Hector Avalos and the Holocaust in the Bible and today: Israel, Inquisition, Luther, Hiter and what the Bible Says

Hector Avalos (Iowa State University)

Dr. Hector Avalos (Iowa State University) has issued a call for Biblical scholarship to forsake the main apologetic strategy of the last two thousand years of Jewish and Christian biblical interpretation and stop justifying the genocidal episodes found within scripture. While I have been arguing this for years, it is time that I restate my arguments in previously published books (Battered and Bruised: All the Women of the Old Testament and Moses: the Making of Myth and Law among others).  Both the Old Testament, and the New Testament (especially Revelation) are little more than the glorification of violence from the fratricide in Genesis to the Final Battle in the Apocalypse, with the battering of the Jesus in the New Testament taken from the torture stories in the ancient world.  The Bible is nothing more and nothing less than a story of genocide and hate, from its first tale of Eve debating the Great Advocate (the snake who not only was a teacher but the symbol of wisdom but the actual owner of the Tree of Knowledge, coming from the Egyptian Nehebkau (“he who harnesses the souls”) a the two-headed serpent deity who guarded the entrance to the underworld, was associated with fertility and rebirth and  became an emblem used in gnosticism to exemplify Sophia, and worshipped throughout the Middle East from Akkadia to Babylon and beyond; John Bathurst Deane, John Bathurst (1833).  The Worship of the Serpent, London, UK: J. G. & F. Rivington) to the final whimper of the forces of Gog and Magog.  Tragically, these tales are much more than figurative, rhetorical, or formulaic discussions or tales, but are recounts of hate and violence.

Hatred is a family value.  Hatred is consciously taught by religions, governments, and families. Parents consciously and consistently chortles hatred and how to kill, maim, and enslave those who did not bow before their gods and murder to their children who, in turn teach their children in the same fashion–and their children learned the same blood-stained lesson that they would teach their children from the beginning of time to the present.

Mortals created gods and priestly classes. Priests and religious teachers penned, chiseled, and later put upon websites continuing the hate that led mankind into acting out the greatest atrocities in the name(s) of their mythological gods (cf. the websites of Billy Graham, American Family Association, America’s Ku Klux Klan, National Organization for Marriage, and other certified hate groups).

Gods were from  the earliest records through today’s publications remain mired in execrable evil: mutant monsters demanding blood sacrifices, devouring doves and consuming cattle and children in battle and incinerated in great sacrificial fires and gas.  This has been the fate of the defenseless from the days of the ancient past to the emergence of the novel fantasy of Judaism that continued from the dark days of the early community of christianos and chrestianos to the exploitation, extortion and invention of  a later Catholic [universal] Church created by Constantine I in 325 CE, after stopping persecution of the various sects who claimed to follow the Jesus of the New Testament in 323 CE.  Eusebius notes that Constantine convoked the  “σύνοδον οἰκουμενικὴν συνεκρότει” (he [the emperor] convoked an Ecumenical [actually “worldwide” but it only meant the Roman Empire excluding Britain] Counci, in Vita Constantini III.vi; it accomplished very little but led to pitched battles over the words  οὐσία (ousia) “essence”, the feminine past participle of εἶναι (to be) as in being as being of one distinct substance and ὁμοούσιος (homoousia) or being of the same substance, thereby enabling those at the Council to introduce the Egyptian concept of the Trinity that has no biblical foundation and was a part of Gnostic theology and is not found before Gnosticism in the second century CE; ref. Ignacio Ortiz de Urbina, “L’ homoousios preniceno,” Orientalia Christiana Periodica 8 (1942): 194-209; Ignacio Ortiz de Urbina, El Simbolo Niceno (Madrid: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas, 1947), 183-202. Like unscrupulous despots before him, Constantine pushed and oversaw the rewriting of Jewish, Christian and  other world religions writings when he determined to dramatize his reign with the publication of fifty Bibles for the Eastern Church in 331 CE, under the oversight of the Arian Bishop Eusebius of Caesarea (Vita Constantini, IV,36-37), as there were numerous texts that were not accepted as canon and unquestionable.  Those that were not readily accepted included Letter to the Hebrews, James, II Peter, II and III John, and Revelation (Brakke, David. “Canon Formation and Social Conflict in Fourth Century Egypt: Athanasius of Alexandria’s Thirty Ninth Festal Letter,” in Harvard Theological Review 87 (1994) pp. 395–419).

This same fetid, malodorous and mephitic, Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία ta biblia “the books”) was later incorporated into the tainted, toxic tales of Muhammad and released as a Qur’an.  Both the Bible and the Qur’an were read by medieval monks and scholars, both became the basis for laws so vile with vitriolic verses, that they were the substance for abusive laws and collective mental illnesses: damning people to Trial by Ordeal and primitive forms of truth extraction.  Their messages of hate were pushed through the legislatures of medieval Germany, Spain, the splintered nations of Italy from then to the government of the Third Reich in the twentieth century and later in the barbaric Fourth Reich (Israel) and fledgling states determined to root out evil: Uganda and Nigeria in Africa, and Tea Party controlled legislatures in the USA.  The severity of this problem became clear to many when Israel stole land from its neighbors, without warrant settled Israeli people on the lands taken by force, and passed laws against the people of Palestine, limiting movement, denying care-givers entrance, and subjecting the land and people to bombs and bullets.  It remained the primary purpose of Israeli existence until collective insanity crystallized in the legislative bodies of hate-filled lawmakers in Uganda led by Speaker of the Ninth Parliament Rebecca

Rebecca Kadaga Spearker of Uganda Parliament determined to kill all LBGT people in Uganda before Christmas 2012 in her quest to be the next president

Kadaga (read here and here and here and here) who does not her ambition to be President of the nation and to launch her own Holocaust against her own countrymen regardless of the number of lives lost.  This was common knowledge, as a “supportive gay Ugandan” wrote:

You are too smart not to be aware that Buganda’s Kabaka Mwanga was homosexualwithout any urging from colonialists. Uganda’s own president, the leader [Yoweri Kaguta Museveni] of your National

Yoweri Kaguta Museveni speaking on homosexuality

Resistance Movement party agrees, and has admitted it publicly, that homosexuality has always been part of the African and Ugandan fabric. In fact, if you re-read your anthropology, you will find that homosexuality was tolerated before the white man came to Africa with his Bible – that foremost foreign import that our detractors love to subjectively, but liberally, quote from. I gather that you have no children of your own[my emphasis] but it can’t be lost on you that all gay men and women in Uganda (500,000 and counting according to unofficial estimates) must have been begotten through heterosexual unions.

Hang on to your political ambitions. I would, however, presume to remind you that, as Speaker, you represent the entire country, including minorities – not just disgraced politicians, bigoted Parliamentarians or convicted religious prelates.

Madam Speaker:

Madam Speaker, allow me to take you back to Shakespeare and caution you against “vaulting ambition, which o’erleaps itself, and falls on the other side.” Given what you must surely know befell Macbeth and his over-ambitious wife, a little more circumspection, forethought, moderation before you speak might not come amiss.

Damocles was not aware of the danger as he enjoyed himself

Remember, too, the fable of Icarus who flew too close to the sun. Or that of Dionysius, the tyrant of Syracuse and his courtier named Damocles. You might be on a roll now, but there are all sorts of threats behind the glory you are seeking. A week is a very long time in politics but there are three more years to go to Uganda’s next presidential election – literally a lifetime.

Madam Speaker:

Whether this bill is passed or not, you still have my support in your obvious quest to become the next president of Uganda – that is if I am not jailed and/or killed before 2016 by the legislation that you are so busy tying your colors to in which case my support will be moot.

From a gay Ugandan, living in Uganda, that you seek to criminalize purely on account of who he is, but who nonetheless supports your presidential ambitions because he is totally fed up to the back teeth of this uncaring, bungling, corruption-ridden, thieving, tired, rusted, putrid dish of a government), and Nigeria, pressured by Scott Lively and other ministerial miscreants from the USA–and other political entities from the USA intent on controlling the minds and actions of their people and generations to come.

As Jews were taught to hate Muslims and Muslims were lectured to hate Jews and Christians in the name of jihad, the novel notion of crusades launched long before the pathetic Pope Urban II’s Holocaust that consumed the lives of Greek Orthodox, Jews, Arabs and even Western Roman Catholics and little children attempted to erase both groups of people, giving antecedents as instructions for such troglodytes, who creep into the dark holes of terroristic fantasies and dream of world domination as the Inquisitors, passionately and perfectly portrayed in Dostoevsky’s Brothers Karamazov, of the medieval church and their offspring spreading hate: Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox who authored one of the most antisemitic tracts, Mary and Elizabeth Tudor, the Pilgrims, Puritans, Mormons and certified hate groups from the American Family Association to Focus on the Family, and individual miscreants from Billy and Franklin Graham to Keith Ratliff of West Des Moines, Iowa, Timothy Dolan of New York City, Juan Luis Cipriani Thorne of Lima, Benedict XVI of the Vatican, American Council of Roman Catholic Bishops, rabbis of the Ultra Orthodox movement, and Moscow Patriarch Kirill, we have all been  taught to hate each other.

Those who do not confession Islam as being “subject” to the mythical god Allah are taught not only antisemitism, but also are encouraged to kill those who are not Muslims, especially as seen today in Muslims attacks and resulting genocide in Burma by it repressive military leaders who, although most are Muslim, dehumanize the population.  This Burma dehumanization program is identical to the dehumanization of Americans by Bryan Fischer, Maggie Gallagher, Ann Coulter, Michelle Bachmann and other USA theocrats– and by “Christians” throughout Australia, Germany and the UK.  It occurs in the same way the all Hindu castes teach their children to hate other castes that have led to the slaughter of complete communities and the obscenity of “honor slayings” (watch and read here, and here) when troops rape children, with mothers slaying daughters for contracting denied marriages and sons and fathers slay sisters/daughters for actions the males thought sullied their honor in Canada.

The rape of children and women and slaughter of children in front of their parents is hailed by the gods of the Old Testament who finds comfort and joy in the carnage: “Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword.  Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes.  Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes.  For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off.  The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows.  They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children  (Isaiah 13:15-18 NLT)

While the Third Reich ruling Germany has been universally damned for killing more than eight million Jews (as well as nearly 1 million homosexuals, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Romanian gypsies, White Russians, Poles, etc), the idea of Holocaust (originally a Greek word, ὁλόκαυστος, that translates “burn wholly”; in Hebrew it is השואה and translates as “catastrophe”—only in Yiddish, חורבן, does it mean “destruction”) is not new. Hitler received much of his instruction for the extermination from the German pastor and hate monger Martin Luther.

Luther had been taught to hate: first non-Christians and Christians who misused the Bible and did not follow precise teachings, as with “Animam purgatam evolare, est eam visione dei potiri, quod nulla potest intercapedine impediri. Quisquis ergo dicit, non citius posse animam volare, quam in fundo cistae denarius possit tinnire, errat. In: D. Martini Lutheri, Opera Latina: Varii Argumenti, 1865, Henricus Schmidt, ed., Heyder and Zimmer, Frankfurt am Main & Erlangen, vol. 1, p. 300”, then Jews (Von den Juden und Ihren Lügen (On the Jews and Their Lies) and argued that Christians must exterminate Jews because “Jews live in filfth” requiring Germans to “kill in secret or in light” calling for Jewish synagogues and schools to be burned to the ground, and the remnants buried out of sight; houses owned by Jews to be likewise razed, and the owners made to live in agricultural outbuildings; their religious writings to be taken away; for rabbis to be forbidden to preach, and to be executed if they do; safe-conduct on the roads to be abolished for Jews; usury to be prohibited, and for all silver and gold to be removed and “put aside for safekeeping”; and the Jewish population to be put to work as agricultural slave labor (Wallmann, Johannes. “The Reception of Luther’s Writings on the Jews from the Reformation to the End of the 19th Century”, Lutheran Quarterly, n.s. 1, Spring 1987, 1:72-97; Wallmann, Johannes. “The Reception of Luther’s Writings on the Jews from the Reformation to the End of the 19th Century”, Lutheran Quarterly, n.s. 1, Spring 1987, 1:72-97; J.G. Walch, Dr. Martin Luthers Sämmtliche Schriften, 23 vols. (St. Louis: Concordia, 1883), 12:1264-1267), and Michael, Robert. “Luther, Luther Scholars, and the Jews,” Encounter 46 (Autumn 1985) No. 4:343-344) then he defined the Jews as being the equivalent of the Devil in Vom Schem Hamphoras und vom Geschlecht Christi (Of the Unknowable Name and the Generations of Christ), by the Roman Catholic Church created by the Eastern Emperor Constantine I who led the attack on dissenters when he called his Council of Nicaea in 325 BCE, formed his “catholic [universal] church”, and burned all books and other records on religious speculation that he did not approve of.

This was common in all societies, climes, and times and was especially cruel among the early “Jews”—a group of mercenaries working for Akkadian warriors and known as Apiru/Abiru who came out of Iraq’s Fertile Crescent that became the source for the mythological Garden of Eden that was eagerly transmogrified into a home for the gods in all Middle Eastern religions, being the most likely the beginning of the famous Gardens of Babylon.  The ancient Hebrew people were certainly among the most barbaric people, and like genocidal forces everywhere, used religion to excuse and even justify their Hebrew Holocaust of ancient people as paid mercenaries serving Akkadian kings and tribal leaders in Egypt and elsewhere.

The greatest evil of religion has been in the enjoinment and the use of Holocaust (the erasure of a civilization) that began thousands of years ago but today is most graphically seen in the butchery of babies and murder of

Civilian deaths climb as Israel bombs Gaza

children in the Holocaust launched by the State of Israel against the Palestinians held captive by the Israelis in the Middle East (read here and watch and read here).  Jewish and Christian theologians, rabbis/teachers and spiritual leaders look past the most obvious examples of Holocaust, especially in the Torah and Prophets (Old Testament). In each case a god (or more exactly, a group of gods—elohim, אֱלֹהִ֔ים, is the plural; cf. Karas, Sara, in Encyclopedia of Judaism, p. 179) is called on to authorize, equip and justify carnage and Holocaust), as we find in Isaiah 21:9:”And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground”

—the very same verse used in the Gulf War by an F-16 fighter-bomber as inscribed on its bombs, ordered by the most despicable and desperately depraved USA Air Force and US Marine Corps to use against “enemies” (read here and here) violating the Constitution of the USA.  The grotesquely used

Bible verses on weapons of war

Bible verses appear on rifles, scopes, handguns, and every other form of weaponry–including bombs and grenades.  Jesus is taught at the US Air Force Academy to be a martial, militant warrior who will kill all disbelievers and that those who will be save during the Apocalyptic Rapture will be those who are armed with high-power rifles to kill non-believers as Jesus rides out of heaven carrying a sword to separate brother from sister, parents from children,

and lead the carnage that will bring about the End Times (Matthew 10:34)–a nightmare as old as ancient Egypt and one that the crazed author John of Patmos plagiarized from liberally.

Each of the multitudes of gods that pepper the Torah and tares at the Abiru/ Apiru record of cruelty and barbarity was at best a maniac demon demanding human sacrifice and slaughter; Numbers 25:3-4:  “And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, ‘Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Vecernje Novosti, KLA cut off people’s heads as trophies (November 2, 2003)

There has never been anything new in the taking of heads, or scalps as with the Christians in the colonial new world of North America, Central America, and South America, supported by their clergy with feasting, celebrations, and prayers of thanksgiving.  This is even found today among the military: from the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army an Albanian insurgent organization) to Abu Gharib prison in Iraq, among Jews and jihadist ( جهاد‎ translates as “struggle” but originally meant to “strive in the way of God to be good and pure, and had no military or war-like claim, an interpretation ignored by most Muslims and non-Muslims as interpretation is now a dead art as much as translation is becoming less precise as street language takes over) Muslims in Aghanistan and around the world.

In every case the gods of the Torah and Prophets used the most vile, vicious, vitriol-filled fends that are nearly unimaginable, vomited from the mentally insane Moses to the fanatical Gideon and blood-thirsty Prophets. In the Book of Numbers, the Great Egyptian Satan known as Moses leads in the insanity of murder and holocaust: “And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense,” with the monstrous god s showing no compassion even for infants and the unborn.

