see the lawsuit against Delta for aligning with Saudi Arabia at http://aclj.org/delta-airlines/delta-s-discriminatory-partner). Robertson has a penchant for transmogrifying the truth, as when he claimed he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa (the fraternity has no record of him being on their roster: Phi Beta Kappa Membership Directory, Vol 1. 2000).  Robertson also claimed he served in combat in Korea.  Former Republican Congressman Paul “Pete” McCloskey, Jr., who served with Robertson in Korea, wrote a public letter which said that Robertson was actually spared combat duty when his powerful father, a U.S. Senator, intervened on his behalf, and that Robertson spent most of his time in an office in Japan as the “liquor officer” responsible for keeping the officers’ clubs supplied with liquor. Robertson filed a $35 million libel suit against McCloskey in 1986, but dropped the case in 1988, before it came to trial and paid McCloskey’s court costs (“Evangelist sues over combat story”. The Globe and Mail. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada): p. A.16. October 23, 1986, and “Robertson’s libel suit by judge[:] ex-congressman ruled the legal victor,” Philadelphia Daily News: March 7, 1988, p. 14).

While Michele Bachmann writes, vocally trumpets, and displays here ignorance of religion and history, arguing for a National Day of Prayer and similar absurdities, the Baptists who began the quest for a wall separating state and church have come out against the concept.  Despite a recent court ruling that a law establishing a National Day of Prayer cannot be challenged in court, officials at the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty said such official religious declarations are misguided and unnecessary. “The government shouldn’t be in the business of telling the American people what, where or when to pray or even if they should pray,” said J. Brent Walker, executive director of the 75-year-old religious liberty organization (http://www.baptiststandard.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12480&Itemid=53).  In fact, The Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty filed legal papers July 6 arguing that inviting religious leaders to invoke sectarian prayers a North Carolina county’s board of commissioners meetings is unconstitutional.  The BJC filed a brief of amicus curiae urging the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to uphold Jan. 28 ruling by a U.S. district judge (http://www.au.org/media/press-releases/archives/2010/01/joyner-v-forsyth-co-opinion.pdf) that prayers used to open or solemnize meetings of the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment (http://www.baptiststandard.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11370&Itemid=53).

The BJC came out against cultural warriors, like Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee (a Baptist minister) who contend that the United States is a “Christian nation”.  Mercer University President Bill Underwood warned supporters of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty June 25, 2010, that such claims gravely endanger freedoms sacred to both Christianity and the nation (http://www.baptiststandard.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=11307&Itemid=53).  Underwood’s warning came during the BJC’s annual Religious Liberty Council luncheon at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly meeting in Charlotte, N.C. The group — the BJC’s individual-donor wing — also elected new officers and honored legendary African-American Baptist pastor Gardner Taylor.

Bachmann’s knowledge of history is not even marginal—it is substandard to abysmal and yet she has been allowed to indoctrinate her children.  For example: as a Research assistant for the book Christianity and the Constitution: the Faith of our Founding Fathers by John Eidsmoe (Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House, c1987), Bachmann argued that the United States was founded as a Christian theocracy, and that it should become one again.   “The church and the state have separate spheres of authority, but both derive authority from God,” Eidsmoe wrote. “In that sense America, like [Old Testament] Israel, is a theocracy.”  The Jewish community in the USA disagrees with this assumption, noting that Israel has little in common with a theocracy and does not have a spokesperson such as Eidsmoe (http://www.jewishchronicle.org/article.php?article_id=3059).

History rebukes Bachmann multifold, as no leader in the USA argued for the union of church and state, nor argued that it received its authority from God and none claimed the USA to be a Christian nation.  For example:

George Washington (First President of the United States of America) declared: “Every man, conducting himself as a good citizen, and being accountable to God alone for his religious opinions, ought to be protected in worshiping the Deity according to the dictates of his own conscience.”May 1789

Benjamin Franklin (Statesman, Inventor, Author) detailed in the eighteenth century: “When religion is good, it will take care of itself. When it is not able to take care of itself, and God does not see fit to take care of it, so that it has to appeal to the civil power for support, it is evidence to my mind that its cause is a bad one.”

John Adams (Second President of the United States of America commenting on blasphemy laws): “I think such laws a great embarrassment, great obstructions to the improvement of the human mind. Books that cannot bear examination, certainly ought not to be established as divine inspiration by penal laws.” (Letter to Thomas Jefferson, Jan. 23, 1825)

Thomas Jefferson (Third President of the United States of America) wrote:
“Almighty God hath created the mind free; all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments of burdens, or by civil incapacitations, tend only to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness, and are a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, who being Lord both of body and mind, yet chose not to propagate it by coercions on either, as was in His almighty power to do” (Acts for Establishing Religious Freedom in Virginia, 1785). “I consider the government of the United States as interdicted by the Constitution from intermeddling with religious institutions, their doctrines, disciplines or exercises” (Words of Thomas Jefferson, Vol 5, pg 236).

Andrew Jackson (Seventh President of the United States of America explaining why he declined to call for official days of prayer and fasting): “I could not do otherwise without transcending the limits prescribed by the Constitution for the President and without feeling that I might in some degree disturb the security which religion nowadays enjoys in this country in its complete separation from the political concerns of the General Government.” (Letter to the Synod of the Reformed Church of North America, June 12, 1832)

James K. Polk (Eleventh President of the United States of America)  “Thank God, under our Constitution there was no connection between Church and State.” (Diary entry, Oct. 14, 1846)

Millard Fillmore (Thirteenth President of the United States of America) “I am tolerant of all creeds. Yet if any sect suffered itself to be used for political objects I would meet it by political opposition. In my view church and state should be separate, not only in form, but fact. Religion and politics should not be mingled.” (Address during 1856 presidential election)