The Mephistophelean mentality of Moses was dagga induced and yet surpassed in cruelty by the dragooned military leader David (the word דָּוִד, דָּוִיד   means beloved, but stemmed from the term for  house “ביתדוד” (House of David) indicating an established rule rather than a building) who slew indiscriminately and rejoiced in the death cries of newborns, nursing mothers and babies. “And he brought out the people that [sic: who] were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes…” (1 Chronicles 20:3); in chapters 17-19 the chronicler tartly tells us that David killed 22,000 Syrians and that Abishai killed 18,000 Edomites. No one expresses shame at such slaughters. In 20:3, the darling of the demonic Jewish empire recounts how David, counted as a great leader of the Israelites, slaughtered captives after the cessation of hostilities, and his people rejoiced in the flow of human blood.

Worse than the mass murderer David, Gideon gave true meaning to mercilessness and vengeance.  In Judges 8:7, we read: “And Gideon said, Therefore when the Lord hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers”  Three verses later the carnage is more articulately detailed: “Now Zebah and Zalmunna were Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an [sic: a] hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.”  This is the Gideon Society’s hero as it places Bibles into motels and hotels across America, with blood stained passages making up more than one-half of all the Old Testament themes and tales. It is surprising that the Gideon Society does not dedicate their cheap bibles to the holocausts cried out for by Martin Luther, or enacted by Gideon’s equal: Adolf Hitler whom Joseph Ratzinger followed as a NAZI youth. This would be appropriate as Gideon compares favorably with Gideon’s slaughter of thousands in battle by plotting with the “Lord” to use treachery, deceit, lies, and extortion, as Gideon was arrogant, selfish, egotistical, vain, and as ambitious as if he were Charles or Edward Koch in contemporary America.

Akkadian empire map (source: http://research.yale.edu/leilan/akkadian)

Throughout the blood-soaked pages of the Book of Judges, we read that Gideon murdered thousands more for worshipping “false Gods”—meaning gods that were not the tribal totem of the emerging Hebrews from their warrior days as mercenaries for the Akkadians, to torturing and killing still more for daring to taunt him as the Brown Shirts (actually Sturmabteilung (SA) meaning “Storm Detachment” or “Assault Division”, “Brown Shirt” was merely a defining characteristic of what the early NAZI elite wore) in the NAZI empire are recorded as having done in their move to make Hitler equal to any YHWH, while like the SS (Schutzstaffel that translates as “Protection Squadron” that stood for maintaining what they considered the true “German Way”,  similar to the Tea Party in the USA that declared themselves to be the protectors of the “American Way) or the NAZI front, Gideon plundered the bodies of his victims (to fashion a jeweled priestly vestment) as would the NAZIs.  Gideon lived long enough to father a son who killed 69 of his stepbrothers (Joshua 7:19-26  cp. Mark 13:12).

The tale of Gideon describes just one of the many horror stories in the Bible, a book that glorifies behavior abysmal to modern society. The clergy and leaders have hoodwinked millions of people about the stories in the Bible as they are too eager to create a fantasy than take a solid look at the sordid reality that the Bible portrays, as there is not a single story that is not soaked in the fat of victims on its altars (not just rams or doves, but included young boys as with the tale of Abraham’s sacrifice of his son (in Islam it is Ishmael, in Jewish lore it is Isaac).  That it was understood to be the right of a father to kill a son is found in Genesis 42:37 and John 5:19-30.  The altar itself (in Hebrew the word is “slaughter place” and is a verb) was guarded by four protruding horns (symbol of the god bull Yeh), that required blood and fat. “For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life” (Leviticus 17:11).  “The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). Blood was always spilled on the horns and later New Testament authors would argue that Jesus was the “horns” of the new faith and his blood would be the sacrifice on the horns (Psalm 18:2, Luke 1:69) a continuation of the carnage of the past.

Rebellion of Korah

Crueler than just killing children, a common theme in the Old Testament, is the repetitive passages where the god(s) of the ancient Hebrews buried people alive out of spite, hatred, and vengeance. “And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the

congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.”  (Numbers 16:32-35).  Science would reject any such “divine intervention (or anger) as there are giant sinkholes everywhere on the planet that can open and close at any time.

Giant sinkholes under the ground on the water planet (Earth)

Moses relays a sadistic threat that asks us to believe that God punishes members of families, including innocent infants. It is the Old and New Testament god(s) that demand death and kill without reason, frequently using Satanic fire to burn his/their creation(s).

The most absurd reasons for the early Jewish Holocaust included people who do not listen to priests: “Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the LORD your God must be put to death.  Such evil must be purged from Israel”  (Deuteronomy 17:12 NLT); allowing a witch or sorcerer or sorceress to live: “You should not let a sorceress live” (Exodus 22:17 NAB); tolerating a fortune-teller: “A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortune-teller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death  (Leviticus 20:27 NAB); hitting a parent: “Whoever strikes his father or mother shall be put to death (Exodus 21:15 NAB), or cursing a parent: “If one curses his father or mother, his lamp will go out at the coming of darkness  (Proverbs 20:20 NAB) and: “All who curse their father or mother must be put to death.  They are guilty of a capital offense (Leviticus 20:9 NLT); committing adultery: “If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death (Leviticus 20:10 NLT) that is separate from having sex before marriage (fornication): “A priest’s daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death  (Leviticus 21:9 NAB), or a woman is found not to be a virgin (no hymen) on her wedding night: “But if this charge is true, and evidence[a blood stained sheet or the torn tissue of the hymen] of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her father’s house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father’s house.  Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst (Deuteronomy  22:20-21 NAB).

The most grievous sins that merit the death penalty include not being Jewish: “Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed”  (Exodus 22:19 NAB) or reject the worship of the Jewish god(s): “They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.  (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB) that is proclaimed repeatedly, for example: “If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him.  Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you.  You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery.  And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst  (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB), and Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden.  When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death.  (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT), with the proclamation that the entire town must be destroyed if only one person does not follow YHWH: “Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods.  In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully.  If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock.  Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it.  Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God.  That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt.  Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction.  Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you.  He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors.  “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him  (Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT).  What is most displeasing to the original Yah god who transmogrified into YHWH is anyone working in any manner to any degree for any reason on the Sabbath (Saturday), as even cows needed a day of rest unless they were milk cows:

Yah (the bull) the two suitor gods and Asherah (r) goddess of Canaan

The LORD then gave these further instructions to Moses: ‘Tell the people of Israel to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you forever.  It helps you to remember that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.  Yes, keep the Sabbath day, for it is holy.  Anyone who desecrates it must die; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community.  Work six days only, but the seventh day must be a day of total rest.  I repeat: Because the LORD considers it a holy day, anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death (Exodus 31:12-15 NLT).

God was against children who teased, bullied, or taunted, and against the curious: “From there Elisha went up to Bethel.  While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him.  “Go up baldhead,” they shouted, “go up baldhead!”  The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord.  Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the children to pieces. (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB).

Elisha raised a dead boy by laying on top of the boy…

“However, Elisha did save one boy–in a most unusual manner even for ancient Israel: “And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.” (2 Kings 4:34 KJV: וַיַּעַל וַיִּשְׁכַּב עַל־הַיֶּלֶד וַיָּשֶׂם פִּיו עַל־פִּיו וְעֵינָיו עַל־עֵינָיו וְכַפָּיו עַל־[כ כַּפֹּו] [ק כַּפָּיו] וַיִּגְהַר עָלָיו וַיָּחָם בְּשַׂר הַיָּלֶד).

Killing men was no problem for god or warrior: “And he smote of the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of Jehovah, he smote of the people seventy men, `and’ fifty thousand men; and the people mourned, because Jehovah had smitten the people with a great slaughter.  And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?  (1 Samuel 6:19-20 ASV).

The Holocaust of the Jewish god extended even to first-born children—regardless if the first-born had just emerged from the uterus or was 100 years old: “And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.” (Exodus 12:29-30; in some versions “cattle” is presented as “beasts” that enshrines that no animal or fish was exempt from the wrath of the god(s))  It does not exclude non-human beings, as it reads “all the first-born” and that would include all firstborn cows and bulls, ducks, geese, crocodiles, snakes, and everything else including first seeded grains in the soil.

The god(s) of Abraham were at least equal-opportunity murderer(s), for the deity/deities even killed his/her/their own “creations in the most grotesque of ways: Either three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel…(1 Chronicles 21:12) made painfully clear two verses later: So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.  This is a perfect precedence for Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot and other criminals who had no respect for human life, as seen at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq and Adam West’s military involvement.

The worst thing about this nefarious deranged god was the unbridled brittle racism, especially against Black people as Yahweh was a dedicated racist: And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with a host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots…”  “So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled”. (1 Chronicles 14:9, 12) . Like the Aryan nation, Ku Klux Klan and other certified hate groups in the USA, the god(s) of the Old Testament continued to find people to kill in increasingly more designer ways–not just by poisoning or using weapons.  The total count of Black people slaughtered was over 1 million, and this was used as a pretext to damn Black people in the writings of Origen (who wrote: Pharaoh easily reduced the Egyptian people to servitude, nor is it written that he did so by force. For the Egyptians are prone to a degenerate life and quickly sink to every slavery of the vices. Look at their origin: you will discover that their father Ham, who had laughed at his father’s nakedness, deserved a judgment of this kind, that his son Canaan should be a servant to his brothers, so that his condition of servitude would testify to the wickedness of his conduct. Not without reason, therefore, does the discolored posterity imitate the ignobility of the race. in Hom. in Genesim 16.1), Jerome (Εὐσέβιος Σωφρόνιος Ἱερώνυμος who rejected the “curse of Cain (נוּעַ meaning “fugitive” “wanderer”)”, Jerome rejected the curse since in the Great Flood only the descendants of Seth survived, in his Sermons on Number, 18.4.), and Augustine of Hippo (cf. Psalms 63:4,5; Augustine wrote that Cain gave the god [sic] of Genesis tangible goods but not his heart: De Civitate Dei, XV, vii) who declared that Ethiopians were devils because of the curse on Cain and the son of Ham (the name, in Hebrew, connotes “hot” and “dark”, and Joseph Smith Jr, the inventor of the Mormon cult and Book of Mormon uses it to define all the cursed people of Africa and their descendants who were slaves in the New World). It appears as a description of “Black magic” and worse, the link of sin to the “Prince of Darkness” (Ephesians 5:11, 6:12) who was given the name of Satanael. It is also the second to the last plague of Moses (Exodus 10:21 since everything dies without light—the ultimate Holocaust; cp. Ezekiel 12:12).

In the story of Ham and Japheth, the word “ham” has connotations of “hot” and “dark” in Semitic languages. To the ancient Israelites, as well as some modern Jews and Christians, the “children of Ham” had dark skin and lived in eastern Africa. Thus they see the “Curse of Ham” as a link with black skin and excessive sexual license.

One thing is certain: the god of the Old Testament was a sadist and cannibal: “But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his trespasses. The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.” (Psalm 68:21-23).  Far worse, what Christian Biblical scholars overlook or refuse to address is the reality that the gods of the Bible were mass murderers: “And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.” (1 Samuel 6:19)

As Muhammad would plagiarise for his Qur’an, the writers of the Old Testament declared that their gods demanded that all unbelievers were to be put to death: “And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God...” (Deuteronomy 13:5) or “seduced’ a believer to follow a false god, the penalty was the same: “If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers” (Deuteronomy 13:6) as there was to be no pity for those who did not believe what the priests and prophets taught: “Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him: But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.(Deuteronomy 13:8-9)

Benjamin Edetanlen killed infant son citing Psalm 13:24: Spare the rod and spoil the child.

sparing none: “Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.”   (Deuteronomy 13:15).  Parents were ordered to even kill their own children if they did not follow the religion of their fathers, that many evangelical extremists in this world still practice read here and here and here and here, all in the name of god).

God delights in the killing of old men, young women, and children and infants, in a manner pleasing to the cruelest of guards at Nazi prisons: You are my battle-ax and sword,” says the LORD.  “With you I will shatter nations and destroy many kingdoms.  With you I will shatter armies, destroying the horse and rider, the chariot and charioteer.  With you I will shatter men and women, old people and children, young men and maidens.  With you I will shatter shepherds and flocks, farmers and oxen, captains and rulers.  “As you watch, I will repay Babylon and the people of Babylonia for all the wrong they have done to my people in Jerusalem,” says the LORD.  “Look, O mighty mountain, destroyer of the earth!  I am your enemy,” says the LORD.  “I will raise my fist against you, to roll you down from the heights.  When I am finished, you will be nothing but a heap of rubble.  You will be desolate forever.  Even your stones will never again be used for building.  You will be completely wiped out,” says the LORD”  (Jeremiah 51:20-26)Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that [sic: who] hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.” (Numbers 31:16-18, this adds up to approximately 100,000 young males and 68,000 young women being slaughtered).  “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” (1 Samuel 15:2-3)  This was the same fun and pleasure that the kinky King David rejoiced in: “And he brought forth the people that [sic: who] were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under the axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem” (2 Samuel 12:31) David did everything that Adolf Hitler did—and with greater cruelty, especially with the act of violence (rape) that the gods of the Old Testament and their Prophets delighted in and demanded for their enemies: “Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.” (Isaiah 13:15-16)

While the gods of the Old Testament never directly call for abortion, they make certain those fetuses of the damned, the unbeliever, and those who offend the tribal deities of Elohim die (See Numbers 5:26-27, 1 Samuel 15:2-3, and Psalm 137:9).  This was just a prelude to the slaughter of those delivered from the uterus: “And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain.” (Deuteronomy 2:34) “And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Hesbon, utterly destroying the men, women, and children, of every city. But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities we took for a prey to ourselves.” (Deuteronomy 3:6-7). Based on these words, Billy Graham (the original Elmer Gantry), among the most immoral men in the history of the USA, beside him, proclaimed the Gulf War as “moral” (read here and hereand here; Graham was so quick to earn an easy dollar that after

Mitt Romney and Billy Graham for a “moral majority”

blasting Mormonism as a cult in 2005, Graham endorsed Willard Milton “Mitt” Romney for president of the USA knowing that Romney is a Mormon bishop, and promptly had his website scrubbed of adverse comments on Mormonism).  George Bush (the Second) continued in his father’s steps by killing over one million Iraqi civilians in the Iraqi war. Such moral wars result in thousands of “utterly destroyed” innocent men, women and children.; (For a few more examples [but not all] see also Deuteronomy 3:3, 7:2, 20:16-17, 25:19; Joshua 6:21. 8:26, 10:28-40; Numbers 31:17-18; 1 Samuel 15:3; Isaiah 13:16; and, Hosea 13:16) that Florida’s Adam West delights in: “And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and woman: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” (Ezekiel 9:5-6, this being an example of cold-blooded premeditated capital murder common with Hitler’s attacks on the Jews and Israel’s attacks on the Palestinians).

According to the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse) (Revelation 7:3-4, 9:3-4, 14:1, 3-4) in the great future destruction of the planet billions of people will die. Only 144,000 virgin Jews (any sexual activity eliminates a person from swelling into the ranks of those saved and given a place in heaven) with a protective mark on their heads will survive.  This followed the enactment of utter destruction that is recorded in Joshua 6:21:”And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword,” but at same time, during the same siege, “all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the Lord: they shall come into the treasury of the Lord” (Joshua 6:19) to pay for a greater battle where twelve thousand, “the whole population” of Ai, were slaughtered. (Joshua 8:25).  It was but a reenactment of what the writers of Deuteronomy 12:2-3 recorded under heavenly command: “Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree: And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place,” that caused Albert Einstein to write:

“I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own– a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty. Neither can I believe that the individual survives the death of his body, although feeble souls harbor such thoughts through fear or ridiculous egotism.”

(For other examples of utter destructions, see Numbers 21:2, Deuteronomy 3:6-7, 7:2, 13:15, 20:17; Judges 21:11, 2 Chronicles 20:23,1 Kings 20-42, Isaiah 11:15, 15:3, 15:3, 9, 18; Jeremiah 12:17, 25:9, 50:21, 26 and 51:3; Daniel 11:44; and Amos 9:8)

This same cruelty furnished the backdrop to the legend of Jesus washing the feet of his apostles (John 3:18).  Compare that tale with Psalms 58:10: “The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

“Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize humankind.”