Abraham Lincoln (Sixteenth President of the United States of America) said: “Our reliance is in the love of liberty which God has planted in us. Our defense is in the spirit which prizes liberty as the heritage of all men, in all lands everywhere. Destroy this spirit and you have planted the seeds of despotism at your own doors. Familiarize yourself with the chains of bondage, and you prepare your own limbs to wear them. Accustomed to trample on the rights of others, you have lost the genius of your own independence and become the fit subjects of the first cunning tyrant who rises among you.” Speech at Edwardsville, IL, 1858

Ulysses S. Grant (Eighteenth President of the United States of America) intoned in his address to Congress: “Declare church and state forever separate and distinct; but each free within their proper spheres” (Seventh annual message, Congress December 7, 1875). In a speech given in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1875, Grant waxed: “Leave the matter of religion to the family altar, the church, and the private school supported entirely by private contribution. Keep church and state forever separate“.  Furthermore, Grant voiced strongly:  “Encourage free schools, and resolve that not one dollar of money shall be appropriated to the support of any sectarian school. Resolve that neither the state nor nation shall support institutions of learning other than those sufficient to afford every child growing up in the land the opportunity of a good common school education, unmixed with sectarian, pagan, or atheistical dogmas. Leave the matter of religion to the family altar, the church, and the private schools, supported entirely by private contributions. Keep the church and state forever separate.” (Speech to veterans of the Army of Tennessee, Sept. 30, 1875.)

James A. Garfield (Twentieth President of the United States of America) wrote: “Next in importance to freedom and justice is popular education, without which neither justice nor freedom can be permanently maintained. Its interests are intrusted [sic] to the States and the voluntary action of the people. Whatever help the nation can justly afford should be generously given to aid the States in supporting common schools; but it would be unjust to our people and dangerous to our institutions to apply any portion of the revenues of the nation or of the States to the support of sectarian schools. The separation of Church and State in everything relating to taxation should be absolute.” Letter of Acceptance of Nomination for the Presidency July 12, 1880

Theodore Roosevelt (Twenty-sixth President of the United States of America) pronounced in New York, on October 12, 1915: “I hold that in this country there must be complete severance of Church and State; that public moneys shall not be used for the purpose of advancing any particular creed; and therefore that the public schools shall be non-sectarian and no public moneys appropriated for sectarian schools.”

John F. Kennedy (Thirty-fifth President of the United States of America) in an address to the Greater Houston [Texas] Ministerial Association on September 12, 1960, opined: “I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute–where no Catholic prelate would tell the President (should he be Catholic) how to act, and no Protestant minister would tell his parishioners for whom to vote–where no church or church school is granted any public funds or political preference–and where no man is denied public office merely because his religion differs from the President who might appoint him or the people who might elect him.”  One-time US Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) and 2011 presidential contender for the Tea Party/GOP nomination told about 50 members of the group Catholic Citizenship that he was “frankly appalled” that America’s first Catholic president, John F. Kennedy, once said “I believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute.” “That was a radical statement,” Santorum said, and did “great damage.” (http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2011/03/santorum_possib.html)   Furthermore, Santorum who has little knowledge of US history proclaimed that “Jefferson was spinning in his grave” (http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2011/03/santorum_possib.html) not knowing that it was Jefferson who wrote the phrase “separation of church and state”, which led to the Establishment Clause in the US Constitution (Amendment 1 at http://www.usconstitution.net/xconst_Am1.html), when addressing the Danbury Baptists in a letter written in 1802 (http://www.usconstitution.net/jeffwall.html; the Danbury Baptist letter requesting the clarification is at http://candst.tripod.com/tnppage/baptist.htm).

Lyndon B. Johnson (Thirty-sixth President of the United States of America) responded in an interview with the Baptist Standard: “I believe in the American tradition of separation of church and state which is expressed in the First Amendment to the Constitution. By my office – and by personal conviction – I am sworn to uphold that tradition.” (Interview with Baptist Standard, October 1964)

Jimmy Carter (Thirty-ninth President of the United States of America) the most maligned and misquoted of all presidents, wrote: “I believe in the separation of church and state and would not use my authority to violate this principle in any way.” (Letter to Jack V. Harwell, August 11, 1977)

While Bachmann attempts to prove she is educated, she has tirelessly worked at ending quality in education in the USA.  Like US Senator Joe McCarthy (R-WI) she saw the specter of communism everywhere.

In 2001, Bachmann co-wrote for the Minnesota-based Maple River Education Coalition, warning the group that President Bush’s education policies were leading the nation down the path to communism: “Government is implementing policies that will lead to poverty, not prosperity, by adopting the failed ideas of a state-planned and managed economy similar to that of the former Soviet Union.”  In 2003 State-Senator Bachmann, attempted to justify her rejection of evolution, wrote: “Where do we say that a cell became a blade of grass, which became a starfish, which became a cat, which became a donkey, which became a human being? There’s a real lack of evidence from change from actual species to a different type of species. That’s where it’s difficult to prove.” By 2009, Bachmann explained her opposition to a bill that would expand the scope of AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps’ domestic equivalent, Bachmann warned Minnesota’s KTLK that it could be the gateway to a mandatory brainwashing program: “I believe that there is a very strong chance that we will see that young people will be put into mandatory service. And the real concerns is that there are provisions for what I would call re-education camps for young people, where young people have to go and get trained in a philosophy that the government puts forward and then they have to go to work in some of these politically correct forums [rather than learn evangelical Christian fundamentalism]” (http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/04/bachmann-warns-of-re-education-camps-for-young-people.php). At approximately the same time, Bachmann betrayed the US Constitution by calling on Minnesotans to prepare for Civil War against the US federal government that was calling for a free market to create carbon exchanges: “I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people—we the people—are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States” (http://motherjones.com/politics/2011/06/michele-bachmann-greatest-hits?page=2).