Israel bombs hospitals and schools (2012)

As long as there is religion there is cruelty. As long as priests and Bibles exist there is war, violence, rape, and slaughter.  It continues to this day with Israel attacking Palestinians, murdering Palestinian doctors (many of whom served in Jerusalem clinics, care centers and hospitals (read here and here and here), teachers, families and visitors.  The German people knew what was happening, but preferred their personal freedom and space despite the actions of Hitler and his concentration camps they passed regularly.  The

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Adolf Hitler

people of Israel know what Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing, identical to that of Adolf Hitler, and they look away.  The German people were co-conspirators against human and civil rights as are the people of Israel today who are as guilty of genocide as the Prime Minister as were the ancient Jews who wiped out entire civilizations.  Genocide is but another term for racism unleashed and with it the unlimited capacity to kill, maim, and destroy.

Palestinian man living in Gaza carries his possessions from his Israeli bombed home with nowhere to go (November 2012)

As Israeli bombs fall on private homes, putting hundreds of people on the streets while more than 100 are murdered by the middle of November 2012, the West stands mute, unwilling to face its duplicity in this unlawful war. Nothing is done to help the original people of Palestine from which the State of Israel was created, and Palestinians are forced to carry their meager possessions from their destroyed homes on their backs.

Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai

Israel must be condemned by all rational, democratic governments, as its true intent was spelled out by Israeli Interior Minister Eli Yishai, a known racist and head of the ultra-orthodox Shas party,  declared: “The goal of the operation is to send Gaza back to the Middle Ages. Only then will Israel be calm for forty years.”  Ultra-orthodox Jews have for a long been known to advocate Holocaust against its enemies citing the Torah

Israel’s counterpart to Hitler’s invasion of the Sudetenland 1938

and Prophets to enhance their hatred and bigotry that far outweighs the words of Adolf Hitler.  The Allied Forces leagued together to erase NAZI Germany and rid the earth of Adolf Hitler.  It is time, again, that the Allied Forces league together to erase Israel and rid the earth of Netanyahu and Yishai. German Holocaust and Israeli Holocaust are both wrong and a crime against humanity, regardlesss if it is in the Germany of Hitler or in Israel under Netanyahu and Yishai and the Shash Party for both appeal to the Old Testament and the Old Testament is raw with spilled blood and the carnage of war and slaughter.  Like Hitler, the Israeli forces invaded sovereign territory and like Hitler and his NAZI forces, Israel occupied the territory and wrongfully declared it belonged to them and their descendants. The sole difference was that the Sudetenland was among the most pro-NAZI regions, where as the Occupied territories did not welcome nor want Israelis on its once-free lands (Zimmermann Volker:  Die Sudetendeutschen im NS-Staat. Politik und Stimmung der Bevölkerung im Reichsgau Sudetenland (1938-1945). Essen, 1999). Germany had planned ethnic cleansing before the war, in the same way that Israel now looks towards the Occupied Territories as land for Israeli homes.  Holocausts are the result of attempting to destroy within the fantasy of a “just war”–one that has never existed when the scepter of religion and authoritarianism is elevated as the primary cause and citations are made from holy books that hide the monstrosity of mortal actions against human beings (Ide, Arthur Frederick (2004). Rape, abortion, God, Bible, Tea Party Republicans and psychology

Richard Mourdock (R-IN) claims God intends for there to be rape

On Tuesday, October 23, 2012, Republican U.S. Senate candidate Richard Mourdock (running for the U.S. Senate seat in Indiana, against Democrat U.S. Congressman Joe Donnelly, the Tea Party Republican who defeated incumbent Republican Senator Richard Lugar in a surprise upset in Indiana’s primary election for U.S. Senate) declared that children born of rape are “God intended.”  Furthermore, draconically denouncing women who protest rape or abort the zygotes generated by rape as “baby [sic] killers”, Mourdock claimed that pregnancies because of rape were special gifts.  No such passage, term or phrase in relationship to rape is found in any Judeo-Christian literature, scripture, scroll or writing—nor does it appear in Mitt Romney’s Book of Mormon nor the Qur’an.

Amarna Letters (tablets c. 1399-1313 BCE)

The passages that proclaim a god telling ancient Apiru/Habiru (proto-Hebrews, a word that does not appear until Genesis 14:13) come from ancient Akkadian sources that record their mercenaries (2350 – 2150 BCE) found in the Amarna Letters (1399 – 1310 BCE that discuss campaigns in Canaan) petitioning the gods of Assyria and Babylon for women to replenish their “supply” of male fighters (women were not considered worthy) and the gods of the ancient Middle East responded by telling the Apiru to “carry off” and rape women to gain additional males.  In the cuneiform scripts the function of rape was dual in purpose.  First,  there was the idea that rape will “silence dissent” and lead to pregnancy. Second, pregnancies and subsequent births were understood to be “chattel” (equivalent to property / cattle and thus the ownership of the births belonged to the rapists who could do as he wish with the offspring that included the slaughter of female infants.  Such infanticide was common throughout the Mediterranean world, especially in ancient Rome, Akkadia, and elsewhere).

Child labor — 6.4 million under age 14 (lowest age is 4)

Killing female infants allowed males to “harness” young  males (children and teenagers) to do male labor much in the same way as the robber barons (also known as captains of industry) enslaved children during the industrial revolution and as late as the 1930s, especially in textile factories and slaughter houses.  Some male children served with female slaves as Qadesh in ancient temples as prostitutes to invoke divine blessings.

Psychologically, psychoanalytically rape has never been about sex or about procreation. Sexual rape is the link between pathological personality traits of narcissism and psychopathy and indicates sociosexual stereotypes of indoctrination by male authoritarian figures such as fathers, other family male members, priests, pastors, bishops and others who proclaim, wrongly, that the male is superior to the female (cf. Mouilso, Emily R.; Calhoun, Karen S. (2012). “A mediation model of the role of sociosexuality in the associations between narcissism, psychopathy, and sexual aggression”. doi: 10.1037/a0026217. Psychology of Violence, Vol 2(1), January 2012, 16-27).  Rape is also about domination especially when it results in the rape of males of any age, as seen commonly in war zones (Vikman, Elisabeth (2012). “Review of Sexual violence and armed conflict”. doi: 10.1037/a0028104  Peace and Conflict: Journal of Peace Psychology, Vol 18(2), May 2012, 199-

(2012). “The sexual responses of sexual sadists”. doi: 10.1037/a0028714Journal of Abnormal Psychology, Vol 121(3), Aug 2012, 739-753) in street conflicts, especially with the rapes of males (Turchik, Jessica A.; Edwards, Katie M. (2012). “Myths about male rape: A literature review”. doi: 10.1037/ a0023207. Psychology of Men & Masculinity, Vol 13(2), Apr 2012, 211-226).  Rape has always been about violence—but not in religion where most religions, especially those that came with the ascent of the Emperor Constantine I who created his “catholic [universal] church” at his war council in Nicaea in 325 CE when he attempted to unify the nation with a single religion over which he stood as Pontifex Maximus (the high priest of the state religion) in addition to being the civil war leader, rape was initially ignored and then canonized as being the fault of the woman.

Mourdock, speaking as a pope or emperor within the Tea Party Republican extremist group told an audience at the Tuesday Indiana US Senate debates:  “I came to realize that life is that gift from God; even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen.”  He quickly was denounced by the Republican Party, officially, then saw numerous Republicans race to fill his war chest to defeat Donnelly in the

November contest.  The duplicity of the corrupt Republican Party in the USA is now legendary with such effete afficionados as Sarah Palin exposing her extreme racism when Twittering about President Obama’s “Shuck and jive” on Libya that won her tremendous support among American’s racists and renewed support by organized hate groups.

Yahweh’s wife Asherah was edited out of the Bible

When the Apiru ultimately invaded the far more advanced culture of Canaan and conquered its people, they brought with them their legends and lore and used it to craft the ultimate Torah and Prophets, incorporating their lust for rape to obtain new foot soldiers.  It is for that reason we read of the vile, vicious, vitriolic gods (one of whom, the agricultural god Yahweh would “marry” (by rape) the fertility goddess of the legitimate owners of Canaan, Asherah, before her people (Palestinians) were murdered and raped with but a few (the virgins who were young) being allowed to survive to serve as breeders for the Apiru mercenaries.

1699 Qur’an showing Abram sacrificing Ishmael his first born son

The priests of the Apiru, whose specialty was taking young boys into the desert or up into the mountains and sacrificing them on altars stoked with fire (fancifully retold in the myth of Abram taking “his first born” to be sacrificed to the gods of his tribe), called on the gods from the Apiru hell and thundered rape to be justified. We find these accounts in most of the Torah, including in the last book written: Genesis—which became the backbone for the Old Testament and the Hebrew Bible.

In the Old Testament, rape was a means of subduing people, repopulating the Hebrew community that had been decimated in war, and a way to extract vengeance.  These accounts are nothing less than records of past Apiru violence, rape, and murder, as is found throughout the Old Testament, as in Numbers 31:7-18 (NLT):

They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men.  All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle.  They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword.  Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder.  They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived.  After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp.  But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle.  “Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded[Moses was among the most bloodthirsty butchers of the ancient Apiru who originally worshiped the gods of ancient Egypt and then fashioned from fantasy the gods of what would become Israel [Is-Ra-El from the secondary Trinity: Isis-Ra-El, Isis (the goddess of creation), Ra (the god of the Sun), and El (the god/father/husband who became in Babylon and Canaan Baal: who was a father who consumed his children as a cannibal)] “These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor.  They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD’s people.  Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man.  Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.  The same scenario exists in Deuteronomy 20:10-14):

As you approach a town to attack it, first offer its people terms for peace.  If they accept your terms and open the gates to you, then all the people inside will serve you in forced labor.  But if they refuse to make peace and prepare to fight, you must attack the town.  When the LORD your God hands it over to you, kill every man in the town.  But you may keep for yourselves all the women, children, livestock, and other plunder.  You may enjoy the spoils of your enemies that the LORD your God has given you.

And in Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (NLT) there is the sole proviso on rape:

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father.  Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

If she was married and did not protest fearing the rapist would kill her, the rape victim was to be killed (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB; plagiarized from the records of Marid (Arabic: مارد‎) who were djinn or pre-Muslim deities):

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.

The woman was nothing more than property as later glossed in Judges 5:30 (NAB):  They must be dividing the spoils they took: there must be a damsel or two for each man, Spoils of dyed cloth as Sisera’s spoil, an ornate shawl or two for me in the spoil.   (Judges 5:30 NAB).

The gods of the Old Testament in cruelty (deisidaimonia), and spite declared that Polygamy, Rape, and the ending of a fetus’ life was pleasant and merited the gods “Forgiveness” (2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB; cf. Avalos, Hector (2005). Fighting Words: The Origins of Religious Violence. Amherst, New York: Prometheus Books, and Regina M. Schwartz (1998). The Curse of Cain: The Violent Legacy of Monotheism. University of Chicago Press):

Thus says the Lord: ‘I will bring evil upon you out of your own house.  I will take your wives [plural] while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor.  He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight.  You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.’

Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”  Nathan answered David: “The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die.  But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die.”  [The child dies seven days later.]

Women were marketable commodities: slaves and sex slaves or whores (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT; cf. Ide, Arthur Frederick (1992). Moses: The Making of Myth and Law: the influence of Egyptian sex, religion, and law on the writing of the Torah. Las Colinas, TX: Monument Press):

When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are.  If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.  But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her.  And if the slave girl’s owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter.  If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife.  If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment.

Judges 21:10-24 (NLT) which is plagiarized from the far more ancient story of the Rape of the Sabine women (c. 750 – 752 BCE; Livy, Ab urbe condita, 1:10, Latin; Benjamin Vincent (1874).  Haydn’s Dictionary of Dates (New York, BY: GP Putnam & Sons, p. 572):

So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children.  “This is what you are to do,” they said. “Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin.”  Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.

The Israelite assembly sent a peace delegation to the little remnant of Benjamin who were living at the rock of Rimmon. Then the men of Benjamin returned to their homes, and the four hundred women of Jabesh-gilead who were spared were given to them as wives.  But there were not enough women for all of them.  The people felt sorry for Benjamin because the LORD had left this gap in the tribes of Israel.  So the Israelite leaders asked, “How can we find wives for the few who remain, since all the women of the tribe of Benjamin are dead?  There must be heirs for the survivors so that an entire tribe of Israel will not be lost forever.  But we cannot give them our own daughters in marriage because we have sworn with a solemn oath that anyone who does this will fall under God’s curse.”

Then they thought of the annual festival of the LORD held in Shiloh, between Lebonah and Bethel, along the east side of the road that goes from Bethel to Shechem.  They told the men of Benjamin who still needed wives, “Go and hide in the vineyards.  When the women of Shiloh come out for their dances, rush out from the vineyards, and each of you can take one of them home to be your wife!  And when their fathers and brothers come to us in protest, we will tell them, ‘Please be understanding.  Let them have your daughters, for we didn’t find enough wives for them when we destroyed Jabesh-gilead. And you are not guilty of breaking the vow since you did not give your daughters in marriage to them.'”  So the men of Benjamin did as they were told.  They kidnapped the women who took part in the celebration and carried them off to the land of their own inheritance.  Then they rebuilt their towns and lived in them.  So the assembly of Israel departed by tribes and families, and they returned to their own homes.

These women were repeatedly raped. It was excused on the pretext of religion, as the gods of the Old Testament take an active role in rape and plunder (Zechariah 14:1-2 NAB):

Lo, a day shall come for the Lord when the spoils shall be divided in your midst.  And I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle: the city shall be taken, houses plundered, women ravished; half of the city shall go into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be removed from the city.

The sole exception is if the girl is “engaged” (a public announcement of betrothal is made):

But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lies with her shall die. But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case. When he found her in the field, the engaged girl cried out, but there was no one to save her (Deuteronomy 22:25-27; cf. Schroeder, Joy A. (2007). Magnes, ha-Universitah ha-Ivrit.

On the other hand, abortion is not condemned nor denied in the Bible.  If it occurred during the time of war or other conflict it was merely an accident for which a monetary price had to be paid; Exodus 21:22 reads:

When people who are fighting injure a pregnant woman so that there is a miscarriage, and yet no further harm follows, the one responsible shall be fined what the woman’s husband demands, paying as much as the judges determine.

While there is no word for abortion in the Bible, the gods of Old Testament delighted in the slaughter of fetus and new born children:

  • Numbers 31:17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones.
  • Deuteronomy 2:34 utterly destroyed the men and the women and the little ones.
  • Deuteronomy 28:53 And you shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters.
  • 1 Samuel 15:3 slay both man and woman, infant and suckling.
  • 2 Kings 8:12 dash their children, and rip up their women with child.
  • 2 Kings 15:16 all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.
  • Isaiah 13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled and their wives ravished.
  • Isaiah 13:18 They shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
  • Lamentations 2:20 Shall the women eat their fruit, and children.
  • Ezekiel 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids and little children.
  • Hosea 9:14 give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.
  • Hosea 13:16 their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

“Fruit” (וּפְרִי־) was another word for fetus (cf. Isaiah 13:18:  וּקְשָׁתֹות נְעָרִים תְּרַטַּשְׁנָה וּפְרִי־בֶטֶן לֹא יְרַחֵמוּ עַל־בָּנִים לֹא־תָחוּס עֵינָם׃) he destruction of the fetus was not knew in the ancient world, but was especially common among the save polytheists known as the Apiru (Hebrew), especially when fighting for the Akaddians.

Even Jesus noted that women would come to the day in their life when they wished they had not been pregnant nor give birth to future generations: “For, behold, the days are coming, in which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the womb that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck” (Luke 23:29: ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἔρχονται ἡμέραι ἐν αἷς ἐροῦσιν· μακάριαι αἱ στεῖραι καὶ αἱ κοιλίαι αἱ οὐκ ἐγέννησαν καὶ μαστοὶ οἱ οὐκ ἔθρεψαν).  The antiabortion position does not demonstrate love for humanity, or compassion for real human beings, but glories in the suffering of woman in testimony to Genesis 3:16 (KJV): “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee”.

The biblical injunction “Thou shalt not kill” (KJV: Exodus 20:13, copied into Deuteronomy 5:17; cp. Numbers 35:27; 1 Kings 21:19; Hosea 4:2, ref. Deuteronomy 4:42) forbids killing anyone outside of the womb.  When the fetus is mentioned it is mentioned as “fruit” that is not fully ripened or formed.  Pregnancy was “to be fruitful” and if the zygote developed into a fetus, that fetus was referred to as “fruit of the womb.” The Greeks were equally explicit as to the timetable of the development of the fetus (see: Ide, Arthur Frederick (1993). Catechism of Family Values Based on the Bible (Arlington, Liberal Arts Press), pp. 241ff).