The Minnesota Congresswoman argued that George Washington a “career military man”, but Washington served the British for four years (1754-1758) then spent 17 years as a full-time planter and businessman and sometime legislator before returning to the armed forces for 7 years. That means he spent 11 years of his life as active duty military, not even enough to qualify for a livable pension. Bachmann declared John Adams a “dirt poor farmer” but he owned land, rented property, worked as a lawyer, etc. Michele declared that John Quincy Adams signed the US Declaration of Independence—which would have been unique as he was eight years old at the time. Bachmann claimed that the Founding Fathers ended slavery—but all had slaves, and slavery was not ended until after the death of Abraham Lincoln, although he did sign the Proclamation of Emancipation that gave them freedom, but to enforce it the United States of America fought a bloody Civil War.  A litany of history “gaffs” (or ignorance about the USA) is overwhelming and too long to put in this single article.  What is not surprising in researching this paper is that I cannot find one truth in any of her arguments citing USA history that is correct.  In this ignorance she does match Sarah Palin and all other Tea Bag Party candidates from Rick Perry of Texas to Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania.

The issue of law is yet another quirk in the political career of Michele Bachmann.  When the Republican Congresswoman learned that her most generous campaign contributor, Frank Vennes Jr, was involved in the miltibillion-dollar Tom Petters financial fraud, she showed no compassion. A year later, the situation changed when she heard he would contribute greater amounts of money to her political future, despite the fact he was a convicted money-launderer and cocaine-and-gun trafficker.  To pardon Vennes required a presidential pardon.  In a letter to the Office of Pardon Attorney dated Dec. 10, 2007, Bachmann declared that “granting a pardon to Mr. Vennes is good for society. Mr. Vennes is truly a unique man in that he is not asking for a pardon that he may achieve personal success. By the grace of God, that has been done.”

Despite the invocation of God, Petters did little.  According to a federal search warrant affidavit used to search Vennes’ Minnetonka home on September 24, Vennes hauled in more than $28 million in commissions for his alleged role in luring five investors to pony up $1.2 billion in Petters’ alleged giant Ponzi scheme. Vennes was convicted money laundering and cocaine/gun running despite being a close personal friend and major campaign contributor of Minnesota presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty, for his role in the $3.5 billion Tom Petters Ponzi scheme.  Petters was sentenced to the U.S. Penitentiary at Leavenworth Federal Prison for 50 years, and Bachmann did not want that to happen to her wealthy friend.  Bachmann and Pawlenty—along with former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman and former Minnesota GOP Chair Ron Ebensteiner—unsuccessfully sought a presidential pardon from President George W. Bush for Vennes’ federal crimes from the 1980s, and the pardon was not granted (for a full discussion on this travesty, read: http://www.rippleinstillwater.com/2011/04/frank-vennes-jr-friend-and-fat-cat.html, Bachmann’s letter requesting the pardon is below, reprinted from the link previously given).

Bachmann's request for ponzi schemer Vennes

Today there is not one Tea Party/GOP candidate who has the slightest inkling of knowledge of USA history or its presidents, but lies openly like Bachmann, distorting and destroying the heritage of the USA. Bachmann, for example, claimed that GI’s raised the USA flag on Iwo Jima.  That was wrong; it was the USA marines and sailors who raised the colors over Mt. Suribachi (http://www.marines.com/main/index/winning_battles/history/missions/iwo_jima).

Murder in the name of Christ

There is a Jesus in the New Testament that few Christians know.  According to Luke 7:34, Jesus was “a gluttonous man and a winebibber” (εληλυθεν ο υιος του ανθρωπου εσθιων και πινων και λεγετε ιδου ανθρωπος φαγος και οινοποτης τελωνων φιλος και αμαρτωλων).  Not only did he drink wine, according to numerous critics, but was hot-tempered who “came not to bring peace but the sword” (Matthew 10:34: μη νομισητε οτι ηλθον βαλειν ειρηνην επι την γην ουκ ηλθον βαλειν ειρηνην αλλα μαχαιραν).  The private life of Jesus was equally suspect; for example, the common thought is that Jesus went into the garden to pray before he was arrested and executed; however, what is strange is that when he left the garden he was followed by a naked youth (και εις τις νεανισκος ηκολουθει αυτω περιβεβλημενος σινδονα επι γυμνου και κρατουσιν αυτον οι νεανισκοι ο δε καταλιπων την σινδονα γυμνος εφυγεν απ αυτων. Mark 14:51-52; note especially he fled naked, leaving his garment behind (NIV), or but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked (ESV), or But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked (New American Standard) which comes closest to the ancient scrolls (the International Standard Version 2008 is close: he left the linen sheet behind and ran away naked), for what the youth (maximum age of 18) wore was a sheet used in ritual orgies similar to ancient Egypt). For a discussion of this incident, see Arthur Frederick Ide, Catechism of Family Values Based on the Bible with an introduction by Decherd Turner.  Arlington, TX: Liberal Arts Press, 1993, p. 206; cp. my forthcoming book Nudity in the New Testament and the life of Jesus Christ.  It must be noted, as we find in Hippolytys, Apostolic Tradition, 21:3, 5, 11, that nudity was equated in the ancient past through the first centuries of the current with “the Holy Spirit” especially in baptisms and holy ceremonies after the days of the Babylonian captivity: B. Yebamot 47.b [see my translation of the ancient Hebrew in my Nudity and Spirituality in Ancient Israel, pp. 233-241] as it was in the early christian communities who demanded it as a testimony of one being “born again” or “reborn”.)  This follows the nightmare of John in Revelation 6:4, where Jesus’ sword will be bigger than that of any mortal (και εξηλθεν αλλος ιππος πυρρος και τω καθημενω επ αυτω εδοθη αυτω λαβειν την ειρηνην απο της γης και ινα αλληλους σφαξωσιν και εδοθη αυτω μαχαιρα μεγαλη) which has been excused as a way to “(βαλλειν) the Roman sword, to cut off a disobedient and rebellious nation” (http://clarke.biblecommenter.com/matthew/10.htm). Jesus’ violent behavior has been excused by many as “holy wrath,” as when he overturned tables of money changers in the Temple (Matthew 21:12: και εισηλθεν ιησους εις το ιερον και εξεβαλεν παντας τους πωλουντας και αγοραζοντας εν τω ιερω και τας τραπεζας των κολλυβιστων κατεστρεψεν και τας καθεδρας των πωλουντων τας περιστερας; there is an interesting twist that The Family gives to the military, justifying theft when the troops are on the march in 12:1: εν εκεινω τω καιρω επορευθη ο ιησους τοις σαββασιν δια των σποριμων οι δε μαθηται αυτου επεινασαν και ηρξαντο τιλλειν σταχυας και εσθιειν and verse 12: ποσω ουν διαφερει ανθρωπος προβατου ωστε εξεστιν τοις σαββασιν καλως ποιειν; Mark 11:15-16; Luke 19:45; John 2:14-15) even though this action matches the destruction of the sanctuary of Baal and its priesthood (2 Kings 11:18), his claim of the exclusivity of paradise (actually a garden on the planet between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers) as Judaism had not developed a theology of a heaven but termed the afterlife to be Sheol (שְׁאוֹל a “grave”, “pit” or “abyss”) believed to be under the earth (an underworld; cf. Ezekiel 33: 21, 27).