Abortion is considered a valid alternative to slaughter: “…but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born (Matthew 26:24). Abortion was common throughout the ancient world. While many medical professionals would administer certain herbs to expel the fetus, women of station who were raped committed suicide to protect their “honor”—a practice that last beyond the beginnings of the Christian church (c. 325 CE) and was a mark of martyrdom for many who ultimately were canonized as saints.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) does find cases where abortion is accepted, however reluctantly:Some exceptional circumstances may justify an abortion, such as when pregnancy is the result of incest or rape, when the life or health of the mother is judged by competent medical authority to be in serious jeopardy, or when the fetus is known by competent medical authority to have severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth. … Those who face such circumstances should consider abortion only after consulting with their local Church leaders and receiving a confirmation through earnest prayer“.

In 2011, two out of three women having abortions in the U.S. identified as Christian.  Few women capriciously elected abortion.  Most of the women who had an abortion showed their understanding of the responsibilities of parenthood and family life. Three-fourths of women cited concern for or responsibility to other individuals.  Three-fourths say they could not afford a child; the Qur’an forbids “the killing of a child for lack of food in the home (Al-Israa 17:31 and Al-An’aam 6:151: And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin” but says nothing about abortion; this is mentioned only in Hadith – Sahih Bukhari 8.732 that mentions only a “blood price” if the woman herself kills the fetus; a woman who strikes another woman who is pregnant and kills the fetus is to be put to death in Hadith – Abu Dawood 4555 but says nothing about a voluntary abortion; a similar sentence is at Hadith – Al-Muwatta 43.5) and three-fourths said that having a baby would interfere with work, school or the ability to care for dependents. No less than half said they did not want to be a single parent or were having problems with their husband or partner (Finer L. B., et al. (2005). “Reasons U.S. women have abortions: quantitative and qualitative perspectives”, Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health, 2005, 37(3):110–118.).

Richard Mourdock (who claimed that God intends rape to occur can be seen here). “Mourdock’s belief that there should be no exception that allows a woman to end a pregnancy is shared by the GOP platform and at least 40 Republican candidates for the House and Senate including Rep. Paul Ryan, the GOP nominee for vice-president, and Rep. Todd Akin,”) comes from the Paul Ryan (who sponsored Fetal Personhood and opposes family planning, read here), Todd Akin (who claims that it is impossible for a woman who is raped to conceive; watch here, and read Jason Sattler at The National Memo), Joe Walsh (read here:  “there is no need for an abortion to save the mother’s life”,  with update), Rick Santorum (who carried a dead fetus to his children for them to play with and opposes all abortions in all cases (althought his wife, Karen, had one) and claims that their is no constitutional right to privacy, opposes birth control (read here and here), and is equally equated with the Afghan Taliban being for the mind control of Opus Dei and stagnating education (read here and here), Sharron Angel (against abortion claiming that her god has a plan for babies born as the product of rape; read here) wing of the GOP that believes in abortion for zero percent of all cases — no abortion, no exception for rape, incest, life of the mother, or health of the mother. Period.

It is a great shame that none of these men are raped.  If these men could become pregnant, abortion would be a sacrament. despite the ignorance of Timothy Dolan, Bryan Fischer or the German Joseph Ratzinger.

Palestinians are an “invented” people, Newt Gingrich?

Newt Gingrich in Iowa in 2011

Newton Leroy (surname McPherson at birth, his father was Newton Searles McPherson but the parents divorced within days) Gingrich (born June 17, 1943) was raised a Lutheran, but converted to the Baptist faith while at Tulane.  Newt received an MA (1968) and a PhD (1971) from Tulane University in European history.  His dissertation was entitled “Belgian Education Policy in the Congo: 1945–1960”.  He never studied neither Middle Eastern nor Arab history but in 2011 proclaimed that he is knowledgeable about Palestine and the Ottoman Empire.

In 1970, Gingrich joined the history department at West Georgia College (now University of West Georgia; today it is ranked 16th out of 48 universities in Georgia) as an assistant professor.  Four years later Gingrich moved to the geography department and was instrumental in establishing an interdisciplinary environmental studies program. He was denied tenure and left the third-rank college in 1978.

With a penchant for luxury jets and expensive jewelry (bought at Tiffany’s in New York City where he owed more than six figures without any interest charge), he demands that he be treated and toasted as if royalty, regardless if it

is giving a speech at a small college or on the campaign trail (on public disclosure forms, politicians must only give an approximate figure on what is owned or owed).  Gingrich is known for excessive demands such as luxury hotel accommodations plus two bathrooms in any hotel suite.  At the same time Gingrich likes to style himself a friend of the Middle Class tracing his roots back to his childhood.  His five bedroom, 4.5 bath house was worth $995,000 in 2000 and is 5,206 square feet that he finds to be painfully small on a cul-de-sac in McLean, Virginia and today is marked down to the price of $1.275 million.

Gingrich and current wife (Callista) say they live frugally but buy jewelry at Tiffany's

Nearly a puritan in proclamations Gingrich is a vocal critic against sexual infidelity. While in Congress, the Georgia Republican led the charge against President Bill Clinton for the Lewinsky scandal, while at the same time keeping a mistress, Congressional staffer Callista Bisek, secret from his colleagues.  He demands objectivity of others, but at the same time taught a politically motivated course and took public money

While arguing against health care Newt took millions of dollars from the health care industry.  He has been on the side of the large insurance companies and faults those who do not have health coverage as being parasites for not buying health coverage, while Michele Bachmann told an Iowa audience that those without health insurance can rely on charity.

Golda Meir, socialist and Zionist, with troops

Running for President of the USA, On December 9, 2011, in an interview with The Jewish Channel, Gingrich was quick to disparage Arabs and Palestinians—calling Palestinians an “invented people” (read here and here)  as if trying to channel  former USA citizen and socialist-Zionist Golden Meir, who left her home in Michigan 1921 for a British mandate it acquired following World War I and was a onetime Prime Minister of Israel, declared in ignorance in 1969 that there had never been a Palestinian state, but was addressing the current post-war era, as Meir had no knowledge of ancient history or of the land that included Jews, Muslims and Christians, with the land the people living on the land identified as “Palestinian.”  This can be seen in Elliott Abrams, who was President George W. Bush’s top Mideast advisor, dismissal of Gingrich’s statement as out of touch with reality.  “There was no Jordan or Syria or Iraq, either, so perhaps he would say they are all invented people as well and also have no right to statehood. Whatever was true then, Palestinian nationalism has grown since 1948, and whether we like it or not, it exists.”  Meir moved to an unchartered place that the UN ultimately styled Israel (which was historically known as Palaestina, and is in Roman records as late as 135 CE (in the age of Julius Cesar it was known by various names including Canaan, Judea, Sumeria, and by latter-day Jews “a pagan land” as it did not embrace the agriculture or warrior gods of the Hebrews)—and both are wrong.

GOP House Whip embraces PLO leader Yassar Arafat 1993 (Huffington Post photo)

While former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on December 9, 2011, claimed that Palestinians were an invention, in 1993, standing in front of Representative Nick Rahall (D-WV), embraced Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) leader Yasser Arafat.  Gingrich has claimed, furthermore, that the Palestinians are “Arabs” (as if they originated in Arabia) since they were a part of the Ottoman Empire.  They were never Arabs when the nation first began over 15,000 years ago.  However, many became Muslim by force (it was known as the Eastern Roman Empire and was far more civilized than Rome) although Palestines have Jews, Christians of various denominations and sects, and other religions.  It was a geographical area that belonged to the Roman Empire, having as its capital the Greek Imperial City of Constantinople (today’s Istanbul).  The majority were Greek and Christian at the time of the conquest who merged into the Ottoman Empire but did not renounce their Christian faith.

According to the Torah and Hebrew Old Testament, the “first people” (by modern mistranslation a man and a woman) lived in Gan Eden (Genesis 3:3)—which is geographically located in Iraq.  The Jews claimed them as their ancestors. From there the record is weak, with the “sons” who had sex with their sisters (Genesis 4:19ff) moving to other lands and taking them by conquest (Genesis 5-6, 10-11).  Genesis 12:1 and 13:1 speaks of “Abram” going out of Egypt—which would match the records of the Hyksos (a Greek word: Ὑκσώς; in Egyptian it is heqa khasewet) who had Apiru/Abiru/Habiru (or Hebrews) as retainers.  The retainers were also known as Kassites or Amorites and identified as being Arabs.  Many now think that these people were minor functionary Hyksos (known as Midianites and as Palestinians; read here and here).  They were similar to the shepherd kings in Arabia: الملوك الرعاة who records also style as mercenaries working for the pharaoh.

Mercenaries have always excisted, and were made up of two groups of people: those seeking adventure and wealth, and the very poor who had no alternative.  They included Celtic who were joined by Greek (664-250 BCE) adventurers and vagabonds.  The Greeks required payment, although Egypt was not at this time a monetary society. Special gold staters seem to have been struck to maintain their services, and this led to coinage and currency. Copts and Ethiopians joined them.

Native Egyptian pyramid workers in ancient Egypt (none were slaves)

The Jews were never slaves in Egypt.  There is no record of such enslavement found anywhere in Egypt: in or on any tomb or pyramid, in any scroll or other document.  Those farmers and workers who built the pyramids were paid, given housing, food, and medical attention.  Large limestone blocks were pulled along using wooden rollers. Nearly all the workers were Egyptians, with many being full-time paid employees, while others rotated seasonally when work was available.  The whip was not applied.

If Jews had been slaves, the Egyptians (who were meticulous record-keepers) would have noted that, and written beside each name the value of the slave.  Such records do not exist.  The fact that such an allegation of Jews being slaves appears only in the Bible and basically in the Book of Exodus (the word pyramid does not appear anywhere in the Bible; it comes from Herodotus): and none of that book is historical (Ide, Arthur Frederick (1992). Moses: making of myth & law : the influence of Egyptian sex, religion, and law on the writing of the Torah / with an introduction by Decherd Turner.  Las Colinas, TX, USA: Monument Press).  It is political posturing and has no resemblance to reality.  It is popular propaganda: a practice that was widespread.

The Hyksos and Palestinians (Palestinians can be traced from the Stone Age to prerecorded epochs: 500,000 to 14,000 BCE) were a settled and affluent society.  In the Mesolithic Period (15,000 – 9,500 BCE), they were known as the Natufian.  The Natufian Palestinians built fortified cities far grander and more secure than other people built their towns.  Many of these urban areas were constructed near Jericho (which was another Palestinian stronghold).

Walls of Jericho (8500 BCE - 2011 CE)

Jericho’s walls held for millennium until they were shaken by a massive earthquake as was first suggested by John Garstang, who confessed in his introduction that he had labored to prove the story of Joshua in the Bible–but could not prove the legend of heralding angels with trumpet blasts (Garstang, John and Garstang, JBE (John Bergès Eustace) (1940). The Story of Jericho. London, UK: Hodder & Stoughton).  Those who recorded its destruction used a metaphor, as the Garstangs later acknowledge, that some of the mud-brick walls of Jericho fell due to an earthquake that sounded like “trumpet blasts”: a common expression for seismic upheavals and the sounds earthquakes make.  Other walls surrounding Jericho are still standing.

Using a metaphor to describe the fury and shaking, sound and swiftness of the earthquake was in keeping with the genre of the time. There is no record (pictorial or otherwise) of any army marching around it, for Jericho was believed protected to be protected by the gods of Mesopotamia.

As early as the 10 millennium B.C.E., Palestinians engaged in plant and animal domestication that sprung forth from the transition of shepherding to agriculture.  It would highlight the ‘Neolithic Revolution’ (9000 – 4500 BCE) and the antecedents for the name began to emerge.

The ancient Palestinians were known as the al-Natoofieh.  They occupied caves north of Jerusalem, and had a long history as a civilized state.

The al-Natoofieh established the City of Jericho (Tell es-Sultan).  It was (and is) the oldest continuously inhabited city in existence, being founded in 8000 BCE.  It flourished for one thousand years.

Hyksos introduce war chariots and horses into Egypt

Palestine civilization was more advanced beyond that of the Hyksos and Apiru (who may have been the same nation) when the people moved toward greater unity, education, and inventing various arts from 8000-4500 BCE, going from food collectors to food producers (especially barley and wheat; the mythology of Enoch attributed early man’s knowledge of plant domestication to the fallen angel Semjaza out of which would come the invention of The Devil).  The Book of Enoch mentions Sarara and Galbanum (spices listed in Exodus 30:34), and suggests that the people were not depending solely on hunting or herding as was the lot of the early Habiru/Apiru (Hebrews) who had not yet invaded their lands with the open intent to steal it.  Enoch and his people were Sumerians, not Jews, and had an advanced culture that rivaled most other civilizations.  They gave to the world such myths as giants, fallen angels, and even extra-terrestrial beings coming to earth.

Palestine carried on trade with foreign nations, as seen in the pottery found in Egypt and elsewhere that matches that of Palestine.  It shows the close connection between Palestine and Egypt and it would be out of Egypt (especially during the reign of Pharaoh Seti I) that the later Hyksos and Apiru would come.

By 7200 BCE, Palestine was invaded by exiles from the North: by Aryans from India, to unsettled Greeks and people from what would become present-day Turkey.  Farms began to develop, with the average size farm being ten acres.

Palestinian artifacts in Chalcolithic Age 4500-3500 BCE

The Chalcolithic Period (4500 – 3300 BCE), also known as the Copper Stone Age, was relatively peaceful.  This can be noted in the paucity of fortresses built and the allowance of older walls to crumble. The arts flourished as seen in more sophisticated pottery production and ornamentation, heralding the beginning of Nimrod’s empire (Genesis 10:10) that was a beacon for intellectual dialogue, the advance of science but the diminution of religion leading many cult leaders seeing the multiculturalism of the empire as a threat, with plots to overthrow it and reestablish theocracies thereby enriching the sacerdotalists’ coffers.

Ancient ruins of Beersheba

An alphabet and writing was introduced and caught on quickly (Genesis 10:10, 11:2, 14:2).  Jewelry, using copper and ivory (discovered in and around Beersheba) became popular for both genders—as sex was an act of worship and joy and not reserved merely for procreation—distressing the a Hyksos and Apiru who argued that a woman’s purpose was to produce future soldiers for conquest, and misogynism entered into ontology and theologies. Flint anvils were fashioned along with ovens, various tools, and the introduction of roads that made Palestine the crossroads between East and West, appeared. Foundations for homes were laid out; architecture began in earnest, while the

Zarethan (advanced Palestinian city)

Hyksos and Habiru were still living in tents. In the biblical city of Zarethan (Joshua 3:16; I Kings 4:12, 7:46; II Chronicles 4:17) archaeologists have found evidence of an olive oil production facility, strengthening the theory that Palestine was engaged in large-scale production for foreign trade since it most likely made more oil than the immediate community could consume.  That there was foreign trade is evidenced by the numerous tokens of currency from other civilizations found in the region.  Furthermore, within the facility a sunken room was found providing an area to cool liquids, such as wine and olive oil, for storage.  The Hyksos remained in Egypt until c. 1550 BCE, when the boy-pharaoh Ahmos ejected the invaders in battle.  As one foot-soldier wrote:

Pharaoh Ahmos and the defeat of the Hyksos

Let me speak to you and tell you the honors I received. How I was decorated with gold. During the siege of Avaris, the king noticed me fighting bravely on foot, and promoted me. We took Avaris. I carried off four people there. A man and three women and his majesty let me keep them as slaves.

Hyksos art

Ahmos pushed the Hyksos out of Southern Egypt, but died before reclaiming all of ancient Egypt.  The Hyksos would remain in the North for a while until they would be turned out by the Egyptians (most likely the root of the myth of Moses and the Exodus). Neither the Habiru nor the Hyksos had similar, and none of this would appear in what would become Israel until the final millennium BCE.  Their art was more pastoral than their neighbors, although they were a war-like people because of their need to eat and work was not easily obtained for a “foreign” nation of shepherds, concentrating on familial scenes, especially that of women carrying children. Archaeological evidence proves that when Abram arrived in a heterogeneous Palestine that was neither backwards nor unsettled, but was a highly developed civilization engaged in international commerce (Paton, Lewis Bayles (1901). The early history of Syria and Palestine. New York, NY, USA: Charles Scribners’ Sons [reissued in 1902, 1909, and 2007).  Abram was the barbarian who invaded and destroyed what he saw, with his apologists distorting (and destroying) records to make the man from Ur appear as a holy and knowledgeable sage.  The Palestinians had already invented writing, kept written historical and economic records, and led to the introduction of education.  From 3200 to 2000 BCE, the Palestinians built fortifications to keep out the less civilized tribes, including the Hyksos including Habiru/Apiru and their mercenaries who ultimately entered around 1900 BCE, destroying most of the advanced civilizations, communities and people.