The idea of a “god of wrath” (Acts 7:11: ηλθεν δε λιμος εφ ολην την γην αιγυπτου και χανααν και θλιψις μεγαλη και ουχ ευρισκον χορτασματα οι πατερες ημων  which takes from Genesis 41:54, and Romans 1:18: αποκαλυπτεται γαρ οργη θεου απ ουρανου επι πασαν ασεβειαν και αδικιαν ανθρωπων των την αληθειαν εν αδικια κατεχοντων) and anger and vengeance has long been a main artery coursing through the body of Christianity, leading to numerous butchering of people, torture, and murder. In this Yahweh and Jesus match the wrath of the Greek god Dionysius (cf. Ovid, Metamorphoses 4.22, 422, Homer, Iliad 6.129, Hephaestion, Handbook of Metres 13. 43, Apollodorus, The Library 3.34-35 (an English translation is at http://www.theoi.com/Text/HyginusAstronomica.html), Hyginus, Astronomica 2.7 (and English translation is at http://www.theoi.com/Text/HyginusAstronomica.html), and so forth) as the gods of old would be like the novice Yahweh and Jesus: Δεῖμος καὶ Φόβος (keep mortals in terror and fear).  This is the Jesus preached by the ultraconservative C Street group known as The Family.

Christian evangelicals and the US military try to match this wrath by going to foreign nations and encouraging the slaughter of those who do not meet up to or exceed their expectations of what Jesus wants of mortals.  The Family, as an organization, matches the Brown Shirts and SS of the Third Reich, and like Hitler’s elite assassins, The Family members down to the milk-toast faced would-be demigod Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA), labor intensively to have all nations, such as Uganda, pass laws to kill all homosexuals (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/28/world/africa/28uganda.html?_r=1&ref=world; cf. http://thenewcivilrightsmovement.com/david-katos-death-a-result-of-hatred-planted-by-us-evangelicals/media/2011/01/27/17015; http://www.huffingtonpost.com/frank-schaeffer/evangelicals-implicated-w_b_814683.html). The US Air Force Academy actually indoctrinate all cadets in evangelical Christianity, claiming that Jesus wants “good warriors” and that obedience to Jesus is seen in obeying their superiors’ orders, evangelize their peers, and convert the enemy [Muslims]. In conformity to evangelical extremism of USA theological terrorists, the USA military actually produced guns with biblical citations to urge the men to slaughter as if they were Old Testament fighters (see: Joseph Rhee, Tahman Bradley and Brian Ross, “U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed with Secret ‘Jesus’ Codes”, at http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-military-weapons-inscribed-secret-jesus-bible-codes/story?id=9575794)/)

Jesus' guns with bible verses

Military concept of the Cross of Jesus

This violation of the separation of state and church is the result of two non-paid, non-faculty evangelists: Darren and Gina Lindbloom, who wrote in their October 11 newsletter seeking donations, “Praise God that we have been allowed access by the Academy into the cadet areas to minister among the cadets. We have recently been given an unused classroom to meet with cadets at any time during the day” (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/11/AR2005111101650.html).  They are a part of a fringe group determined to use all methods of brain-washing to “win souls to Christ” and establish an earthly kingdom for a Messiah that has been returning for over two thousand years.  One of their primary goals is to stomp out homosexuality where ever it appears.

Uganda evangelical Christians demand that gays be killed 2011

Uganda has become a magnet for radical American evangelical groups. Some of the best known Christian personalities have recently passed through Uganda spewing hatred in the name of a god few know. They condemn that which most have committed: from sexual indiscretions to bold-faced lying. Most of these evangelical apostles bring with them anti-homosexuality messages that not only board on, but actual call for the murder of gay men and the rape of lesbians. Those with the most vitriol include “Reverend” Rick Warren (b. 1954), the infamous “pastor” of Saddleback Church that has made him immensely wealthy, visited Uganda in 2008 and has compared homosexuality to pedophilia (http://thinkprogress.org/2009/11/30/warren-uganda/ and http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/30/rick-warren-refuses-to-co_n_373605.html also a full discussion is at http://www.metroweekly.com/poliglot/2011/02/us-diplomat-on-ugandas-bahati.html).  Missionaries from USA evangelical churches have stoked the fires of hate even among the young to the point that children march to have gays and lesbians murdered in the name of Christ (http://www.freeuganda.net/article93-Thousands-of-children-demonstrate-in-favour-of-anti-gay-bill).

Children in Uganda are taught it is God's will that people kill homosexuals

Pastor Charles Galabuzi, on of the organisers of the demonstration, said that a Christian organization called Children with a Mission liaised several churches and parents from all over the country to organize the demonstration. “We contacted the various churches about the demonstration and they cooperated by requesting children from all over the country to send their children to participate. We also asked parents to send their children to take part in the noble cause. We are happy that they sent their children,” Galabuzi said.  Repeating the message of Adolf Hitler, Galabuzi claims that as Christians they do not support homosexuality and that they have come out strongly to tell all children in Uganda to denounce homosexuality and also to report any child they find getting involved in homosexuality activities.

Jesus, for Ugandan evangelicals, is a god of hate, the son of a greater god of evil who will crush dissenters without  mercy, for the Father of Jesus is the author of torture, war, plagues, famine, hunger, and all other forms of violence.  It is the will and the order of Jesus in Uganda, that Uganda restores the death penalty for all gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people. Throughout Uganda there are images of Jesus with his hands dripping with blood from the throats that he has cut in his wrath against homosexuality.

Discussions of sex are a special amusement for Warren, especially homosexuality.  He sees homosexuality as a choice (not as genetic) and a choice to sin in open defiance of god.  It is this defiance that Warren proclaims feverishly that will bring down the wrath and carnage of an angry god who will not tolerate any person who openly, and knowingly, goes against the “natural order” of things (Rich Warren fails to note that homosexuality is especially common in all species from moose to sea gulls, and all other creatures–who, according to Warren–are incapable of thought and less than the status of a man [he ignores the “creation” of women save to claim that they must be subordinate to a man, in the same way that radical Islam marginalize women].  Rick Warren, a friend of Barak Obama, frequently speaks one way, then “clarifies” what he meant with an addendum (see: http://blog.beliefnet.com/stevenwaldman/2008/12/rick-warrens-controversial-com.html).  Warren condemns socialism, but his essays and speeches are filled with Fabian socialist quotes—all positive to suit his end goal (http://www.worldviewweekend.com/worldview-radio/episode.php?episodeid=18342). Archbishop Rowan Williams of the UK Anglican church is even more hate-filled, denying that gays and lesbians have any rights (http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/dec/11/rowan-williams-lesbian-bishop).

Scott Lively, president of Abiding Truth Ministries (classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center; see: http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-report/browse-all-issues/2010/spring/us-anti-gay-activists-under-fire-for-), is a missionary who has written several books against homosexuality, including “7 Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child [from turning homosexual”.  Lively has no academic credentials in history but is he co-author of the book The Pink Swastika, which states in the preface that “homosexuals [are] the true inventors of Nazism and the guiding force behind many Nazi atrocities” and has started “Watchmen on the Wall” to push through anti-gay legislation (for a rebuttal of the validity of the historical research claimed by Lively, see: Erik N. Jensen (January/April 2002). “The Pink Triangle and Political Consciousness: Gays, Lesbians, and the Memory of Nazi Persecution”. Journal of the History of Sexuality 11 (1/2): 319–349, pp. 322–323 and n. 19.). In each invocation for violence, Lively extols the sword that is in the hand of his Jesus, barking that Christ would not tolerate a single homosexual to live.

Caleb Lee Brundidge, a self-described former gay man who leads “healing seminars”. Brundidge, a self-described former gay man, is a sexual reorientation coach for International Healing Foundation, which purports to help people shed their unwanted same-sex attractions. Although Brundidge claims he is cured, it is common gossip in gay circles that he continues to “cruise” areas where gay men congregate. The International Healing Foundation was founded by Richard Cohen, who says he is a former homosexual who converted to heterosexuality, and claims that mothers are responsible when a son turns gay  Cohen’s therapy is unique. He claims that men who are “striving to overcome their homosexual desires” can do so by cradling other men in their arms or by screaming “Mom, Mom, why did you do this to me?”  A leading proponent of the Ugandan bill to execute homosexuals has been filmed holding up Cohen’s book, Coming Out Straight, and citing Cohen’s “work” as justification of executing gay men in the name of the love of Jesus.

Yoweri Museveni

The Fellowship, (also known as The Family; see:  Sharlet, Jeff (2009) The Family : the secret fundamentalism at the heart of American power. New York, NY : Harper Perennial, 2009, and Sharlet, Jeff (2010). C Street : the fundamentalist threat to American democracy. New York : Little, Brown & Co., 2010) is one of the USA’s most powerful and secretive fundamentalist organization’, and declares boldly that it converted Uganda’ President Yoweri Museveni to its anti-gay brand of Christianity, which is the “intellectual” impetus behind the anti-gay crackdown. The clandestine organization’s leader, Doug Coe, calls Museveni The Fellowship’s “key man” in Africa. Jeff Sharlet, author of “The Family”, writes of the African strongman’ conversion:

“So,” Doug Coe told us, “my friend said to the president, “why don’t you come and pray with me in America? I have a good group of friends‚ senators, congressmen‚ who I like to pray with, and they’d like to pray with you.” And that president came to the Cedars (a religious retreat), and he met Jesus. And his name is Yoweri Museveni…And he is a good friend of the Family.” (http://www.truthwinsout.org/pressreleases/2009/10/4397/)

The Family has the conviction that Jesus of the New Testament wants a physical empire–a world that can be dominated by men.  The passages that The Family glories in are those that show Jesus without mercy, and always with the sword in his hand to wipe out sin and corruption as The Family determines.  Unique in itself, The Family is composed not only of national leaders (US Government and state governments), but would-be/want-to-be assassins who sit in state legislatures: not just from the Deep South of the USA but are found in growing numbers in the legislatures of Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey and elsewhere.