During the third millennium BCE, The Ammonites, Canaanites, Yabousians and Phoenicians moved into Palestine in the third millennium BCE. The Canaanites, who built more than 200 towns in the second millennium BCE, settled on the plains of Palestine and the Ammonites settled in the mountains. The Yabousians settled in and around the area that would become Jerusalem and built the city of Jerusalem naming it “Yabous” then “Hierosolyma”. The Phoenicians settled on the north coast of Palestine and in Lebanon, but all considered themselves Palestinians, identified with the Palestinian people and armed against the saber-rattling of the Habiru who were known as blood-thirsty assassins and thieves.

The Hyksos and Habiru

Habiru shown in the tombs of Amarna (Egypt)

The Hyksos were famous for introducing the horse and chariot and modern burial customs including burying the horse with its owner and became a part of the shepherd kings who ultimately would rule over Arabia: الفلسطينيون ‎, al-‘Arab al-Filasṭīniyyūn but were not Arab by definition but were mixed Semitic-Asiatics with their foreign (non-indigenous) traits found at Tell el-Dab’a whose chief deity was the Egyptian storm and desert god Seth—who legend claims was the third son of an early goddess fashioned from bone. From this came the legend detailed by Josephus Flavius, Adversus Apion, 1.73, who wrote: It was also reported that the priest, who ordained their polity and their laws, was by birth of Heliopolis, and his name Osarsiph, from Osyris, who was the god of Heliopolis; but that when he was gone over to these people, his name was changed, and he was called Moses.

Turk/Arab racism in North Africa (Black Obelisk 4)

Once out of Egypt, Abram and his “nephew” Lot began a war to oust the original inhabitants (cf. Genesis 14:14f) of what would become Israel—the Canaanites who are recognized as the heirs of Canaan (who was cursed by Noah but without reason as it was Ham who “saw” his father naked, the grandson is not even mentioned as being in the tent; this follows the scenario of Oedipus and his incestuous relationship with his mother by whom they spawned Electra), son of Ham.  This was because the gods of Abram were violent, warmongering and hate-filled, eager for human sacrifice (cf. Genesis 22:2, 9, cp. John 3:16 as the gods demanded that mortals to fear them: Genesis 22:12b). Lot would later go to Zoar (Genesis 19:39), and after being expelled from that city-state went into the mountains with his daughters.  Once in a cave (reminiscent of the cave where Mithras was born of a virgin mother (who was given the title of “Mother of God“) on December 25, and some scrolls claim that Jesus was born, according to Justin Martyr (Dialogue with Trypho, LXX and LXXVIII citing Isaiah 33:16 as the source for the Mirthras nativity–but there is no such reference in Isaiah, and Justin Martyr is neither credible nor reliable and is not a confirmed Christian in the orthodox definition and should be used with care and caution), Origen, Contra Celsum 1.2, and the Protoevangelium 18, while in the Jerusalem Talmud (Ber. ii. 3) it is written that Jesus was born in a “royal castle” that was an euphemism for a cave as both were made out of rock or stone) his two daughters made him drunk and then had sex with him (Genesis 19:34-36), in keeping the debauchery of the earlier crucified saviour Bacchus.  Both females conceived, adding bastardy (illegitimacy) to incest.

The constant attack upon the Palestinians and their compatriots the Phoenicians continued for generations, as is found to be common in the Old Testament: from Joshua to “the people of Moses” and so forth (Genesis 50:30 sq, cp. Joshua 7). The Biblical Jews (there is little historical evidence for a people of that name at that time) continued to war for the plains “that the gods [Elohim] gave” them (Moses uses the plural adjective with the plural noun elohim: “hath heard the voice of the living gods [elohim hayyim]”; cp. Genesis 1:26 as it is followed by a plural verb; for an interesting discussion read here)—a tribal god(s) who was/were married, allegedly, to the goddess of the Canaanites: Asherah (Astarte).  The argument that Joshua wrestled the lands away from the Palestinians because his gods The stories of Joshua and “the people of Moses” (Genesis 50:30 sq, cp. Joshua 7) follow the same pattern: war for the plains “that the gods [Elohim] gave” them (Moses uses the plural adjective with the plural noun elohim: “hath heard the voice of the living gods [elohim hayyim]”; cp. Genesis 1:26; the plural noun is followed by a plural verb; for an interesting discussion read more here; the story of Moses and the Torah that he allegedly wrote is filled with numerous errors, the most basic being his authorship as he not only writes, in the third person singular, of his death but also his burial: Deuteronomy 34) were determined to give the Jews a “homeland” is filled with errors: it is justified based on land taken by war 3,300 years ago and lost by war 2600 years ago. By that logic, Americans

Palestine existed before Zionists arrived (photo 1870 by Michael Maslan)

On November 12, 1917, the government of Great Britain issued the Balfour Declaration promising to build a Jewish state that had not existed for more than a millennia: a declaration Great Britain had no right to make since the land was already owned by Palestinians.  To enforce its illegal designs, Great Britain invaded Palestine in December 1917 under the guise of destroying the Ottoman Empire.  Sir Herbert Louis 1st Viscount Samuel, a declared Zionist who was openly opposed to any recognition of Palestinian legitimacy (Ingrams, Doreen (1972). Braziller, p. 106), was sent as Britain’s first High Commissioner to Palestine, and began the systematic persecution and suppression of the Palestinian people.  In April 1920, in the small Italian town of San Remo, Britain and France divide the Middle East into mandates while the American ambassador read his newspaper in the garden (Cohen, Michael Joseph (1987). Origins and Evolution of the Arab-Zionist Conflict.  Berkeley, CA, USA: University of California Press, p. 64 and footnote).  This was buttressed the corrupt League of Nations in 1922 that used greater force against the Palestinians while ignoring the rise of Adolf Hitler in the 1930s and 1940s.

It is impossible to prove anything in one book by citing the book itself, yet that is what Gingrich and Israeli apologists do—using the bibles of their faith that were written not as historical records by records of faith and instruction.  What is known is that there are no external contemporary records in ancient Egypt, Sumeria, or Babylon that note a Jewish presence in Palestine when the descendants of Jacob moved in on the land in open warfare.  The Arabs adopted much from the Torah and the Old and New Testaments to create the Qur’an/Koran (Abraham is mentioned more times than Muhammad), but religious plagiarism is common throughout the world.  It is from the tale of Abram and his two sons (Isaac, the youngest, born to Sara (a shortened version of the Egyptian Ummu-sarra), wife of Abram; and, Ishmael (إسماعيل‎), born to Abraham’s concubine (cf. Koran 2:62; 37:102-111; the problem that exists is that many Christians take the Bible as fact, when the same Bible says it is not all fact: Jeremiah 8:8 RSV:  How can you say, We are wise, we have the law of the LORD, when scribes with their lying pens have falsified it? ) and slave Hagar [a name that means flight or cast out) that enmity broke out among their descendants: Muslims who cite Ishmael as the father of the Arab race (Greenspahn, Frederick E. “Ishmael” in Lindsay Jones, ed (2005). Encyclopedia of Religion (2nd ed). New York, NY, USA: MacMillan Reference Books. p. 4551-4552; cp. McAuliffe, Jane Dammen, ed (2005). Encyclopedia of the Qur’an.  Leiden, Netherlands: E. J. Brill Academic Publishers. Ishmael is far older than Isaac in ancient Semitic literature and folklore, and most likely was incorporated into the Abrahamic legends) and Jews who cite Isaac as the father of Jews.  The battle has lasted since Ishmael was cast out into the wilderness because of the jealous of Sara (Genesis 21:8-21). The son whom Abram intended to kill is not named in the Torah, but Muslims claim it was not Isaac but Ishmael who accompanied him into the mountains to be sacrificed to a vengeful god who would sacrifice his own son.

Genesis: Old legends and modern fantasies scrutinized

For the last 1700 years various groups of Christians have considered that the Bible began its sordid tales with the writing of the Book of Genesis.  This error was generated because the word genesis, coming from the Greek γένεσις (a part of the Proto-Indo-European languages adapted to Sanskrit and Semitic languages from γέν that developed from the Sanskrit शुरू referring to a birthing from nothing but coming with force (such as a Big Bang; it does not translate as a “fashioning by hand” or “creation”), means “origin“.  The Hebrew uses the word בְּרֵאשִׁית‎, Bereʾšyt.  It translates as “In the beginning”.

Genesis was coined by a crass conclave of courtiers in the keep of the King Josiah.  The writers group continued, and flourished later under the patronage of King Jehoiachin and the queen mother of Judah–thousands of years after various people who eventually emerged as a Semitic people (politely styled “Hebrews” in Jeremiah 29:2) with the royal family pushed from the throne by a violent god (Jeremiah 22:24; the god was the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar (2 Chronicles 24:15 and 36:9-10).

While myth makes Moses the author of the Torah, that is a pious fiction, for it is impossible for anyone to write about his or her own death.  As various scholars have noted, the authorship of Moses, is a pitifully pious fraud (De Wette, Wilhelm Martin Leberecht (1829) Lehrbuch der historisch  kritischen  ein  leitung in die Bibel Alten und Neuen Testaments. Berlin, G. Reimes, 1817 [vol. 1], 1829 [vol. 3], etc.).

The collection of courtiers gave a cornerstone, by penning “Genesis”, as a way to spirit away time–much as the lords and ladies meeting to fashion the Decameron.  It is on the frivolity of favorites of the sovereign that the initial Hebrew mythologies were built, initiating both the Hebrew tales of wonder as well as the canons that became a part of what the pagan emperor Constantine I wanted: a universal (or “catholic”) church.  The fact that Constantine knew of these fables can be attested in the writings of those who came after Josephus–an unscrupulous liar.  But the stories did continue–many being enhanced and expanded by Augustine of Hippo and those who followed his writings.

We can read much of the transmogrification of writings in the various redactions of old Canaanite tales and those from Babylon and Sumeria and Samaria.  To this end we have the non-Hebrew story of Ruth, the alleged Babylonian Empress Esther, and others.  This led the great Constantine to call for his warrior bishops to put aside their differences and attempt to live in (unrealized) harmony when he forced through his novel idea in 325 CE at Nicaea.  Out of this came the “catholic” [universal] church that was anything but united.

To create a united people, the imperial house reasoned, it was essential to initialize a united religion as the various theologies of ancient Roman and Greek gods and goddesses were not only multiplying but mutating.  It was the Emperor’s hope–as mentioned by the Arian bishop Eusebius of Caesarea–that this could be done by finding common themes in all of the tales of generations and civilizations.  From this came the compilation of creation narratives, and then later literary escapes from India (Abraham, patterned after the god Brahma) to southern Ethiopia (Queen of Sheba).

In the “primeval history” of Genesis (chapters 1-11), dated somewhere around the sixth century BCE, the reader finds most of the ancient legends that have similarities to all other ancient theologies that predate it by no less than 2400 years.  This makes other less-tainted theologies not only far older but far more reliable than the fantasies of in Gan [garden] Eden in Iraq that actually, on papyrus and skins, extended from the mountains of Turkey to southern Chad.

The landlords of Eden grew herbs (Genesis 1:11a).  The great error is that people were illiterate and fearful of natural phenomena–and this terror escalated as civilizations grew so that simple stories took on a god-appearance structure, and words like “baal” (which meant husband) became a god of terror, and elohim (a plural noun) was wrenched away from leaders to god(s)/goddess(es). After the herbs evolved from the ground (the English text reads: “Let the earth bring forth”–no god(s)/goddess(es) is/are mentioned as creating the herbs), “the  fruit tree” (singular: one, in Genesis 1:11b) appears and from its seed other fruit trees evolved (Genesis 1:12) once more without the intervention of any god(s)/goddess(es).  What is forgotten is that kings (and cesars: emperors) were frequently proclaimed gods not only after they died as was more common with the page of history being turned once Julius crossed the Rubicon, but were also hailed as gods following successful battles or while engaged in major works.  Thus Hadrian was a god in popular mentality as were the various Raj (Hindustani in origin (राज راج), was more popular after 1858, with the British Conquest of what is today known as India (civilization that can be charted more than 500,000 years ago and was established by a [the number varies] a shepherd boy with a mythology much like that of David of the Old Testament; the religion of India was polytheistic and from it came the Apiru, or early Hebrew, polytheism, with the India Vishnu (Sanskrit विष्णु Viṣṇu) who had a ‘Universal Form‘ (Vishvarupa) that is beyond the ordinary limits of human perception or imagination being similar to Elohim) and meant “ruler”, the leaders of tribes in Northern and Central Africa, and even among the ancient Britons and Picts to the North.  It will be out of India and Hinduism that the concept of a Holy Trinity, the Trimurti (translated as: ‘three forms’; in Sanskrit: त्रिमूर्ति trimūrti; cf. Zimmer, Heinrich (1972). Myths and Symbols in Indian Art and Civilization. Princeton, NJ USA: Princeton University Press, p. 124), was born no less than 400,000 BCE, with Brahma (prototype for Abraham) the creator, Vishnu the maintainer or preserver, and Shiva the destroyer or transformer.

A bas-relief depiction of the Trimurti at The Hoysaleswara temple in Halebidu

While predatory priests and pastors from the ancient world that would ultimately take on the name of Hebrew and declare the House of Levi to be the true spokesman of the ancient Egyptian god Yah, it needed the support of teachers (rabbis) who were quick to curry favor by deleting words, adding phrases, and changing original scripts into a distorted scripture that the ignorant accepted in blind faith.   To those in early, medieval and modern Paulinity (the religion that developed out of primitive Christianity) have tried desperately to cast the destruction of the ancient world on the transgressions or sins of mortals, the opposite is far more plausible–and more documents are being made public to show that most of the Old Testament is mortal made and written numerous times to incorporate errors demanded by those in power.

The most fascinating aspect of this mythology is that the gods (or more precisely the nobility) play no role at all in the evolution of life. It is the water that “brings forth the creeping creature having life” (Genesis 1:20a), and from the water comes the fowl (Genesis 1:20b).  The development of the language has left scholars guessing for nearly 1300 years (Van Seters, John (2004). The Pentateuch: a social-science commentary. Continuum International Publishing Group, p. 114).  “Create” does not mean to “make out of nothing” but to make better that which exists. For example, an artist creates a picture, but the artist must first have the canvas or the paper on which to draw or sketch with pen or pencil or pigments.

AL-288-1 (Lucy, skeleton found in Ethiopia)

No where in the ancient texts does it say that the god(s)/goddess(es) [hereafter I will refer to these elohim as lords, until the word becomes “gods” in the original scrolls or incised on stones or tablets) of Genesis originated life–they refined what already existed.  Throughout Genesis 1, it is “the earth [that] brings forth…life (animals, fowl,  fish, and mortals)”–not a god/goddess, for these beings were nothing more than proprietors.  While evangelical extremists and Biblical literalists argue that the world is 6000 years old, Richard Leaky and his family found the earliest humanoid bones of the skeleton of an individual Australopithecus afarensis known as Lucy (the common name of AL 288-1), that dates to more than 3.2 million years ago.  No male skeletons were found.

The antediluvian property owner of the Garden (an allegory of land from Assyria to Ethiopia, as found in Genesis 2:10-14) kept his or her workers ignorant.  This was common then as it is today, for an illiterate workforce does not seek higher wages or better working conditions. An illiterate workforce does not ask questions, and it is for that reason that the workforce was denied access to the Tree of Knowledge (an allegorical statement referring to education).