The Family has for years specialized in housing and indoctrinating members of Congress in its Washington, DC, C Street residence in order to “take back” the world for Jesus, and claimed a deduction from the IRS as being a charitable organization given to prayer (the IRS rejected part of that deduction in 2010).  The Family also has worked actively for years to influence both American politics and foreign leaders and had done so with great success, with the greatest labor performed by adulterers and child molestors.  Senator John Ensign of Nevada, Governor of South Carolina Mark Sanford, and former Representative Chip Pickering of Mississippi were all denounced for adultery with Pickering actually engaged in this “immoral” activity within the sacred precinct of C Street and its prayer center.  George Rekers, one of the most duplicit prevaricators of truth, joined with James Dobson to form one of the most heavily endown hate groups: Family Research Council.  Rekers is familiar with The Family, and gave it yet another star to put in its heaven of holy activities.

Rev. George Rekers

Although US Senator Larry Craig and evangelist Ted Haggard had their adulteries with males, Rekers is in a class by himself. A Baptist minister and clinical psychologist with a bent for “curing” homosexuality, the married–until the Miami New Times caught the Baptist minister and crusader against homosexuality, 61-year-old Rekers, in the company of a 20-year-old male escort at Miami International Airport. The couple was returning from a 10-day trip to London and Madrid. New

Rev. Rekers and "Rent-boy" in Miami

Times, which published its exposé in early May, got an explanation from Rekers: “I had surgery, and I can’t lift luggage. That’s why I hired him.”  A photo, however, shows Rekers, rather than his companion, handling the baggage cart. The Miami New Times also reported that Rekers had recruited

Rev. Reker's Rent-boy Jo-Vanni Roman, age 20

the young man from www.Rentboy.com (“Lucien” , a.k.a Jo-Vanni Roman age twenty, who told reporters that he was “not hired to carry luggage, and did enage in sex with Rekers: http://www.towleroad.com/2010/05/rent-boy-george-alan-rekers-is-a-homosexual-who-enjoys-body-rubs-in-the-nude.html) a Web site whose graphic sexual content requires visitors to vouch for their age.  Rekers said, “[My assistant] did let me share the gospel of Jesus Christ with him, with many Scriptures in three extended conversations.”  This was hushed up by 2010 so that The Family could post a special “prayer breakfast” which was attended by all of the nation’s top evangelical leaders–with “sinners” (women) waiting outdoors.

The Iowa legislature is so corrupt and so filled with evangelicals that there are debates over who can give invocative prayers, with one Church of Christ pastors praying partisan and sectarian for matters other than the increase of faith: he paid to stop abortions, to correct lives styles, and similar rants. He is not unique but identical to the organized hate group: Army of God, and Ministry to the Unborn (Missionaries to the Unborn Iowa is located in Keokuk, Iowa).

Paul Hill advocates murdering doctors who provide abortions

(http://www.armyofgod.com/danholman.html, Paul Hill argues that it is justified in the eyes of his god to kill abortion-providers.

Hill’s opposition to abortion at any cost, for any reason (including rape and incest, potential for child abuse or infanticide)  is shared by Iowa’s Tea Party legislators. Among this unique gathering of extreme right-wing Republicans, many of whom are members of the Ku Klux Klan that openly parade in small rural areas and dying towns where their young flee the state as job opportunities become increasingly limited and education is severely cut back “due to budget constraints” and governor more intent on making his second governorship a success that will also add money to his current Iowa pension that was built lavishly with terms as a legislator and a governor, there is little hope for progress or growth in Iowa. This is acceptable to Hardin County Tea Party Legislator, an ideal candidate for The Family and its power quest, Annette Sweeney.  Sweeney

IA Legislator Annette Sweeney (R-44 District)

represents the 44th District; Home Address: 21547 Hwy S27, Alden, IA, 50006; Cell: (641) 373.4899 annette.sweeney@legis.state.ia.us
Sweeney was born September 9, 19547 and has been married to David for more than twenty years. She has two sons, both attending Iowa State University in Ames, having been 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) for years.  Organist for her church, she has been a popular solosit and has been asked to accompany at many funerals. She lists her occupations as farmer and publisher, and to her credit, has sponsored some good legislation for veterans and farmers, but in the area of human rights her record is weak at best and has a special crusade to deny women control over their own bodies especially in disallowing abortions in Iowa. Sweeney claims that no abortion is justified even in cases of rape and incest and has the scientifically disproven theory that life begins at conception (see my https://arthuride.wordpress.com/2010/10/17/fetal-pain-and-science/).  In an e-mail to me the first week of March 2011, Representative Sweeney, typed that a woman had the right of choice: to choose not to have sex and thereby not to become pregnant.)   Annette Sweeney’s message of hate and draconian decision to nefariously rule over the lives of others is loud and clear: she would be another Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church of Kansas and determine the lives of others (http://www.northern-iowan.org/congratulating-a-villain-1.2510418?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Northern_Iowan&utm_campaign=Northern_Iowan_20113101143).
Annette Sweeney has either forgotten or never was taught nor learned what a legislator is: a legislator is a person who works for the good of the commonwealth (that entity to which the individual was elected to represent).  The legislator’s task is to represent “the people”–a particular group of people (regardless if that group is the majority or if that group is the minority), and stand firm for the freedom of all people to choose their own destiny.  When I taught, in 1967, that at Estherville Junior College (now Iowa Lakes Community College) it was a “no brainer” but today theological terrorists and mental miscreants everywhere seem to think when they are the majority party that they have a mandate to rule on individual freedoms and human rights–which they do not have. When I  taught medical ethics in Lima, I found the same absurdity as Peru had gone through the dictatorship of Alberto Fujimori who had transmogrified the nation into a image of Nazi Germany, and hundreds of thousands of women and men were sterilized without their consent–and that was as wrong as the churches of Peru dictating to the Congress in Peru that no woman may have an abortion. In all cases this matches Nazi Germany–a government the people voted in, supported believing that they were free,  and watched their individual rights evaporate with the march of the storm troops, nowing echoing in Des Moines, Iowa. Ethics apply to all people, not just to a few, nor to be determined by the majority in power.  Annette Sweeney is a disgrace not only to Iowa but to the principles of freedom that at one time in Iowa were sacred–and she is making national news with some unqiue statements that defy the imagination (cf. http://news.change.org/stories/iowa-legislators-want-to-put-animal-abuse-whistleblowers-in-jail).