To keep the workers ignorant and thus at their appointed tasks, the helpmeets (those who were organized into groups; fundamentalists illiterate in the art of translation and interpretation misused the word and called it “helpmate”) were given tasks the gentry of the garden did not have time or interest in doing.  The primary workers, collectively known as “Adam” (who was taken from “the earth” where “the earth” is the feminine noun adamah and means both “mother” and earth” showing her superiority over man to whom she gave birth) was given the primary task of naming (not domesticating) the animals.  This “Adam,” (more of a reference to a condition: slavery, than to any individual or group of individuals) in time, was joined by (a [singular] or without an article implying plural) helpmate(s) but the original word is helpmeet(s) who were a lesser-trained group of workers), collectively known as “Eve” (“living”).

Neither the word Adam nor the word Eve designates gender.  Adam is an undifferentiated androgyne. Gender comes with the pronouns for he (ish: אש)/ she (ishshah: נָשִׁים) and refers to sexuality (ishsheh: or אּשֶּׁה “fire”)not to “wife”.  The male is of little importance outside of labor, for ish refers to ability: and it is found in the verb can but not to the affirmation of will.  Ancient civilizations determined generations (or lineages)  through females, not males–except

language, and led a marginal and sometimes lawless existence on the fringes of settled society.  There is a record under Thutmose III, frequently thought to be antecedent to Moses, where the Habiru/Apiru appear as wine makers at the tombs of the dead and are considered to be part of the Hittites:  apr[w]).  That was the case in the patriarchy that came in the soiled baggage of latter-day Hebrews and later Pauline Christians who had very little in common with the Christ of the New Testament.

When Genesis 1:26 records that “Let us make man to our image” it is not the body but the intelligence that is made, and the plural noun is used in each case.  It refers to the feminine intellect. This is why the early religious officials and officiates were priestesses–not priests, and why prophecy came from Oracles (female prophets) not from males.  All ancient civilizations that were settled, established, and had introduced education were feminine in nature (it is the word effeminacy (meaning “traditional female roles” that included warfare, education, government, and animal hunting, while gardening and horticulture were reserved for men: as an adjective it is θηλυπρεπής and as a noun it is γυναικωτός; cp. 1 Corinthians 6:9 which is oriented around the mental illness of sissyphobia or effeminiphobia) that has, over the centuries, been mistranslated and misinterpreted as “homosexual”, as seen in Deipnosophistae12.515e-516a) and gave time, attention and currency to schools, with religion playing a significant role in fertility rites and those seeking bounty from the elements, as with the goddess Asherah (אֲשֵׁרָה‎: Venus) of the Canaanites, who

Asherah / Athirat

originated with the Akkadian and Hittites.  She is  identical with the Ugaritic goddess Athirat that is the source for Jesus walking on water, as the Ugaritic goddess’ name means ‘She who treads [walks] on the sea’.  According to the Hebrew prophet Jeremiah, Asherah was acclaimed as the “Queen of Heaven”: לֶכֶת הַשָּׁמַיִם‎ (Jeremiah 7:18 and 44:17–19, 25)–a title that would later be given to the Mother of Jesus: Mary in the nineteenth century by Pope Pius IX.  Early Hebrews considered Asherah to be the wife of the Hebrew agricultural god Yahweh (Judith M. Hadley (2000), The Cult of Asherah in Ancient Israel and Judah: Evidence for a Hebrew Goddess, Cambridge University Press pp. 122–136).

The first field workers had but minor tasks, at first glance, but one of great importance and need for reasoning ability that Gan Eden’s war leaders obviously did not have the intellectual ability nor time to do: naming “animals” (species of all kinds).  This passage was an initial form of inventory control.  Later, when their sons were conscripted to fight, they were pawns to be at the front line of battles, and considered expendable, but were named in lists to keep track of which males had sons that could fight in later battles.

The injunction in verse 28 of Genesis 1 is frequently read by fundamentalists as a precept to have children (off-spring).  That is not what the original term meant.  It would be a direct command that would make no sense in line with verse 22 where the same injunction is given to fish and birds and refers to the acceptance of additional generations if they occur.  It in no way implies nor affirms that there is a concept of family as animals seldom remember their sires.  What the scrolls show is the desire by the war leaders to have a constant supply of warriors to wage battle.

In addition to the travail or tabulating resources and wealth, the servants of the lords were instructed to tend groves of trees.  That this was their primary duty can be read in the prohibition disallowing them to “eat from the Tree of Knowledge”: to be educated like the warrior class and their children.  The mistake may have been predetermined to check on the obedience of the workers, or may have been accidental: not expecting a worker rebellion in quest of knowledge as was the goal of the German peasant leaders in 1525 CE.

The possibility that the transgression was not planned can be seen in the unique position of the mortal demons of the denizen: the employers who feared that if their workers are the forbidden fruit (gained knowledge) the workers would want more, and not accept the natural state of  nudity (Genesis 2:25b) as the warlords wore some apparel as seen in many engravings and other artifacts.  The use of clothing set aside the nobility and their courtiers, and if the workers would put on raiment it would be an elevation of their status from one that was servile to one that was equal initially.  By eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, the workers would understand why they were relegated to an inferior status, and after their education would fashion aprons of leaves to give them a higher level of recognition.

Asclepius and the snake rod: symbol of medicine and education

Snake God Naga and his consort - Cave Temples- Ajanta- Maharashtra

Genesis and Hindu origins are acute.  This level of recognition of being on the road to equality came when “the Serpent” began to debate Eve.  The serpent had been for thousands of years the symbol of knowledge, and the word stood for the “Great Teacher” (Medical organizations have adopted the Asclepius symbol of a staff and serpent  a theme that began with the Snake God of India)–who was battled by forces of darkness to keep people ignorant.  To this end the demigod Hercules battled the Serpent Ladon, who guarded the tree in the Garden of Hesperides.  The Serpent was known as the “Just and Good Friend” of the workers, and the Lords who walked in the Garden were the “Betrayers of Mortals to keep them enslaved in ignorance”.  The mistake made by the Lords (or gods) of the garden was the creation [actually: elevation] of Eve.  It was Eve who was more resourceful and better educated than Adam as shown in her exegetical responses to questioned posed by the Advocate or Teacher (a bad translation is ha-Satan or הַשָׂטָן that in correct interpretation means “one who opposes the lords who deny education”)  that education through discussion began in earnest.  No longer would the workers rely on a leader to tell them how to think and act.

To this end, wishing to be like god(s)/goddess(es), the workers assembled clothing, not out of shame but to prove themselves equal to the lords and ladies of the field.  Once adorned with suitable raiment, they heard their taskmaster(s) treading on the soil they had been in charge of without being granted even partial ownership.

Realizing that the proprietor(s) would be angry the workers hid.  While Eve had mastered fine points of debate, Eve had not fully mastered the joys of mental liberation nor refined her rhetorical skills to debate as an equal with a warlord.  The workers were still under the illusion that they could excuse their actions without ill effect and relied on their childlike past as pawns by leaving their hiding place when called.

When the workers were asked why they were wearing garments they had sewn together, Eve, the learned leaders of farm field laborers spoke out.  Eve was not afraid, but the cowardly Adam shrank back and blamed Eve for their downfall, rather than admitting that they too had tired of the sinister situation in Gan Eden.  The war lords of Eden knew that they had lost their worth and importance, for their commandments were ignored.  Adam (collectively) were those who felt tied to established regime for fear that by offending the taskmasters they would be denied food and work.

Sumerian clay tablet on Tree of Life in Gilgamesh (2500 BCE; 2000 years before Genesis was written)

The demonic nature of the god(s)/goddess(es) of Gan Eden was unveiled when rebellion was sensed.  The Devils of Eden cursed their employees, and banished the workers from their homes and places where they labored.  They showed neither pity nor benevolence but cruelly sent their staff back to the barren lands “from whence they came”.  The wrathful draconian nature of the numen (the word is derived from nuğrğ ‘to nod’ [a god is thought to nod to indicate his will]; in Semitic theology the god is known as shekhinah or שכינה and is grammatically feminine and refers to a divine presence, as in Genesis 9:27, 14:13 and also Exodus 40:35, Psalms 37:3,  and Jeremiah 33:16) of Eden can be read in these lines, taken from the KJV: “And he [the god(s)/goddess(es) of Eden] said: “Behold Adam is become as one of us, knowing good and evil: now, therefore, lest perhaps he put forth his hand, and take also of the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever [the issue of knowledge and its value in education of mortals is the theme of  Talmud Ketubot 85b; it has little in common with Christian apologists attempts to equate it with Greek term “Parousia”  (παρουσία a second coming or arrival) a form of ἐπιφάνεια [epiphany] that fits into the distortions of the New Apostolic Reformation and quaint preachifications of Texas Governor Rick Perry but has no scriptural foundation].  And the Lord God[(s)/goddess(es)]  sent him out of the paradise of pleasure, to till the earth from which he was taken. And he cast out Adam; and placed before the paradise of pleasure Cherubims, and a flaming sword, turning every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life”  (3:22-24).

Most readers of these verses fail or refuse to understand them. This is what Genesis really says:

(1) Only “Adam” is banned–not Eve, for she had gained knowledge and knew the deceits and evils of the lords/ladies of the Garden.  Eve accompanies Adam because of free will–it was her choice, not the order of the lords, nor request of Adam.

(2) The god(s)/goddess(es) of Eden knew that they needed an elixir to stay alive, and worried that Adam would know “good and evil” and “take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”. Originally, the Tree of Life was a reference to the sciences (it became a metaphor for evolutionary progression) and learning and is ancient Egyptian theology in origin; later it is transmogrified into sexuality with the tree being the penis.  This is a common refrain found in all ancient civilizations, found most commonly in ancient Sumeria: where the Sumerian word Nin_gish_zi_da means “Giving life from the penis” but also “giving life from a tree”.  Nin_gish_zi_da is equal to “Du_mu_zi“, what is known

Tammuz with horned gods (horns were symbols of enlightenment and fertility)

in Hebrew as Tammuz (Syriac: ܬܡܘܙ, Hebrew: תַּמּוּז and  Arabic: تمّوز ) and means “son/man who is life”.  It is also from Assyria to Egypt and Ethiopia, and is similar to the Spanish late medieval quest for the Fountain of Youth.  It shows that none of the god(s)/goddess(es) were omnipotent, omniscient, or omnipresent, but mere mortals who had to feed off the same tree (I will discuss this tree and its phallic symbolism later).

Hieronymus Bosch "Garden of Earthly Delights" (left-wing panel) c 1504

(3) The Garden was a “paradise of pleasure”–not the monotonous heaven where choirs would be singing praises to a deity or group of deities without end.  The original meaning for “paradise” was (גן-עדן) and is a Persian word meaning “orchard” (باغ) and a place of unlimited sexuality (تمایلات جنسی نامحدود) in an arena in which there were pedestals of gold on which marble pillars were set (it appears 33 times in Genesis), more in keeping with the paintings by Hieronymus Bosh than the sermons by contemporary clergy.  This Paradise would not only be filled with every good food, but all things that would delight the eye, tantalize the senses, and make the mind relax.  Much of it would be “dainty”, giving concern for pause and reflection by later clergy who feared that it would include the effeminate which was permissible only for women.  The first people, however, were the same, and the concept of effeminacy was not recorded.

By definition it means “luxury, dainty, delight, finery” and for that reason later Levi writers would condemn such traits as “effeminate” that was misinterpreted and mistranslated in the twentieth century as “homosexual” (a word that appears nowhere in the Bible) as seen in the renditions of the Bible by evangelical extremists.

Sumerian clay table: "Tree of Life" (Gilgamesh)

(4) To further the fantasy of Genesis, the writers of this tract introduce “cherubim”. The word cherub: כְּרוּב  (cherubim is the Hebrew masculine plural כְּרוּבִי) is a word borrowed from the Assyrian kirubu: ܟܪܘܒܐ, from karâbu, “to be near”, and it refers to a bloodline or those close to a physical king or ruler.  It can mean near ones, but was more commonly used for familiars or friends, personal servants, bodyguards, courtiers: those who fawn seeking notice or favor by servile demeanor that can change abruptly when an opening occurs allowing the courtiers to assume the position of power equal to the pseudoepigraphic account of the War in the Heavens between the Devil and the Host.

Assyrian cherub: a human-headed winged-bull

The Old Testament prophet Ezekiel describes cherubim as a tetrad of living creatures (Ezekiel 1:5-10, 26).  Each cherub had four faces: of a man, a lion, an ox, and an eagle. Each had the stature and hands of a man, feet of a calf, and four wings each.  Two of the wings held up the throne of god, and the other two covered their body.  Each was a monster with little that would denote holiness (that appears only in Akkadian texts where they were known as the shedu: protective deities).  And no cherub in any scripture guarded the gates to Gan Eden or Paradise (cherubim are mentioned only once in the New Testament: Hebrews 9:5). Originally the word came from the ancient Egyptian Xefer by metathesis from Xeref =K-r-bh and like most of the Old Testament is plagiarized from ancient Egyptian theology to mask antecedent Hebrew mythology.

Assyrian flaming sword (10th century BCE)

(5) The “flaming (לַהַט) sword [associated with the numbers 777 meaning a fight between good and evil]” is ancient Babylon in origin (Job 31) and originally meant “drought”.  To re-enter Paradise would mean that farm and field hands had to pass over parched land without water and experience a drought on the tongue: a form of torture used by Akkadian kings and Hyksos military.  The concept of a flaming sword protecting a special garden for kings first appears in Assyrian literature in the tenth century BCE.

When the initial workforce left Gan Eden, they separated into two groups: farmers and animal-tenders.  Since animals wander naturally and frequently feed on crops that are not protected by fences this led to range-wars between crop growers and animal tenders that turned bloody.  This became the building block for the myth of Cain and Abel (Genesis 4).  What is unique in this inserted “chapter” is that the god(s)/goddess(es) of Genesis 1-3, who abandoned Adam and Eve, were ever watchful of their “sons”.  One of the sons was actually the product of one of the gods in a myth equaling Zeus’ seduction and rape of Europa, and in part similar to a point of Isis impregnating herself with her brother/husband Osiris’ severed penis (Genesis 4:1b).  A literal reading of the record reveals rampant incest: for “Cain knew his wife” (Genesis 4:17a).  A closer textual review shows the movement of people as a community who formed cities (Genesis 4:17b)–it is not a census of individuals.

The theme of incest carries throughout Genesis and most of what is termed the Torah or Old Testament.  Monogamy was for the very poor, and for those whose lives were of little consequence and not considered worthy of inclusion in this apologetic.

9th century BC orthostat relief found in Kapara's palace, Tell Halaf, depicting Gilgamesh Between Two Bull-Men Supporting a Winged Sun Disk

The unique spitefullness of the deities of Genesis comes to full force with the plagiarism of the Story of Noah/Noe, with the most complete fabrications coming from the Babylonian Gilgamesh, East African Masai, and the Canadian Montagnais.  In each case god(s)/goddess(es) is/are not only angry but psychologically out of control.  The deity/deities is/are mentally demented and given to vengeance.  They are cruel task masters who slaughter indiscriminately because the workers do not sing the praises of their tyrants nor worship them in a way that the host (a word for both a heavenly group as well as a martial gathering of warriors) see(s) to be an unpardonable fault of those he/she/they demand(s) worship (Genesis 6:17).

Dead Sea Scroll (1947)

Elohim (אֱלהִים) a grammatically singular or plural noun for “god” or “gods” in both modern and ancient Hebrew language, and he/she/it/they  is/are insensitive, immodest, immoral, and immature [since most of the references in the Old Testament to Elohim are in the plural, for the sake of ease of reading, I will use the pronoun “they” unless a singular is called for in the original scrolls as compared with those from the Dead Sea (primarily Old Testament), and Nag

Nag Hammadi codices (as found)

Hammadi (primarily Arian texts of New Testament Apocrypha), as the Old Testament Hebrews, collectively, were never monotheistic causing the prophets to blast their constant return to the gods of the past).  The gods prohibit mortals from enjoying a medium rare steak or any meat that is not fully cooked (Genesis 9:4) while the deity/deities is/are cannibals (Genesis 9:5).  The lords of power confirm their sentence by issuing the diktat that “Whosoever shall shed man’s blood, his blood shall be shed: for man was made in the image of [the] god(s)/goddess(es)” (Genesis 9:6).

Retribution - Achilles Keeps Hector's Body

With this inclusion the cultic phase of retribution is strengthened including “divine” approval of capital punishment on the grounds of deicide (from the medieval deicidium: which includes the killing of any god(s)/goddess(es), especially the 37 crucified saviours).  This led many who wanted to become gods to commission followers to kill them so as to attain sanctity: from prophets to priests, even in the tale of the New Testament Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of Judas

Gospel of Judas (National Geographic)

The Gospel of Judas was a “lost” manuscript first mentioned in a treatise c.  180 CE by a bishop, Irenaeus of Lyon, (in what is now France).  It was redacted centuries later, so its authenticity is questionable.  However it has been carbon-dated to be at least 1700 years old–but not contemporaneous with the life of the Jesus of the New Testament but is equal to the other Gospel, for the first Gospel (of John) was not written until the second century CE.

Although Noah/Noe is considered within the text inserted into the Genesis narrative to have been “blessed” by the god(s)/goddess(es) of the antediluvian and postdeluvian worlds he was not given great intelligence nor insight as one would expect from the mirror image of a deity.  Noah/Noe cursed his grandson for an act (most likely being similar to that act which caused Oedipus exceptional mental anguish when the Greek god realized that his wife was his own mother; the incestwas either that of Ham with his father or mother, or Canaan with his grandmother or grandfather: Embry, Brad. “The ‘Naked Narrative’ from Noah to Leviticus: Reassessing Voyeurism in the Account of Noah’s Nakedness in Genesis 9.22-24”, Journal for the Study of the Old TestamentJune 2011 35: 417-433, a pdf is available at a price of a subscription) that allegedly his father committed: sodomy (Genesis 9:25).   In the ancient world, tribal nations

preferred endogamous marriage – marriage to one’s relatives, and the contemporary evangelical extremist fundamentalist fanaticism over marriage being between one man and one woman was never accepted by any culture, nor even a rule until after Constantine created his Christian Church that remained divided as seen in the various banishments of Arians and Orthodox, with the emperor being succeeded by his son who was a follower of Arius.  Contrary to Maggie Gallagher and the National Organization for Marriage and biblical illiterates such as Pat Robertson, James Dobson, American Family Association, the archbishops of New York City, Philadelphia, Lima (Perú), and so forth, the ideal marriage as detailed in the Old Testament was usually the joining (the word “marriage” had not yet appeared) of one cousin to another cousin, a brother to a sister, or any close relative with another.  It was often forbidden for an eldest daughter to even marry outside the family (Genesis 20:12; cf. Singer, Isidore; Adler, Cyrus; (eds.) et al. (1901–1906) “Incest,” in The Jewish Encyclopedia. Funk and Wagnalls, New York; Akerly, Ben Edward, The X-Rated Bible: An Irreverent Survey of Sex in the Scriptures (Feral House, 1998) ISBN 0-922915-55-5; pp. 1–13; Ide, Arthur Frederick (1992). Noah & the Ark: the Influence of Sex, Homophobia & Heterosexism in the Flood Story and its Writing. Las Colinas, TX: Monument Press).

What is ignored is where the three sons of Noah/Noe visited their father in his tent and brought discord and aroused curses from Noah/Noe, a similar incident occurred with Abram when three messengers visited him in his tent–and one roused an unusual response in Abram’s wife who laughed when he told her that she would give birth to a son in her old age (Genesis 18:1-8, the original texts refer to the messengers as “three men” it does not read “angels”).

The gods/goddesses of Genesis were not to be trifled with.  Each tribe was to worship the deity/deities separately, and the attempt to form a single culture and language was forbidden.  When the new mortals began to build a Tower to reach into the “heavens” the “Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of Adam [earth] were building”–the omnipresence of the deities was nowhere to be found or experienced, and the deities required a physical viewing of what they could not imagine (Genesis 11).  The truth of the story is that of a landlord coming to review the elevation of a new structure–but one that the deities feared could be used against them and their tyrannical rule over the people of Babel (Genesis 11:7-8).  The deities were alarmed that the people of Babel “all have one tongue” and resented, rejected, and vilified ease of access of communication (how Latin was allowed to be a universal language in the Middle Ages, or English to become the language of business in the modern world is a mystery, unless these gods died: a common occurrence especially for leaders of nations and brokers of commerce).  There are numerous problems with this story, among them the line: Go to, let us build us a city and a tower (מגדל בבל), whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”  The problem is that may reach is not a word in Hebrew; it could read high indicating a growth pattern (Genesis 11:4:   וַיֹּאמְרוּ הָבָה נִבְנֶה־לָּנוּ עִיר וּמִגְדָּל וְרֹאשֹׁו בַשָּׁמַיִם וְנַעֲשֶׂה־לָּנוּ שֵׁם פֶּן־נָפוּץ עַל־פְּנֵי כָל־הָאָרֶץ׃); second the expressed fear that the builders had to create such a “tower” indicates a threat of a major war that would scatter the people–a war that would come when the gods/warriors attacked, with the copyists repeating the speech (Genesis 11:8-9) indicating a wish-fulfillment (cp. Deuteronomy 4:27, Jeremiah 51:53) all verses being plagiarized from Babylonian texts (textual arguments were early as in Oppert, Jules (1864). A woman named Omoroca (Um- Uruk, the mother of Uruk) presided over this creation; in the Chaldean language she bears the name of Thavatth (Tiamat), signifying in Greek ‘the sea’, and she is also identified with the moon.

Things being in this condition, Belos (Bel-Marduk) came upon the scene and cut the woman in half; of the lower part of her body he made the earth, and of the upper half the heavens, and all the creatures that were in her disappeared. This is a figurative way of explaining the production of the universe and of animated beings from humid matter. Belos then cut off his own head, and the other gods having kneaded the blood flowing from it with the earth, formed men, who by that means were gifted with understanding, and made participants of divine thought“).

From the apostacy of Babel, the gods of Genesis become increasingly more ruthless and pornographic:  allowing the Hindu god Abram (Brahma or Brahma) to illegally invade (Genesis 12:7) the land of Canaan (Genesis 12:5).  Abram (who would eventually be known as Abraham) was a contemptible ass-kisser and a loathsome coward. He is a terrible husband and a horrible father.  From there the conniving and artful dodger move toe Egypt where he claimed his wife was his sister (Genesis 12:13) and sold her into prostitution (Genesis 12:15-16), not once, but several times: the second time to Abimelech (Genesis 20:2-3) stating again the lie that Sara was his sister.  When the second lie is discovered, Abram attempts to cover up the lie, offering a psychotic excuse and adds, “Anyway, she really is my sister, my father’s daughter though not my mother’s, besides being my wife” (Genesis 20:12).

Not only did Abram denude reality in keeping with the venal nature of his gods, but Abram had a life-long knack for putting people of prestige in difficult situations and then making them buy their way out, thereby enriching him as if he were the chief of an ancient costa nostra (also known as cosa nostra: our thing).  Abram and his criminal accomplice/wife, who played the role of a whore, are despicable opportunists, that in any civilized world both would have been judged guilty by lord, peerage or their peers, and ordered executed.  What the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) and Maggie Gallagher forget is that in the Old Testament, marriage was never considered sacred nor was it a troth between one man and one woman in a perfect union of fidelity.

The gods of Abram is even more reprehensible, for instead of reprimanding Abram, the despicable deity denies Abram nothing. Instead, the pandering paladin of ignoble causes whois  a vindictive, revengeful mass-murderer and scourged the Egypt royal family (a dystheistic demon who would attack more vengefully with plagues at the time of the legendary “Moses”)  but did nothing to punish the deception and theft of Abram (Genesis 12:17).  This, however, is not the account in the Qur’an, which portrays Abram as a preacher as a youth, working even to convert his father to “One God” (Qur’an 6:74).

Abram’s curse would later be the fodder for his nephew, Lot (לוֹט), who would ultimately attempt to match his uncle by offering his two daughters to the people of Sodom “to do with as you wish” when the townspeople and their leaders came to the home of Lot and demanded to know who the strangers were since the city was at war and the messengers had not registered with the magistrates (cp. Qur’an 51: 24-34; 25: 51-60).  Lot was neither a righteous nor a holy man; he was a greedy, self-serving, self-pleasuring parasite preying on innocence and trust.  Like his grandfather, Terah who arranged for his large family to set a course for Canaan where they could steal land to build  a new home to the place of Sichem, the present day West Bank of Nablus (Genesis 12:5-6).

Lot's two daughters seducing their father (1616 painting by Hendrik Goltzius)

Lot was preoccupied with immediate wealth than working with the local people:  he sat resolutely only to act as a judge for his fellow mercenaries who surrounded the Cities of the Plain: Sodom, Gomorrah, and Zoar (where he committed incest with his two daughters).  More concerned with the messengers than his family’s safety, Lot, who was a guest of the city and was suffered to live among the citizens, told the men and women of the city (the actual verse reads: “the people of the city went to the house, both young and old, all the people together” and is a reference to males and females of all ages–not a group of men intent on gang rape; Genesis 19:4), “Please, brothers, do not be wicked. Look , I have two daughters who are virgins [actually, this should be translated as “young girls”–it is the source for Judges 19:24 and implies innocence]. I am ready to send them out to you, for you to treat as you please, but do nothing to these men since they are now under the protection of my roof” (Genesis 19:8: הִנֵּה־נָא לִי שְׁתֵּי בָנֹות אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדְעוּ אִישׁ אֹוצִיאָה־נָּא אֶתְהֶן אֲלֵיכֶם וַעֲשׂוּ לָהֶן כַּטֹּוב בְּעֵינֵיכֶם רַק לָאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵל אַל־תַּעֲשׂוּ דָבָר כִּי־עַל־כֵּן בָּאוּ בְּצֵל קֹרָתִי׃ ) and then, when none took his daughters, would move to the mountains of Zoar (see: Ide, Arthur Frederick (1991). Zoar & her sisters : homosexuality, the Bible, and Jesus Christ; with an introduction by J. Michael Clark. Oak Cliff, TX USA: Minuteman Press), engage incestuous with both, and make both pregnant while, like Noah, being drunk on wine (Genesis 19:30-38), while his god and the devil devoted to Abram was bloody with the innocent sanguine plasma of the citizens of Sodom (Genesis 19:24-25; see: Ide, Arthur Frederick (1985). The city of Sodom & homosexuality in western religious thought to 630 CE. Dallas, TX USA: Monument).

Abram’s nephew, Lot, was worse and more criminal than his uncle who knew that the land he stole was never rightfully his own (Genesis 15:13).  Lot, in an equally evil manner plotted to steal the land of Jordan (Genesis 13:10), with the help of an equally corrupt piqueerer and bandit daemon (Genesis 13:17).  As devious as Autolycus (cf. (Homer 10.254 I), a master of thievery and more contemptible than Sisyphus (Hyginus 50-99), Lot enriched himself at the expense of others: stealing, slaying, besieging and betraying his hosts and compatriots all with the benediction of his gods  (Genesis 14).

Egypt's Ark of the Covenant containing the spirit of Osiris (Thebes)

The gods did not care that their “chosen people” were the most disreputable and despicable of all the people in the Middle East.  Instead the gods/warlords of Genesis rejoiced in their slaughter of innocent women and children.  Identical to the Egyptians from whom it is alleged they left, the Israelites carried their Ark of the Covenant into battle so that their gods would help them fight as the deities did when Moses held his hands up in supplication, and Joshua did in his destructive attack on the City of Jericho.  There is nothing peaceful or peace-loving about the gods of the Old Testament; for example, note that in Deuteronomy 32:42, God says: I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives, the heads of the enemy leaders. In Isaiah 49:26 the devouring and blood drinking is left to the enemy: I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine. These passages come from ancient Egyptian theology, far older than any book in the Old Testament.  Note, for example the Egyptian goddess Anat’s delight in battle: For Anat’s hand is victory; For knee-deep She plunges in the blood of soldiery; Up to the neck in the gore of troops. Until She is sated She smites in the house. Fights between the two tables, shedding the blood of soldiery. She also is described as gleefully stacking up the heads of the enemy.

Ancient Hebrews carry their Ark of the Covenant as they invade foreign lands

In addition to the gods of the Israelites championing, demanding, and commissioning wars, the same deities sanctioned the rustle of cattle and sheep, the theft of land and wealth, while urging males to commit bigamy and incest (Genesis 16:6f) with the messengers of the gods (captains under the command of a general) impregnating women to pass off as the children of the local chieftains (Genesis 16:9-12; it is from this reading that Islam adopts Ishmael as its divine origin, although Ishmael “shall be a wild man: his hand will be against all men, and all men’s hands against him: and he shall pitch his tents over against all his brethren” (On Ishmael, in the Qur’an, see: 2: 132-133; the Qur’an refers to Islam as “the religion of Abraham”: 2: 135).  There was no concept of housing, brick, mortar, or other construction devices, no statement of future hydraulics or hydrostatics, air conditioning or the like, and technically none of these should ever have been invented as the gods of Genesis did not ordain, commission or command their invention: proving this old fable to be only reflective of the desert dwellers ignorance of science and the future.  In short, Genesis was never intended to be read as a guide to the present world and its activities as the New Apostolic Reformation declares and its pretender prince Rick Perry preaches.  What also is forgotten is that it was not Abram who impregnated Hagar the Egyptian, but rather a mortal  messenger of the gods–slightly less favored than Eve who was impregnated by the lords of the garden of Eden.

The rules and regulations of the Society of the Covenant of Abraham in Mantua, which provided the wherewithal that enabled each family, no matter how impecunious, to have a joyous celebration at a son's brit milah (circumcision), Baale B'rith Abraham (Society of the Covenant of Abraham), Mantua, 1791.

Not only did the gods or lords of Genesis commit rape, pillage, and plunder, but were barbaric at best and most commonly bloodthirsty assassins, who like the mythological god Moloch, demanded blood sacrifices.  These we see when the evil tyrant of the earth demanded a human sacrifice from Abram: a sacrifice common in all Semitic speaking societies.  Initially this bloodbath was to be the cutting off of the foreskin of Abram’s penis.  The warlocks of Genesis  17 were not satisfied with this hygienic surgical practice, but demanded it “of every man-child in your generations: he that is born in the house, as well as the bought servant shall be circumcised, and whosoever is not of your stock.”  This, undoubtedly, came as a shock to guests who were expecting food and drink–only to have their foreskin cut-off without their foreknowledge or consent (Genesis 17:24-27; note that even “servants and strangers were circumcised” without any record of their consent: an act of torture that was practiced by the barbarous tribes of nomads known at that time, for circumcision was a mark of slavery and a form of debasement).  This act must be condemned as theft: taking that which is not voluntarily given (“You shall not steal”), but such is not the case as it is hailed as a sign of election as Abram’s gods were a common band of thieves, exercising an ancient Egyptian tradition of circumcision that later-day Jews call brit milah (בְּרִית מִילָה) when the infant male is eight-days old (Genesis 17:10-14).

That circumcision was an Egyptian invention (then to keep the swirling desert sands from lodging between the head of the penis and its foreskin) is clear in the account of “Joshua” (5:2-9) who noted that the Israelites who left Egypt and “born in the wilderness” were not circumcised.  Tomb artwork from the Sixth Dynasty (2345–2181 BCE) of Egypt shows men with circumcised penises,

and one relief from this period shows the rite being performed on a standing adult male in an effort to heighten and prolong sexual pleasure (no civilization ever argued that circumcision was enacted to prevent disease–this modern myth does not appear until much later, and finds its full voice in the nineteenth century). The Egyptian hieroglyph for “penis” depicts either a circumcised or an erect organ. The examination of Egyptian mummies has found some with foreskin and others who were circumcised, showing that it was neither required nor universally desired.  According to Herodotus, writing in the fifth century BCE, the Colchians, Ethiopians, Phoenicians, and Syrians also practiced circumcising males in their cultures–long before the Hebrews declared it to be a law demanded of the Hebrew gods.  In sub-equatorial Africa, circumcision was, and is still, performed on adolescent boys to symbolize their transition to warrior status or adulthood (Marck, J (1997). “Aspects of male circumcision in sub-equatorial African culture history”. Health Transit Review 7(supplement):

Ancient Greek gymnasts

pp. 337–360).  As for all Hebrews seeking and rejoicing over circumcision, that is both a historical and Biblical (extra-biblical) lie, for under the Seleucids, many Jewish men attempted to hide or reverse their circumcision so they could exercise in Greek gymnasia (1 Maccabees 1:15), where nudity was the norm.  The Seleucids forbade the practice of circumcision, and punished those who performed it – as well as the infants who underwent it – with death (cf. 1 Maccabees 1:44-48, cp. 1:60-61) for it set people apart who refused to integrate into a general society, causing dissension and strife as well as combat between sectors within the cities.