Most of those who are anti-gay are neo-Nazis or members of the KKK and strong evangelicals (originally KKK stood for Khristian Knights of the Klan) and were evangelical extremists in all states including in 19th and early 20th century Iowa; today their numbers are growing according to the Southern Poverty Law association, with Iowa having a number escalating faster than previously thought possible.  They turn to women who hate women and fear lesbians to run for state legislatures, and while they come out strongly for veterans rights and national defense (along with weakening gun control laws), the message of these women when it comes to abortion matches the speeches of women in the Reichstag of the Third Reich–speeches approved by Adolf Hitler.

German pedestrians read Hermann Goering's "Nine Commandments for the Workers' Struggle," which included such exhortations as this one to German women: "take hold of the frying pan, dust pan and broom and marry a man." Berlin, Germany, May 1934.

Under Hitler, choosing abortion became sabotage; a crime punishable by hard labor for the woman and a possible death penalty for the abortionist.

“If the man’s world is said to be the State . . . her world is her husband, her family, her children and her home . . . Every child that a woman brings into the world is a battle, a battle waged for the existence of her people…. It is not true … that respect depends on the overlapping of the spheres of activity of the sexes; this respect demands that neither sex should try to do that which belongs to the sphere of the other.”

—Hitler’s speech to the National Socialist Women’s Organization, September, 1934.

The rise of Hitler extinguished these few sparks of national and international awareness of the need for family planning services. Authoritarian regimes always seem to find it particularly difficult to accept the individual need for family planning, and Hitler’s Third Reich invaded the bedrooms of its citizens before it moved its troops into Sudetenland and Poland. Within months of coming to power in 1933, the Nazis forbade the display of contraceptives and all birth control clinics were closed.88 Contraception was labeled the “by-product of the asphalt civilization,” and Hitler himself described it as “violation of nature, as degradation of womanhood, motherhood and love.” Abortions were termed “acts of sabotage against Germany’s racial future,” and prosecutions of abortion providers jumped 50% between 1934 and 1938. Attempts were made to register pregnancies, and in 1943, Germany at war across the world still found time to pass legislation introducing the death penalty for abortion providers whom “continually impaired the vitality of the German people by such deeds.” The regime that produced the concentration camps also sent a French laundress to the guillotine in February 1942 for performing abortions. Nazi propaganda for big families/opposed abortion

Nazi policy encouraged racially “acceptable” couples to have as many children as possible. Because of the number of children in this Nazi party official’s family, the mother earned the “Mother’s Cross.” Germany, date uncertain.

The Fraternal White Knights of the KKK of Boone, Iowa, boasts that their affiliates (eleven in Iowa) were responsible for “bringing down” Agriprocessors in Pottsboro. While headquartered in Charles City, Iowa, their biggest groups are in Iowa cities Cedar Falls and Waterloo (http://www.northern-iowan.org/ku-klux-klan-1.2188683). They KKK has now infiltrated Hardin County to get “responsible” representatives elected to the Iowa Legislator to “protect the unborn” and to “oppose the abomination of homosexuality” and gay marriages.  The KKK and the neo-Nazis already have a voice in the Iowa Legislature and claim they control nine Republican counties in Iowa who vote pro-life and anti-gay.

Pottsboro IA FKK of the KKK 2010

Among the financial backers of these organized hate groups are the Koch Brothers of Kansas who funded the elections of Scott Brown (R-MA) and Scott Walker (R-WI) among many others through their PAC and privately, as they, too, are members of The Family.

Sen. John Ensign (R-NV)

The Family, of course, recently made headlines because one of its key members, Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) had sex with his best friend’s wife, while they were working together.  Later, when he admitted, that although he was a member of the ultra-conservative Promise Keepers (to keep the family strong) he committed adultery with a campaign aide. An attorney for Cindy Hampton and her husband, Doug, issued a statement on their behalf as Ensign phoned in his resignation as a member of the Senate GOP leadership.  An Associated Press review of federal records showed Cynthia Hampton received a promotion and a pay raise around the time of the affair at one political entity controlled by Ensign and a pay raise at a second. Her husband was an employee in Ensign’s Senate office.

US Sen. Larry Craig (R-ID)

The hypocrisy of The Family has never been questioned, for one of the tenets of The Family is that it is acceptable to lie to further the Kingdom of God and end the rule of liberals (usually considered to be Democrats). Nevada Republican once called on President Bill Clinton to resign, declaring “the truth must come out.”  In October 2007, he was sharply critical of former Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, who served in Congress for a quarter-century when he was arrested in an airport bathroom sex sting, yet was one of the most outspoken members of the US Senate condemning homosexuality. In 1993, Craig in his first term as a Republican senator from Idaho, helped to enact the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy that states that if anyone in the military even attempted a homosexual solicitation that individual would be removed from the service (http://www.slate.com/id/2173102/; ref. http://mediamatters.org/research/200708280013; cp. http://alaskareport.com/news/z46613_larry_craig.htm). Ensign stopped short of urging him to resign but suggested strongly that he should.  Ensign told reporters: “I wouldn’t put myself hopefully in that kind of position, but if I was in a position like that, that’s what I would do.  He’s going to have to answer that for himself.” In the end, Craig served out his term.  In 2009, Senator Ensign was named one of the 15 Most Corrupt Members of Congress by the watchdog organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

US Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK)

Another member, Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), used one of the Family’ Washington properties to try to broker a deal to buy off the furious husband, who has since gone public with the Ensign scandal.  There is of course the quandary of what to do when females in the Senate, such as Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) have had their share of run-ins with the law, and in the case of Ms. Hutchison, was actually tried  for physical abuse of an employee and numerous other offenses in Travis County, Texas (see: Ide, Arthur Frederick: From Stardom to Scandal: the rise & fall of Kay Bailey Hutchison. Dallas: Monument Press, 1994 ) where the Travis County Attorney prosecuted. Ms. Hutchison was let off by a compromised judge on a technicality.