Sacrifice of Isaac by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1603)

Eternal ethereal evil designed by demented denizens dwelling in clouds and sitting on rainbows that were crafted in ancient Egypt by the priest On (who is the prototype for “Moses”) and his perfidious prelature does not stop with the introduction of the cruelty of circumcision.  Abram’s god is not to be satisfied with a little blood, but demanded the supreme sacrifice: the slaughter of Abram’s promised son–the son conceived by Sarah after she was visited by two messengers (who, according to the text, were the last to be “with” her before her pregnancy)–but only after Sarah tells Abraham to get rid of Hagar and Ishmael, his bastard child.

Abraham exiling Hagar and Ishmael because the boys played together by Pieter Jozef Verhaghen, 1781

The abandoning of his second wife and bastard son is a decision that Abram’s gods support, as the deities drones: “Do not distress yourself on the account of the boy and your slave-girl [she is not referred to as a “wife”]. Do whatever Sarah says), for Isaac is the one through whom your name will be carried on” (Genesis 21:12).  There are two secreted stories in this short record.  The first is given marginally:  Sarah was jealous seeing Ishmael play with Isaac (Genesis 21:9).  Two children playing together is natural; however, Ishmael was older and by right the heir.  The problem is, in this case, jealousy:  Sarah was as scheming and cold-hearted as her husband, and wanted the estate passed to her child, even though Isaac was younger.  The second story is argumentative–for there is no indication that the two boys playing together were anything but friends (at least) and brothers in spirit; but there was a concern among some warrior communities that male youths would not continue the propagation of future military men.  This indicates the possibility that Sarah had a barely hidden fear that Ishmael might seduce and even sodomize her son, as happened within the story of Noah/Noe who most likely was either sodomized by his son (Ham) or grandson (Canaan), the latter being the prime suspect as children act out what they hear or think can be pleasurable, while adults are more reluctant, having been reprimanded against certain acts–as was the case with the qadesh (although damned as pagan fertility priests by later prophets).

Egyptian Stele of Qetesh depicting the Qadesh (Hathor/Isis) with Min/Osiris (L) and Reshep/Set (R)

Originally the qadesh was a Semitic deity whose worship was imported into Egypt during the New Kingdom, and the word was a proper noun: her name (Qadesh). She was a goddess of nature, beauty and sexual pleasure who would be adopted by other civilizations and called by various names, such as Venus. In the earliest records of Qadesh during the New Kingdom period her husband was the god Reshep.  Reshep was a Syrian deity whose worship was introduced to Egypt during the Middle Kingdom and therefore of greater antiquity. When her worship spread to Egypt she was associated with the fertility god Min, and with her husband became an early Trinity that rivaled the ancient Trinity of Osiris, Isis and Horus that would become known as Is-Ra-El.

Qadesh is frequently depicted as holding snakes (gods representing male genitalia and the path to good health and education seen as the conduct of inquiry where everything was to be questioned as Socrates insisted) or a papyrus plant [representing Reshep who would be accorded as the inventor of paper on which to write “books”] in her right hand and lotus flowers (representing either female genitalia or Min) in her left hand) that brought about the wrath of the gods of Noah/Noe.  A third understanding is even more clear.  In the exile of Hagar and Ishmael, the reader can see a replay of the tragedy in the Garden (Gan Eden), the woman is superior.  It is the woman’s words, Sarah’s, that are taken seriously.  It is the woman’s decision that becomes the modus operandi and ultimate command for man (Abram), who obeys and hastens his second wife and their child out of his camp with only a small amount of bread and a single bottle of water (Genesis 21:14a) so that the two nearly die of thirst and hunger (Genesis 21:16) until the dark spirit of evil sends them a magic well (Genesis 21:19, following ancient Egyptian mythologies).

At the same time Abimelech (to whom Abram had at one time sold his wife) and the general of his army, Phicol, appeared (both were from the Land of the Palestine: Genesis 21:33, notifying the world that the land that Abram and his descendents claimed was territory originally owned by the Palestinian people), terrifying Abram that they had come to regain the property that Abram stole from them, and learned that the well that was given to Hagar had belong to Abimelech that Abram claimed was his–making his god not only one who would destroy innocence but also a thief (Genesis 21:25-26).

Abraham sacrifices Ishmael (9th century Qur'an in author's private library)

With Hagar and Ishmael no longer in the armed camp of Abram, god moved swiftly to claim his blood-right: to demand the execution of the boy Isaac at the hand of his father Abram (Genesis 22:2).  In the Qur’an (37: 100-111) it is Ishmael who was to be sacrificed, as Isaac is not born until after the event.  The Hebrew text reads that the gods of Abram “tempted” (Genesis 22:1) the patriarch to test the loyalty of the old man, while buried within the passage is an acknowledgement that the gods were not omniscient, omnibenevolence, or omnipotent; in short, they were not gods but senior military leaders constantly afraid that one of their junior leaders would rise up and overthrow their command and take control of the army of the nomads.

The near holocaust that the gods of Abram demanded did not materialize, nor is there much commentary on subsequent events until Sarah dies, “in the city of Arbee which is Hebron, in the land of Canaan” (Palestine) whom Abram recognized as the rightful owners by bowing before them and petitioning to bury his dead wife in Palestine (Genesis 23:6-8, repeated in verses 12-15), for which he paid a princely sum of “four hundred sicles of silver of common current money” (Genesis 23:16b).

From that time forward, incest became the rule of the tribe.  Abram (the name is changed to Abraham in Genesis 17:5; the changing of names of deities and mortals was common throughout the ancient world as a designation of the individual’s role or place in the community) had his son Isaac marry his cousin Rebecca (her father was Abram’s brother: Genesis 24:27b, the details of the story are repeated twice as the copyists were either unaware of one another’s work or tried for emphasis, but the words vary as does their impact; the difference being excused as a testimony of faith since the servant took an oath to find a family member for Isaac to marry by placing “his hand under the thigh” (Genesis 24:2) that is זית מהולתי bigzirath mehulathi, or in sectione circumcisionis meoe that was an act where the oath taker put his {women were not permitted to make oaths} hand on the part that bore the mark of circumcision, the sign of God’s covenant.  It is tantamount to our kissing or laying the hand upon the Bible/Torah and was a part of a promise before undertaking a journey; it is yarek.

Abraham blesses his son when Issac touches his father's testicles (drawing 1891, Gustave Dore)

Yarek means “the touching of testicles” rather than “caressing the penis.”  It is a reference to a special closeness with the gods by touching that which began the mortal race.  It carries the weight of obedience as the hands are pinned under the thigh and thus are unable to be used and unable to do harm.  The printed text is Cp. Genesis 32:35 where the word נאבק is reflective of חבק meaning a contract with oneself to keep an oath) of Abraham his Lord, and swore to him upon this word”).

Sarah’s death did not distract Abram for long.  He soon married again, and by Keturah, Abraham had six more sons: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.  He died before he saw the iniquities of his son Esau, his life deliberately taken by his god who had become a mercy-killer who issued a strange permission, as Abram was buried by his sons Isaac and Ishmael in the Cave of the Patriarchs (Genesis 23:19 and 25:9) even though he had not seen Ishmael for decades.

El depicted with two lions on the back of the handle of the Gebel el-Arak Knife

Abram/Abraham is referred to as a “Patriarch” by contemporary translators and interpreters of Genesis.  Patriarch, at the time of the work’s original composition did not have the meaning it does today: as being the senior leader of a group or family.  Instead, Patriarch in Hebrew is a title, Kal El ( קל-אל), which means “voice of God” and was a message not a messenger, similar to Marvel Comic’s Superman (Clark Kent) was known as Kal El on the planet Krypton, fathered by Jor-El (it means “I am memory” a title of ancient Egyptian and Ethiopian gods).  El (cognate to Akkadian ‘ilu and then to Hebrew עֵלִי: Eli and Arabic الله: Allah) was the husband to Asherah who was the authoress of Canaanite theology, from which most of Genesis comes and the father (sexual as well as inspirational) of all creatures: as recorded in the clay tablets of Ugarit (modern Rās Shamrā – Arabic: رأس شمرا‎, Syria) and was frequently portrayed with his son Ba’al Hadad;  both wore bull horns on their headdress symbolizing strength and virility, and both were considered supernatural forces.  In many ways the Canaanite El was similar to the mythological Adam:  he may have been a desert god at some point, and, according to myths, had two wives (Eve and Lilith) and built a sanctuary with them and his new children in the desert. Like Noah, El fathered many gods, but most important were Hadad [Japeth], Yam [Ham], and Mot [Sem].

The subsequent story of Isaac is nothing more than a retelling of the fable of Abraham.  Isaac meets with King Abimelech who forms a league with the son of Abraham (Genesis 26:3), and continued to steal from the Palestinians, who had closed the wells he had dug illegally on their land to steal their water (Genesis 26:18-19, 22).  Isaac, the reincarnation of Abraham, treacherously repeated the lies of his father, claiming that his wife was only his sister (Genesis 26:7 ff).

Treachery was common throughout the Genesis narrative, not only with Noah, Abraham, and Isaac, but also with Jacob and others.  Jacob, conspiring with his mother Rebecca who was far more devious and obscene than her son whom she counseled on the art of theft and subterfuge (Genesis 27:8-9), stole Esau’s birthright (Genesis 27:19), and earned a promise that anyone who would curse him would be cursed, as the gods of Isaac and Jacob were creatures that knew only the art of swearing and vilifying others (Genesis 27:29).  Isaac’s evil did not stop with disinheriting his first-born son, but went further and turned Esau into a slave of his brother, promising Esau that he would “live by the sword” and serve his brother–foretelling the plagiarized lines in Matthew 10:34, when the Jesus of the New Testament claimed that he came to the earth not to bring peace but the sword.

Esau, realizing that he was tricked as Abel fooled Cain, made a vow as Cain had made to kill his brother (Genesis 27:41b).  Overhearing her second born’s oath, Rebecca warned Jacob to flee, and take a wife from his kin, because “if Jacob take a wife of the stock of this land, I choose not to live” for marrying someone who was not an immediate blood relation was anathema to the ancient Hebrews (Genesis 27:46).  Esau married his niece, the daughter of Ishmael who was Abraham’s son (Genesis 28:9b).

Suddenly the forbidden Tower of Babel is reintroduced, this time as a ladder  (Hebrew: Sulam Yaakov סולם יעקב) into heaven with angels ascending and descending as did the ancient gods of Babylon (Genesis 28:12).  While the gods of Babylon had little to say to the multitude building the tower-city of Babel, the gods of Mesopotamia, following Akkadian and Hittite lore, spoke for some time to Jacob (Genesis 28:13-15), leading Jacob to rename the city known as Luz (meaning “curved”) in the Douai-Rheims edition it is Luza, but that city is found only in Russia: Луза) to Beth-el (two words: בֵּית אֵל‎‎, usually translated as “house of god” but actually should be translated as “house of the gods below the heavens”: a pantheon and is Ugaritic in origin: bt il).

Several occurrences in this fable require attention.  The gods stand at the top of the ladder.  Collectively they promise Jacob the land of Canaan, indicating that many were Mesopotamian deities, as seen when Jacob awakes and anoints the stone (baetylus) with oil and names the place Beth-el.  This fiction is repeated in another account, (Genesis 35:3, 6) repeat the covenant with the gods and repetitively renames of the place as El-Bethel.  It is here that Jacob becomes a trinitarian god and takes the Egyptian name Is[is]-Ra-El.  It is at this second city of Is-Ra-El that Jeroboam, first king of Israel, set up centres for his Golden Calf cult on the southern boundary of his kingdom and Dan on the northern boundary, and appointed non-Levites as his priests (1 Kings 12:25–33), as the Jews will never truly become a monotheistic people until the canon of the Old Testament is affirmed in the New Era (CE).  This is seen not only among the common Hebrews, but also among the chosen leaders, for Jacob’s family were idol worshippers (Genesis 35:2 f), and incest became increasingly more common (Genesis 35:22 f).  The only prohibition was against coitus interruptus, as with Onan (אוֹנָן) in Genesis 38:9: וַיֵּדַע אֹוןָן כִּי לֹּא לֹו יִהְיֶה הַזָּרַע וְהָיָה אִם־בָּא אֶל־אֵשֶׁת אָחִיו וְשִׁחֵת אַרְצָה לְבִלְתִּי נְתָן־זֶרַע לְאָחִיו, cp. 25:5-10, with the law not being formed until Deuteronomy 25:6 (reinforcing that Genesis was a redaction or later novel written to include all previous tracts and testaments, especially those accorded the pseudo-authorship of Moses.  The “sin of Onan” has been exposed as a form of literature and literary device (Dancy, Jphn (2002, c2001). The Divine Drama: the Old Testament as Literature. Cambridge, UK: Lutterworth Press, p. 92; there are some who claim the act was masturbation, but that does not follow the text that reads “he went in to his wife”).

From the renaming of a cult center to celebrate his deities, Jacob would travel to marry two first-cousins: Lia/Leah and Rachel–the result of deception by his uncle (Genesis 29).  When Rachel could have no children, and Lia/Leah stopped having children, like Sarah, both gave the reincarnated Abraham their handmaidens to wed and bed and from them receive children (Genesis 30). In each case, the sons born (daughters are not mentioned) are actually different dynasties that come together under Is-Ra-El.  It is at Genesis 30:24 that Rachel finally has a son: Joseph (יוֹסֵף or in Arabic يوسف‎ that literally means “May Yahweh add”, and on this the Qur’an considers Joseph to be a prophet: suras vi. 84, xl. 34‎), who, allegedly goes to Egypt and does so well that he ascends to great power.  The problem is that there is no ancient Egyptian record that mentions a Joseph, nor a seven-year famine, or any other parts of the tattered tale. In Exodus 1:8, it says that a “new king came to power in Egypt and did not know Joseph” indicating that the legend of Joseph was only known by the courtiers who wrote the account without having recourse to Egyptian records.  More likely, Joseph was the pharaoh Imhotep, or two of his most trusted men: Yuya (commander of the chariots) and Seph (from: Osarseph (literally “Vizier Seph”) who prohibited the worship of the Egyptian gods); cp. Genesis 41:40-45; 45:8; Isaiah 41:8, James 2:23.  Furthermore, at the time that Joseph was to have lived, the Hyksos were in charge of Egypt and were a brutal people who were unwilling to listen to soothsayers or dreamers, had little time for gentleness or reason, and found sex to be pleasant regardless with whom or the condition of the person thereby discounting Joseph’s alleged scruples about being forced into adultery.

Egyptian culture, customs, theology, names, titles, places, and people return from Genesis 37-50. The Joseph story has long been considered only a literary piece: not historical in nature (Gunkle, Hermann (1997).  Genesis / translated and interpreted by Hermann Gunkel ; translated by Mark E. Biddle ; foreword by Ernest W. Nicholson.  Macon, GA, USA: Mercer University Press, p. 387).  The majority of modern biblical scholars date the Joseph story in its current form to the 5th century Persian era at the earliest (Soggin, J. Alberto (1999) An Introduction to the History of Israel and Judah (original title: Introduzione alla storia d’Israele e di Giuda. Brescia, Italy: Paideia Editrice, c. 1992; 2d ed.: Valley Forge, PA, USA: Trinity Press International;  1993; 1998 trans. John Bowden, SCM Press, 1999,  p. 102-103).

A careful reading of Genesis shows that it is a work of fiction compiled from numerous, far-older, sources that span the nomadic travels of several communities of Mesopotamian shepherds and mercenaries.  It draws heavily on ancient Egyptian texts as well as takes liberally from the theologies of ancient India.  The stories in Genesis are repeated with only trifling attention to changing of names, more of the standards of elementary students rather than serious researchers and writers.  The contemporary version used today is a patchwork-quilt of bad translations and woefully ignorant interpretations, that hopefully will be corrected when schools begin to teach the foundations of these two disciplines. The great tragedy is that people like Maggie Gallagher who promises that there is “gonna [sic] be a bloody mess in New York” over same-sex marriages, Rick Perry who has presided over more executions in Texas or anywhere else in the USA than any other governor, Bradlee Dean (Smith), Rav Yisroel Belsky and 39 other Torah-challenged rabbis, and the American Family Association and other “faith-based” groups base their cries for a holocaust against human rights on the errors in Genesis and other “books” of the Old Testament: a tract of hate.