Few of the members have a flawless life, and most are tainted with an Armageddon philosophy of taking over the world for a Jesus who they believe was the first capitalist, and have nothing against Senator David Vitter (R-LA) who regularly and consistently was in the habit of dubiously picking

Sen. David Vitter (R-LA)

up whores in front of the house on C Street as an expression of Jesus’ love for all sinners (Louisiana reelected the man who was the spokesman for “one-man + one-woman, although he never clarified if it was one woman for life or one woman for a few minutes). This does not include some of its better known ultra-conservatives such as Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA), among the most diabolical of all of the members of The Family, who seeks an immediate coming of Jesus in a blaze of blinding warfare and terror, or Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Mike Enzi (R-WY) and Representative Zach Wamp (R-TN). Bart Stupak is

Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI)

the best known Democrat (MI) who lives in a world of his own, oblivious to reality and the needs of all people. Stupak’s involvement with The Family has found that he has been chosen among a select few to rule over the lives and bodies of women.  He rejects the idea that women have sufficient intelligence to decide for themselves not only the destiny of their bodies but what they can do in this world.  Stupak is convinced that women were placed on this planet to serve men at the call of men, regardless of their own personal belief or interests.  Like all other members of The Family, Representative Stupak is pro-war, anti-labor, anti-gay and creationists (see more at http://www.npr.org/templates/transcript/transcript.php?storyId=120746516).

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA)

Charles (Chuck) Grassley is among the greatest hypocrites in the US Senate and a constant embarrassment to thinking Iowans. When it was revealed that AIG was rampant with corruption, and that AIG employees who had contributed heavily to his campaign chest, Grassley sparked controversy by suggesting that those AIG employees receiving large bonuses should follow the so-called ‘Japanese example’, resign immediately or commit suicide, while blaming the Obama Administration–although the bailout began under George W. Bush (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29733519/).  Grassley has consistently voted against disabled American veterans (he has the third worse voting record in the entire Congress: http://www.votesmart.org/issue_rating_detail.php?r_id=3483), and in 1993 was among 20 co-sponsors of a Senate bill mandating health insurance for all Americans. When “the Black President [Barack Obama] was sworn into office, Grassley, typically, retrenched, reloaded and fired off salvos of verbal ammunition in 2009 and 2010, thundering that the Democratic Party proposed a health reform bill featuring mandated health insurance, was a deal breaker  (http://iowaindependent.com/20702/grassleys-opposition-to-insurance-mandates-comes-under-fire and http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20100226/NEWS09/2260353/1056/Harkin-Grassley-stand-pat-on-health-reform).  With Obama in the White House, taking up The Family’s cue, Grassley blasted that Obama’s Health Care plan would “pull the plug on grandma,” (a Tea Party favorite lie) although Grassley had voted in favor of end-of-life counseling as part of the 2003 Medicare prescription drug bill (http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2009/08/13/oh-those-death-panels/)–the same “death panels” he said were in Obama’s plan (http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-5237320-503544.html).  The change was political in nature, but he had long been affiliated with The Family and received a score of 100% from the National Right to Life (http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/scorecard.xc?chamber=S&state=US&session=110&x=12&y=11), Eagle Forum (http://capwiz.com/eagleforum/scorecard.xc?chamber=S&state=US&session=1102&x=8&y=5), and Family Research Council (http://www.frcaction.org/) all now recognized as organized hate groups that want to establish a Christian form of Shari’a law in the USA.  Deep into the pockets of corporate America, a stalwart in The Family who would not denounce the death campaign in Uganda against gays and lesbians (http://www.towleroad.com/2009/12/family-member-and-us-senator-chuck-grassley-pressure-to-denounce-uganda-kill-gays-bill.html), Grassley hold the American worker in contempt, sees small farmers as standing in the way of the growth of agribusiness and a few millionaires that fund his campaigns in Iowa, and has expresses outrage at gays and lesbians (who found him showing any sense of basic human rights as marginal: giving the Iowa senator a score of 20 out of 100). According to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, the industries that have been the largest contributors to Grassley during his political career are health professionals ($1 million in contributions; Iowa is the corporate headquarters of numerous health care and other insurance groups: http://www.iid.state.ia.us/reg_industries_unit/index.asp), insurance industry ($997,674), lawyers/law firms ($625,543) and pharmaceuticals/health products ($538,680). His largest corporate donors have been Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, Amgen biotech company and Wells Fargo bank that forecloses on homes without notifying all those affected, demanding the most personal information from employees that has nothing to do with job performance or skill, and has the least transparency of USA banks.

The Americans involved said they had no intention of stoking a violent reaction. But the anti-gay bill came shortly thereafter. Some of the Ugandan politicians and preachers who wrote it had attended those sessions and said that they had discussed the legislation with the Americans. The Guardian is referring to a bill, which is still pending in the Ugandan Parliament, that would make homosexuality punishable by life in prison and, in some cases, execution. Numerous reports, including an in-depth investigation by Public Research Associates, established that the bill grew out of Ugandan legislators’ relationship with the U.S. Christian right, which has expanded outreach efforts throughout sub-Saharan Africa in recent years. (http://colorlines.com/archives/2011/01/uganda_gay_murder_us_evangelicals_must_take_responsibility.html).  Among those claiming that the Jesus of their bible demands the execution of abortion providers, homosexuals, and others they consider “against god” (in the mediaeval world, the term would have been “heretic”), Iowa is pre-eminent and a state to go from.
